Admittedly, there were a few things to be happy about. Marina was back to normal. Noh, Terrance, and, most importantly, Jay were awake. I managed to knock him out in our… reunion.

But I sure didn't look happy.

According to Jay, at least. But you can ask any of the other Hunters, not just my ever-so-annoying-so-why-do-I-care-about-him-so-much brother, and they'll tell you I never do.

Well, except maybe that one time with Marina and the Sohrem and killing the…

Okay, you know what? Let's forget about that. Because that made me seem marginally evil.

So, Cassidy had told me that Ten and Teresa had gotten into some kinda of argument about me when everyone else was being all happy and stuff. But it didn't really surprise me. I mean, Teresa could get into an argument about whether a little bit of water was a drop or a puddle.

So I wasn't really expecting what happened next.

"Hey, Jaq!" Ten yelled from across the room. I got up and walked over to her.

She was with Teresa, who did not look happy.

I raised an eyebrow. What was this about?

"Well, Teresa and I have come to a disagreement," Ten said.

I nodded. "Cassidy told me."

"So, which is it?" Teresa asked.

Okay, I had no clue what she was talking about. "What?"

Ten looked at me weird. "I don't suppose he told you what it was about?"

I shook my head.

Ten opened her mouth like she was going to say something, but Teresa cut in.

"Are you a guy or a girl?" she asked flat out.

I frowned. That was what the big argument was about?

"Well?" Ten asked.

I turned around and stomped toward my room.

"Ask teacher!" I yelled back, annoyed.

I slipped in and slammed the door behind me.
