She knocked on his door several times, but there seemed to be no answer. Lois was getting irritated. It was late and she had to go home. The only reason she was still in office was because she was working on a story about the newest villain in Metropolis – Ultraman.
But then the mail boy, Jimmy Olsen, had noticed her and asked her to deliver the package to their boss. Apprently, the billionaire had been waiting for that delivery for a long time and had lost his calm with the young employee plenty of times that day.
Out of pity, Lois agreed to do Jimmy this favor, but she was regretting it big time as she waited for their boss to open his office door. Why it was taking so long in the first place was anyone's guess.
The door suddenly opened, and Lois found herself staring at the most handsome face she had ever seen.
"Hey," Oliver Queen said with a charming smile, and Lois found herself blushing.
"Hi," she replied in a giddy voice, and held the package up to the shirtless Adonis.
"I've waiting for this packagae the whole day," Oliver exclaimed, looking excited, but then looked curiously down at her. Lois just smiled.
"So, you are the latest mail-room recruit?"
Nodding, as if in understanding, Oliver pulled out a hundred dollar bill from his pants' pocket and handed it to Lois.
"You know, with a face like yours, you can do so much better. Seriously, aim higher."
With a wink, Queen shut the door in Lois' face and she stood there like a dumb bimbo. It was only when she looked down at the money in her hands did her mind start working again...and her anger flared.
Narrowing her eyes, she began beating hard at the door in front of her.
Within moments, the door opened again, with a worried looking Oliver looking down at her, slightly annoyed.
"Hey, easy on the door. It's made of glass, you know."
That made Lois even more angry.
"You're asking me to be gentle to a door, when you don't have any knowledge as to how to show respect to a human?"
"I take it you're the human?" Oliver asked, eye-brows raised.
Gritting her teeth, Lois threw the crumpled bill in his face, before shouting angrily, "I am a reporter. I may work in the basement, but I've gradutaed with distinction from Met U and soon, the news that'll make waves around the world, will be by me."
With that, Lois turned around and started to stomp off, before she whilred around and walked back towards Queen again.
"And I don't like being considered as a...as a...as a loose woman."
This time, Lois did manage to get to the elevators and press the call button, before a hand warpped firmly around her exposed arms.
Lois turned around and was faced with glistening abs. Gulping, she slowly raised her eyes to the man whose touch was causing a tingling sensation up her spine.
Oliver was all apologetic-smiles as he looked at the hazel eyes.
"I'm so sorry, Miss...?"
"Lane. Lois Lane."
"Right, Miss Lane. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have made assumptions about you. I'm a terrible boss, not keeping track of employees and all. Once again, I'm so very very sorry. If there's anything I could do to make it up to you, I will, I swear."
He looked really repentant, so Lois decided to forgive him. After all, he was her boss and the Daily Planet employed hundreds of staff members. It was only normal that he wouldn't know who she was. Plus, who could stay mad at such a gorgeous face?
She gave him a slow smile, and nodded.
"Great, I'll pick you up tomorrow at seven."
With that, Oliver Queen walked away.
"Don't worry," he said over his back. "I'll get your address from the office database," and closed his office door behind him.
Clenching her jaw, Lois was about to kick at the elevator doors in anger, when it suddenly opened and she fell forwards into it.
She got up, limping, and noticed one of her stilettoes had broken. Lois made her way down in the elevator, cursing all beautiful men, especially one blond billionaire.
A/N: So, this little one shot is my imagination as to how Lollie met in the AU. Let's just assume Luthorcorp Media was called DP and Oliver owned it, before all hell broke lose ;).
