I sat on my bed looking at the video tape I had found at a garage sale. No name, but it was in the horror movie section, so I paid for it. Slipping the black rectangular piece of plastic in the VCR, I clicked on my TV.
It was a horrible, thing to watch it scared me. Right after I finished my phone rang, and said, 'Seven days' . Thinking it was a load of crap, I went to sleep.
I went to my friends two story, sky-blue, western styled house. I told her about the strange tape.
"What a rip off" She said swinging her tan legs back and forth from her desk chair. "You should go get your money back."
I nodded. "You are right, I'll go right now."
Hopping off her bed, I gave a quick hug then left, for the house. When I got there the lady I had bought the tape from grinned.
"Hello" She said happily. "Did you like the tape?"
"No" I said carefully. "It was a rip off, and I want my money back."
Grinning even wider, she replied. "That money will do you no good."
"What do you mean" I asked dumbfounded.
"You watched the tape now you are going to die in seven days."
"What?" My voice cracked.
"The only way to live is to get someone else to watch it." She said putting a hand on my shoulder.
"My husbands friend made him. My husband never told anyone, but me."
I nodded slowly, and started to think. I ran home, and dialed my friend, Sam's number. After explaining everything, she said I was stupid, and she would never watch the tape.
"Some friend" I muttered.
I tried everyone of my friends, but none believed me. Fear set in the pit of my stomach. I was going to die, and there was nothing I could do. I decided to make off the days left. I then started writing everything I felt and everything that happened in a journal.
Date, September 8, 2010.
I bought a tape from an old lady yesterday. After watching it, I was told I had seven days to live. None of my so called friends believe me. The lady's husband died, because of the tape. The only way to stop it is to have someone else watch the tape. Well I hope at least. I will look up some more on it tomorrow, but right now I am going to sleep.
I closed the journal, and changed in to a pair of basketball shorts, and a tank-top. Then I buried my slightly pale body, in covers. Closing my gray eyes, and moving some of my brown hair out of my face, I fell asleep.
