AvatarCat12: I got some good news, everyone! I finally got The Lost Adventures, so I'm able to continue this story! But as you can see, Katara and Holly are back yet from their vacation, so I'll still do this commentary until they come at the end of that chapter.
About the Lost Adventures: I got a good amount of laughs from there. Like the time when Katara and Toph dressed up as boys and Katara got too carried away. Or when Team Avatar played Hide And Seek (Zuko thought they were playing Hide And Shriek).
But you know what? I'll just skip this ahead and go on with the disclaimer.
Disclaimer: I do not, have never, and never will own Avatar: The Last AirBender or Warrior Cats. And I don't own The Lost Adventures.
Summary: While in town, Silverpaw sees two kits pranking kits way too much with pranks that involve water. So she decides to give a little payback to those kits.
Updating Date: January 7, 2012
Several scents filled Silverpaw's nostrils as she lifted her nose in the air. She and her friends were staying somewhere near a small town on their way to the northern WaterClan. The three Clan apprentices decided to spend time around town; Goldpaw went exploring while Ashpaw went training. Silverpaw, however, went hunting in town, due to seeing birds and other small animals around town.
Finally, Silverpaw spotted a shop where they sold chickens and turkeys, which she didn't mind eating now. Thanks to being away from WaterClan, her diet started to vary, as long as she got to eat real prey. She padded towards the merchant, a big tabby cat.
"Do you have any fish, sir?" Silverpaw asked him when she got near.
"I believe so. A few of our villagers came back with red salmon," the merchant replied.
Silverpaw felt her mouth water. Out of all the fish she had eaten, salmon was her favorite. She got back on track, meowing, "Yes, I'd like three salmon, please."
The merchant smiled back at her. "Coming right up!"
Happy with this deal, Silverpaw leaned back against the wall of the meat-place and gave a sigh. Wanting to pass the time, she bent her head down and began grooming her winter-thick silver pelt until it was shiny. She remembered Goldpaw tasting salmon from when she and Ashpaw first met him in their territory.
I hope he still likes salmon.
A smell of fresh salmon made Silverpaw turn to see the merchant laying a basket of fish on the counter. Silverpaw reached into her bag, fished out a few silver coins, and handed them over to the merchant. At first, she was tempted to eat her share, but she remembered the rules of the Warrior Code: her Clanmates had to be fed first.
But she had barely gone even a few mouse-lengths when she heard giggling. Silverpaw looked up to see two kits (one beige and the other blue tabby) looking down from a tall window down at the other cats.
"Shh. Watch this," the blue tabby whispered to the beige kit.
Silverpaw watched on as the blue tabby kit rolled a water balloon over to the window and looked down again. A brown tabby tomcat was passing through when the kits pushed the water balloon out the window together. The tabby tom let out a yowl of surprise when it landed on him, spitting with rage and confusion when his pelt got soaked.
That act made Silverpaw look up at them with a mixture of anger and shock. Furiously, she thought, Who the hell do those kits think they are?
"Excuse me," she mewed to the fish merchant. "Who were those kits who pelted that cat with water balloons?"
"Their names are a mystery to me," the merchant admitted, "but they're notorious for bombing cats with water balloons when they least expect it. If I were you, little one, I'd be careful."
Silverpaw dipped her head to the merchant in respect. "Thanks for the advice." She picked up the basket again and padded off.
When she was away from the shop, the WaterClan cat sat down on the spot and started thinking. The merchant said something about bombing other cats with water balloons when they least expect it. Trying hard to concentrate, she picked up the fish and padded back to camp with her friends, but she thought long and hard.
Snakes were notorious for striking out at a rodent without warning when they travel through a tree. The same went for a killer whale if it and its pod were sneaking up on a seal when it least expected it. If there was some way (just SOME way) she could catch those kits by surprise, they would stop their behavior.
And I think I know how.
The next morning, after explaining her plan to her friends, Silverpaw left camp and arrived at town. There, she began prowling around the town's streets and looked up to the roofs as a fair caution. If she didn't look up to see what was above her, she wouldn't expect another water balloon falling down on her, the new target.
So Silverpaw padded around the street she saw the pranksters, acting like an innocent passerby. Little scuffling noises from above told her that the kits were leaping from roof to roof, trying to get to her. Silverpaw allowed a small smirk to come across her face; they had no idea what they were going to get themselves into.
"There's another cat!" she heard one of this kits mew.
Just then, a small bomb dropped down at her, and Silverpaw could hear the water swishing about on the inside. And just before it hit her, the silver she-cat flicked her tail at it, Bending the water inside and sending it back up towards the kits. Scuffling noises told Silverpaw that they leaped away from the bomb in time, but that was all part of her plan.
To make them remember this lesson, Silverpaw flicked her tail towards a nearby barrel of water. She carefully made a sphere from it and sent it right up towards the kits, able to hear squealing sounds and splashing noises as the kits got soaked. Those kits looked down at her with shock and fear as their eyes widened at this sly master.
"That should show them," Silverpaw sighed to herself with relief.
All around her, the cats of the village began cheering for her. Despite not expecting this, the silver she-cat liked it when the praise warmed her fur like the sun. When asked how she had thought up something like that, Silverpaw began to laugh.
"Only a fool would challenge a WaterBender to a water fight!" she giggled.
But little did she know that Ashpaw was standing behind her, ready to soak her with a big red water balloon...
To be continued...
AvatarCat12: I hope everyone liked this chapter! Sorry if it's a bit short, but the real comic isn't really that long. But that was funny indeed.
Katara: I didn't after that. Sokka keeps saying I got onto him unfairly. But he soaked ME with that water balloon!
Holly: That reminds me of when we had a little dance in the rain.
AvatarCat12: You danced in the rain?
Holly: Genki and the others danced in the rain to cheer me up after I got upset over my past.
Katara: That's really sweet of Genki to cheer you up like that. And for now, I'll say the summary for the next episode called The Sniffles.
Preview: One cloudy morning, Goldpaw wakes up with a cold with a sneeze loud enough for enemies like FireClan to hear. Will he and his friends get away when one sneeze gets them in trouble?
And anyone who reviews this story will receive virtual Sour Gummy Worm candy canes. And they might also receive virtual moon pies thanks to Mardi Gras being somewhere around the corner. Flames will be sued to cook S'Mores as usual, but we might also burn the files of Edgar Ross from Red Dead Redemption.
AvatarCat12, Katara, and Holly: See ya next time!
