A/N: This is just another idea that I had that actually turned into something else as I began writing it! Sometimes that muse takes over, and there's no stopping her. haha
Better Than Lemon Drops
"You've had a rough day."
There was no questioning in Albus's voice as he watched his wife from her office doorway; he knew her all too well.
"Is it that obvious?" Minerva replied with an exhausted sigh.
He gave her a warming smile as he stepped into the room, noting the scattered parchment, open books, and empty ink pots littering her normally pristine desk area.
"Not at all," he said. "We both know you are quite skilled at keeping up a strong front, Minerva," here he stepped behind her and squeezed her shoulders gently, causing her to all but melt into his soothing touch, "but sometimes you should really learn to... relax."
Her eyes fluttered shut as he began massaging the taut muscles of her shoulders and upper back. She would surely fall asleep in his arms if she were not careful.
"You know, it might help if you wouldn't wear your lovely hair in such a tight, constraining bun," he added.
Minerva smirked. Even with her eyes closed, she could tell there was a sly grin on Albus's face; he was forever giving her some excuse as to why she should wear her hair down on occasion.
"Then who would take me seriously?" she asked in a soft voice, finding it difficult to form coherent thoughts as Albus continued his wonderful ministrations on her.
"At least give it a try," he suggested, leaning down to press his lips against the most sensitive spot on her neck.
Minerva nearly jolted out of her chair at the feel of his tender, heated lips on her bare flesh. She moaned quietly and yearningly leaned even further into his touch.
"Albus, if you continue this, I'll never meet the deadlines for all of this work."
"Forget about the work for now," he urged gently. "I'm sure the Headmaster can manage to get you a slight extension."
Minerva gave a throaty laugh.
"And why should I do such a thing?" she teased.
"Because I know of a wonderful fail-proof stress reliever that you too are sure to enjoy."
"Really?" she asked, opening an eye to peer up at him. "What might that be? A double dose of lemon drops and a pint of hot chocolate?"
"Hmm, as wonderful as thought sounds," he said, acting as if pausing to consider this for a moment, "I do have something else in mind. Something much better."
"Better than lemon drops and hot chocolate?" Minerva exclaimed. "Well, then do tell."
"Oh, I cannot simply tell you, my dear," he spoke huskily into her ear as he snaked his arms low around her waist, giving her no doubt as to where this would lead. "No, I must take all the time and effort to show you."
