to the next-gen family, because they deserve every story on here. i love each and every one of them, because they're family.
i'm sorry the story doesn't make sense, but rest assured it means i love you.
i hope the sun shines
and it's a beautiful day
and something reminds you
you wish you had stayed
;;
i keep up with our old friends
just to ask them how you are
;;
hope it's nice where you are
she misses them. she misses their laughs and their words and their smiles, but most of all, the fact that they don't know she does.
she's like a wall of glass, she thinks. for each person that leaves she break a little bit more, because there's a gaping hole where they used to be. she's seen goodbyes from the window of a car as it drives away, and offered shelter from the horrible thing they call agony. people can see her cracks, the little indents and bumps, the flaws and imperfections that make up her surface.
sure, maybe a new piece of glass is added for every new person to make their way into her heart, but it's when someone leaves that the biggest marks are made.
[you leap through the glass, shattering it, except for the little shards that cling to the edges, and forevermore there is a hole where the piece of her heart used to be.]
;;
[you hold up the piece of glass and attach it to the mis-matched structure in front of you. you're new here, but already you're adding to the collage that makes up her heart.]
she's like a wall of glass, she thinks. a new piece of glass is added for every person that somehow works their way into her heart. she's been the window of an aeroplane, welcoming people to the place the locals call family. she's completely transparent, so everyone can see just how much she loves them.
when people leave it's sad for everyone, but it's when people stay that makes you happy.
she loves them. she loves their laughs and their words and their smiles, but most of all, the fact that they know she does.
long live the mountains we moved
i had the time of my life
fighting dragons with you
;;
will you take a moment
promise me this-
that you'll stand by me f o r e v e r
but if god forbid
fate should step in
and force us into a goodbye-
if you have children someday
when they point to the pictures
please tell them my name
;;
long live the walls we crashed through
i had the time of my life
with you
