|Chapter 18: Everything that Was and Is|
-"It" can be spoken at any given time, depending on how much time you have to say "It"-
The falling rain
Can bring a change
I never knew how farther I could fall
I can hardly wait
Till I see you face to face
I can't believe our love remains the same
He sang in the studio. Strummed his guitar lovingly. Sang with his powerful baritone. Nnoitra was behind him, banging on his drums. Stark softly plucked his bass strings. Halibel, using her long fingernails to pound on her piano. Ulquiorra playing his electric guitar with zealous charge.
Now I live with you
After all that I've been through
I just can't live without the grace you gave to me
Now I see what you see
Your beautiful life forever in me
The song was nearing its end, and Grimmjow was singing and strumming with his all. He was watching on the sidelines; watching with those cinnamon eyes. When he had suggested the song to his band members, they were awestruck by the melody and words.
Grimm, what the fuck? Romance?
This is extraordinarily new.
Jeagerjaques, are you running a fever?
I think this is something the publicity will follow for years. Well, done, Grimmjow.
I just want to get this over with and get some sleep.
So, the song had been put into motion. Gin hadn't vetoed it yet, but that was because he hadn't heard it. After getting his thumbs up on it, he said he wanted the song to be released immediately on the website. But, of course, before he went ahead to do it, he wanted Ichigo to see them record it and hear it before anyone else. Since Syazel wasn't backing the vocals in the song, he was manning the effects, and watching the goings-on in the recording room. Ichigo had been behind him, watching diligently.
Here I am
Forever with you
The song had faded out with soft strings, and Grimmjow had basically toppled out of the studio to gaze into Ichigo's eyes for his approval. His opinion had mattered most out of any to him, and now, this was the big finale. "What… did you think, Ichi?" he asked reluctantly; sweat formed in his palms from his nervousness. When Ichigo had spun his head around, and covered his face, Grimmjow knew he hit jackpot.
"It was… for me?" the boy asked sheepishly, his back still turned from him. Grimmjow chuckled. Wrapped his arms around the blushing Strawberry.
"All for you," he husked into the reddened boy's ear.
"Ugh, get a room." Bam! Nnoitra closed the door behind him with force. Grimmjow and Ichigo raised their eyebrows. Syazel was smirking. Stark was snoring. Ulquiorra and Gin had left without another word. Halibel was nowhere to be found. The same thoughts roamed their heads: was Nnoitra pissed more than usual?
"Um, want to get something to eat?"
The two had eaten their dinner at Orihime's place, enjoying the apricot-stranded woman's company, but soon after left, wanting the night for themselves. They knew what was coming the next day, but they chose not to speak of it. All they wanted was to spend their last remaining moments without a worry in the world. They held hands, traipsing along the park, the moon showcasing them in her glow. The park was practically empty, and devoid of any human beings, leaving them in aloneness.
"Ichi?" His boyfriend cocked his head towards him. Gazed.
"Are you happy… with me?" Grimmjow asked with hesitance. Stared at the lake instead. Tightened his grip around those warm fingers against his cold ones.
"Why would you ask that?" Ichigo questioned with a laugh to his voice.
"Just answer it…"
"Of course I am, baka. Why do you think I'm smiling so much and anticipating each day now?" Anticipating each day…Grimmjow felt a tug at his heart, though it wasn't the good kind. He knew the question had to be dealt with, and no more fooling around was going to be tolerated tonight. Especially not tonight.
"Ichigo…" He halted in his tracks, stopping the Orange's as well. "You know what's going to happen tomorrow… Are you anticipating that?" he seethed, glancing at his feet and nowhere else. He was growing angry, and he knew it. He knew life in fame was going to be a hard path, especially when you wanted to have a life in romance. He was a professional. He knew that. But, he just couldn't seem to shake off this feeling. This feeling of dread. Of anger. Of misery. "How can you be so sunny and smiley when you know you're going to have to leave me again? I don't know if I can take you walking away from me a second time…"
"Grimm, don't talk like that-"
"No! You know that it's true! Everything has changed because of you! The way I speak, the way I do things, the way I see things, the way I feel about things! Now, they're revolving around you, and I-"
"What do you want me to do about it, Grimmjow?" Ichigo interrupted, but something about it terrified him. Ichigo sounded tired. Hard. Empty. "You want me to just up and leave Seireitei's Soul Reapers in a snap of a finger? Just for you? Well, everything is not always about you."
"Everything is turning out to be for you," Grimmjow interfered, his fists clenching. His jaw tightened. "Are you forgetting that I was the one left behind? When it came the time to choose which side you should've taken, you chose Rukia! You're still in love with her! I can just tell!"
"What the hell are you talking about! You had everything cut out for you, ever since the beginning, Grimmjow! You had Kaien! I didn't have Rukia! You could've just worked things out with him, but you chose everything to be about you! And you know another thing that's wrong with you? You don't think anyone can ever love you, but you see me right here, fucking love you with everything I've got, trying to make this work, but you're just pushing me away! I fucking love you, you bastard!" Patter. Patter. Patter.
It was cold. Everything was shrouded in fog… the rain. "I say it to you with so much conviction, and so much certainty, but could you ever do the same for me? I've loved you for four years straight, and what have you said? Where were you when I needed that sense of comfort? Where were you when I was about to leave, and I was begging for you to let me stay? Where were you when all I wanted was for you to say you loved me too!" Ichigo punched his chest. Dozens and dozens. Dozens and dozens.
Tears clashing with the rain. Pain melding in the mud and grass. He hiccupped. Kept a firm grip on that navy blue shirt, the other tending to his leaking eye. "Where were you?" Steps. Angry footsteps. The rain was still pouring. And he was still walking. But, Grimmjow was still standing.
"Is everything packed?" Hitsugaya asked, ruffling at his white strands.
"Yup, everything is set and ready to go!" Matsumoto cheered, slumping into a chair with a relieved sigh. Byakuya was sitting at the table. Crossed arms. Fixed scowl.
"Is everyone here?"
"Hmm, I think Renji's still saying goodbye to Shuheii." Matsumoto placed her finger on her chin in wonder, the bus's rumbling beginning to take place. Hitsugaya looked out the window, and saw the two men hugging each other, and once they let go, Shuheii pulled Renji towards him and placed a lasting kiss on his lips. The red-head blushed at the contact, but smiled. Made his way to the bus with a final wave. He slouched against a couch with relief, never looking back out the window again. "I thought you weren't into guys." Matsumoto flipped a strawberry-blonde strand behind her.
"Well, you thought right… I don't like other men… It's just him." Renji shrugged, as Matsumoto squealed from the sweet comment. Hitsugaya rolled his eyes.
"So, is that everyone now?" Hitsugaya quizzed exasperatedly.
"Hmm, where's Ichigo?" Renji searched futilely for the younger male. Nowhere to be found.
"Come to think of it, Grimmjow hadn't come back home with him. Do you think something may have happened?" Matsumoto wondered, worry etching her features.
"He did look down last night," Renji agreed, standing to his haunches. He walked towards the back of the bus, and opened it. His eyes widened at the sight. His best friend was on a bed, leaning against the wall, with his arms wrapped around his hunched knees. He was staring out of the window. "Ichi, what's up with you? Aren't you going to say goodbye to Grimmjow?"
"Maybe it's better this way."
Grimmjow stroked his guitar. Was this happening again? He sighed, inclining his head against the wall. Ichigo's tour bus was leaving in a matter of minutes, and he knew he shouldn't be spending his time pondering over the ordeal, but he didn't know how to face the berry-head. Where were you? The words had kept invading his mind the whole night, and he just couldn't seem to shake it off no matter how many times he tried. It was too loud. Too persistent.
"Just go." He whipped his head around.
"I know you want to go see him, and I'm sure you want to redeem yourself. He's probably knocked some sense into you, so why stand around and prove him right?" Ulquiorra patted his shoulder, shocking Grimmjow out of his mind. He was trying to comfort him?
"W-wait, how'd you know that!" Grimmjow stood to his feet; scratched his head in frustration. Ulquiorra just gazed back with his apathy. Left the room without another word. Grimmjow stood there. Motionless. Where were you? And with that, his feet moved and he was racing.
"Your plan worked, Gin. How'd you know it would?" Nnoitra stashed twenty bucks into the fox's hand, as he grinned slyly.
"Grimmjow just needs a little nudge, though he tries to hide it. If someone else catches on to his feelings, he's bound to be brought back to reality, and realize what he's supposed to do next. Hearing comforting words from Care Bear-"
"Don't call me that."
"Made him over-think his actions, 'cause if even Ulquiorra could see how depressed he was, that'd mean he wasn't hiding his emotions well. He's just a naïve child," Gin clarified, counting through the money he gathered from his colleagues.
"But, wait, how'd you know what they talked about last night?" Stark asked, rubbing his ear. Gin smirked. Eyes wide. Everyone was frozen in place.
"A man has his ways." After that, nobody questioned his methods.
"What's better this way?" Renji parroted, clearly confused. Ichigo sighed. Looked down at his feet hidden beneath two blankets.
"If… I never say goodbye to him… Maybe we'd never have to say hello again." Ichigo steered his attention onto the window once again. Saw bluish-black hair, knowing exactly who was still lurking outside the bus. "How could you leave Shuheii?" Ichigo asked out loud, though he hadn't meant to. But, now it was out in the open, and he couldn't re-do it. Renji sighed. Scratched at his hair.
"Are you that retarded? I'm not crying because I know I'm going to see him again." Ichigo's heart beat quickened from the words. "Relationships are hard no matter what, and no matter how much you'd like to see him every day, it's impossible even if you try. You could live in the same house. You could even live in the same city, but you can't always stick to him like glue. You just have to work at it. I promised Shuheii that I would see him again, and that's a promise I'm willing to keep. It's what makes your moments together so much sweeter." Ichigo stared in awe. Mouth agape. "What?"
"I can't believe I'm getting lectured by you." Ichigo shook his head in mock disappointment, as he grabbed his bathrobe, and surrounded himself with it. Strapped the belt around his hips. Step. Step. Step. Step. Renji hadn't bothered to stop him. Finally. I see the old Ichigo.
Grimmjow ran through the throngs of the crowd. Your dial is not in service at the moment. Please call again. Grimmjow cursed under his breath, trying to contact Ichigo, but it seemed the orange-head was ignoring him. Even though the people were staring after him like he was a mad-man, either because of his hair or because of his stardom, he didn't care. He finally figured out what Ichigo meant. He wasn't willing to let him go this time. Not this time. He quickened his legs.
Your dial is not in service at the moment. Please call again.
Ichigo knew where he was heading to, and that was to the studio. He knew the band would be there, recording the new song Grimmjow made. That was, if Grimmjow was still releasing it. He felt his heart drop at the thought, but tried to discard it as he focused on the path before him. People were watching him like he was a freak of nature born from the ground, but he just pulled a middle finger in his head and moved along. He knew what Grimmjow had given him, and the man had given him happiness. Freedom. Determination. The attributes he didn't have before. And he just wanted everything back. Back to where Grimmjow was his entire world. Where he wrote songs for the burly man because he was forced.
Where Syazel would ask embarrassing questions. Where Ulquiorra and Gin would creep him out. Where Stark would snore in his ear 24/7. Where Nnoitra busied himself by calling him a faggot. Where Halibel ignored him like he was the germ underneath her shoe. All of the bad things to make life so much sweeter. He hurried his feet, knowing that he was nearing the agency. Feeling it in his bones!
Your dial is not in service at the moment. Please call again. He needed to be quicker than this. But, the crowds seemed to be surrounding a scene somewhere up north, and he didn't know where to go unless it was around it. It wasn't like he could rush outside the people's lines anyway. It was too crowded. "Oh my god! He's bleeding!" He heard from a nearby woman. He saw flashing blue and red lights, and he was sure paramedics had arrived. He craned his neck to see through what the havoc was, and the sight before him flooded his eyes with a pang in his heart. "The truck had just suddenly arrived. I hope that man is going to be okay." No…
He hoped to God it wasn't who he thought it was. But when he came closer, and as the crew hoisted a man in a gurney and tucked a blanket over the head… That head with orange spikes… he pushed through the people, but as he reached out for the man he loved, policemen held him back, and he couldn't push through. "LET ME GO! ICHIGO!" Grimmjow screamed, trying to shovel through the growing men.
"Sir, please, calm yourself!" a nurse tried to persuade him with her angelic voice. But the only voice that could calm him now was Ichigo. His Ichigo. But, seeing how he wasn't going to quiet himself, the nurse motioned for the vehicle to move. The sirens blared, as a pathway was broken for the ambulance to drive through.
"ICHIGO!" he shouted with finality, but the moving transporter was long gone, and the police weren't barricading him any further. He fell to the ground on his knees, no longer feeling the blood in his veins flowing. No longer feeling his heart having any rhythm. Only but the tears swelling in his eyes to flow to the streets where the claret of his beloved still stained it. He sobbed in his hands, knowing that the people around him were watching him break down right in front of them. "I loved you so much… Ichigo…" he sniffed, as his shoulders shook from the words he should've spoken a long time ago. If only he could hear that beautiful voice one last time… One more time… Grimmjow…
Step. Step. Step. "Grimmjow? Grimmjow, are you okay? Are you hurt?" He felt arms surround his figure, but he hadn't reacted one bit. Only stood frozen in his spot, tears still flowing hot on his cheeks. "Oh, god, what's happening to you? You're a huge mess!" Vanilla… He smelled it. So familiar. He traced his eyes over the familiar neck. The familiar jaw line. The familiar orange hair. The familiar…
"Yes, Grimmjow, are you all right!" the boy asked in a flurry, soothing his scalp with his fingers. "Why are you crying so much? What happened? Oh, god, that man got hit so fast, but all I heard were the tires screeching."
"A-are you still here?" Grimmjow hiccupped, caressing his cheek. Outlining every angularity. Staring into those honey-nut eyes he could never live without.
"Yes, I'm still here. Oh, come on, your knees are going to be dirty. Let's go back to the agency to get you cleaned up." As the orangette stood to lead the other man to his feet, he was tugged back into a strong pair of arms. "Grimm?"
"I love you… so much. I finally realized everything. I was so frustrated last night because you're all that I could ever think of, all that I could ever feel, and all that I could ever have. I was so confused, having these feelings that were so foreign to me. I didn't know how to react, and that was until the moment that I figured out that you are absolutely everything to me." The orange-haired male's eyes were stinging, held immobile in those arms. He shakily traced his arms around the man's waist, burying his face in that neck. "You're everything to me, Ichigo."
"… I hate you." Ichigo grumped, his voice tiny and hiccupping.
"But I will always love you."
|A Few Months Later|
"Grimmjow? What is it? You know I hate surprises!" Ichigo held onto those fingertips, afraid to let them go for fear on tripping on any small thing. A blindfold obstructed his view of the world as of the moment, and he knew exactly what Grimmjow was up to.
"No, no! Just wait!" Grimmjow joked, as he flipped some switches on beside him, the room lighting up before him. "Okay, we're here." Grimmjow quickly untied the sash around Ichigo's eyes, the room breaking into confetti and music.
"SURPRISE!" everyone screamed out. Ichigo laughed at his friend's attempt on astonishing him on his birthday, the act so overrated. He smiled at the decorations, balloons scattered throughout the floor. Orange and blue. Tables with white cloths stashed over the surfaces, fruits in baskets placed in the middle. The scent of differing foods wafted in his nose, as he sniffed it all in. He spun around on his heel, trying to drink in all the sight before him, when-
"Happy birthday!" Renji shouted, as white overtook Ichigo's vision, and he felt wetness splash his face, sweetness entering his mouth. His mouth was left wide and open, as he stared murderously at his best friend. Hands fisted.
"Renji! What the fuck!" Cake icing enveloped his face, as he turned to his best friend who was hooting with joy. He tried to wipe the cake off of his face as much as he could, but it was only causing him to look like more of a monster than helping.
"We wanted to spice the surprise up more. Orihime made the cake, too. So thank her for it!" Ichigo paled at the information, knowing Orihime's cooking was the worst, but he was glad that the icing was at least hiding the whiteness he had turned.
"Happy birthday, birthday boy!" Click! A camera flash hit his eyes, as he winced from the brightness. Matsumoto blew a kiss at him, as he attempted to grab for the silly thing.
"Matsumoto! You better not put that on Facebook," he warned, a wagging finger at the buxom woman.
"No promises," she giggled, while Orihime blushed from the rude act.
"Sorry, Kurosaki-kun," she apologized on behalf of everyone else.
"Hey, it actually suits you. That make-up works well on you," Hitsugaya complimented, causing Ichigo to hiss more at the shorter male. Byakuya merely drank his tea, sitting on the sidelines. Shuheii handed him a paper towel, which he immediately swiped on his face. The icing had slightly hardened, but at least it wasn't that noticeable any more.
"Happy birthday, Onii-chan! Sorry we're late. Oyaji took forever to get dressed." Yuzu lent out a present to her older brother who took it from her hands, as he ducked from an impending kick to his head.
"ICHIGO!" His rambunctious father flew at high speed through the air, landing in a pile of food set out over the table. "My son, how come you dodged your papa!" Ichigo merely threw his shoe at the older male, which sailed through the air and bonked his bow-tied father on the noggin.
"You idiot! Who does a flying kick on his son's birthday?" Ichigo asked in disbelief, still trying to wipe icing off of his face.
"You should know by now that Oyaji would be the only exception," Karin scoffed, crossing her arms. Tapped her foot impatiently with a wagging head. Ichigo just smiled at that, finding the statement to be very true.
"ICHIGO! HAPPY BIRTH-" He swung his fist at a brunet who was planning to tackle him to the ground. "Ichigo! How could you do that!" Keigo asked in agony, trying to rotate the tip of his nose.
"You're lucky I didn't break it." Ichigo rolled his eyes.
"Happy birthday, Ichigo." A blue-haired male lent him a small, wrapped box with a bow, a small grin on his lips.
"Oh, thanks, Mizuiro." He accepted the gift, joining it with the others beside him in a pile.
"Kurosaki." The orangette turned on his heel to gaze at a familiar someone, and scowled.
"I told you to call me Ichigo, Uryuu."
"And I told you to call me Ishida." The navy blue-haired young adult pushed at his glasses, as Orihime locked arms with him.
"Come on, Uryuu-kun, don't be mean to Kurosaki-kun. It's his day," she reminded, as he sighed, and wrapped his fingers around a present the size Mizuiro had given him. "Happy birthday, Kurosaki-kun." Ichigo beamed at the gift, and knowing that it would annoy his long time best friend, he enveloped the couple in his arms, as Ishida tried to pry him off.
"Oh, you guys are the best!" Ichigo released them from his death grip, Ishida immediately patting off and swiping any small grime he could find from Ichigo's embrace. The amber-eyed boy merely rolled his eyes, about to continue on his trek around the hall, when a pair of dark-skinned arms surrounded him.
"Happy birthday, Ichi!" a familiar, husky tone spoke in his ear, as he tried to escape the tight grasp on him.
"Y-Yoruichi! T-thank you, but I… can't… breathe…" When she had realized what she had been doing, she instantaneously let him go, him flopping to the floor.
"Oh, sorry. You know that I'm a hugger." She smiled with those golden orbs, as Halibel nodded her acknowledgement to him.
"Yeah, unfortunately." He slowly stood to his feet, his abdomen hurting from the sides. After teasing and poking fun at him, the couple went on to converse with the other party participants, while Ichigo took the moment to breathe. But, that wasn't meant to be.
"Ichigo! Happy birthday!" How many glomps was he going to receive today? He patted his friend's back, as he chuckled nervously.
"Ah, o-okay, Shinji. N-Nnoitra's giving me the death glare again…" The raven-haired male was watching him with a murderer's glint.
"Oh, let him sulk. It's not like we're together or anything." Shinji held him at arm's length, analyzing his best friend. "Hey, have you gotten muscular?" Ichigo rolled his eyes, knowing he was trying to change the subject. Why didn't the two just go out, already?
"Shinji, Nnoitra's coming this way," Ichigo pointed out, as the blonde spun around and was about to tell the Stick off when his arm was gripped on tautly and he was hauled off to a nearby men's bathroom. Shinji yelled protests and shouted profanity, but of course the taller man wasn't listening. Ichigo found the sight hysterical, as he chuckled to himself and carried on.
"Happy birthday, Kurosaki." He cringed from the monotonous tone, as he whirled around to be met with the fox face and a green-eyed musician.
"Oh, thanks, Ulquiorra."
"I'm sorry that I brought nothing. I wasn't informed of this till today."
"Hey, no worries. I'm just glad that you're here."
"If Gin wasn't so busy fooling around, maybe I could've bought you." The shorter male shot a glare at the silver-haired man who shrank in fear. Ulquiorra began to step towards him, as Gin backed away with hands raised, spouting excuses left and right. Ichigo smiled at the odd pairing, and hoped to dear God-
"Happy birthday, Kurosaki." From the pinkness he saw at the corners of his eyes, he could tell that this person wasn't Ulquiorra coming back to say the greeting again. Scientist and the Lethargic Prince.
"Oh, thank you, Syazel." Stark had an arm around his shoulders, his eyelids looking as if ready to droop any second, but Ichigo had been around it for a while to know otherwise.
"We didn't bring you a present, but hopefully the song will make up for it." Syazel grinned, but when he saw Ichigo stiffen at the information, his eyes widened.
"What song?" Ichigo asked suspiciously.
Syazel tapped on his chin, surely trying to think of an excuse, but before he could voice it out, a strong baritone broke through the reverie. "Just look up there in four minutes, and you'll see what we're talking about." And with that, the brunet led his boyfriend off with him, Ichigo staring on with bewilderment. Song? Now that he thought about it, he hadn't seen Grimmjow. He began to search for the burly man: under the tables, in the bathroom stalls (where a heated conversation between pianos was taking place), in the kitchen, but no sign of his blue-eyed lover.
And then, he heard the clearing of a throat. "Ah, hey, everyone. Let's just all take a moment, and say one more happy birthday to our wonderful Strawberry, Ichigo." And that's just what his friends and family did. Grimmjow was on a stage, the curtain finally pulled back. "Okay, um, I just want to say a little something about him, if you guys don't mind…" Nods and approvals were muttered, as he cleared his throat once more. "Uh, well, what can I say? Ichigo is the best thing that's ever happened to me… He taught me that the most important thing about living life is the path to following your dreams and having the will to strive for it… Me, I thought I was already working hard enough for it, and maybe that's why I let a lot of friends go." Kaien. Shirosaki. Menoly. Tousen.
"Another reason I thought this was because… I thought I had already reached my dream. I thought that I knew what it was." He shifted to his other foot, staring at the guitar strapped around his shoulder. "Well, with Ichigo, he made me realize what it was that I really wanted. What I really needed. And today, if the old me saw who I am right now, he'd be surprised at what kind of person I've turned out to be. He'd be even more surprised at the fact that my dream had become to be about living with this certain Strawberry, and trying to keep him by my side. So, to show my appreciation towards this Strawberry, I've commemorated yet another song towards him. A song that is so different from Grimmjow Jeagerjaques, that you'd think I was possessed right now. But, I assure you, I'm not." His family and friends laughed at the reassurance. "I'm saying how I truly feel. Ichigo…"
He had turned his attention to the awestruck boy, his eyes wide with beguilement and incoming tears, hands covering his mouth. "You're my dream."
I've tried not to let anyone in until now
I guess conversations never allow
And I've been feeling like I'm on some sort of merry-go-round
And I know, I know, yeah, I know, I know, and…
The music was completely different of that of his boyfriend's, and he wasn't going to deny that he was shocked… but immensely happy.
I've tried not let anyone in until now
It took time for me to figure it out
And when I feel like I'm complacent with my head in the clouds
I know, I know, yeah, I know, I know
Tears were free-falling from his eyes, and he couldn't stop them even if he wanted to. He was laughing with glee, the tears complimenting how much the song was bowling him over.
And every time I wonder what's real, you make feel
You make me feel like a lavender sweater
When I'm caught in bad weather
In my Volkswagen Jetta
You make me feel like a complete work of art
When I'm just falling apart
A really nice piece of art
He was listening to Nnoitra's drums. To Ulquiorra's electric guitar. To Halibel's picking-up rhythm of strings. To Syazel's repeating of, "Art, art, art…" in the background. Watching Stark bop his head to the song. And listening to Grimmjow and watching Grimmjow, and loving every part that had to do with Grimmjow's singing, his guitar playing, his beautiful face, and his eyes that were staring back… Everything.
It's kind of warped, but it's picking up slowly
I don't know, but I can if you show me
I guess sometimes it takes more than just fake conversations to feel like I know that
It's kinda hard when I'm planning for something
To get across this hole without jumping
I guess sometimes it takes more than just false information
To find out who we are
The song was playing along, and Ichigo wasn't sure he wanted it to end. It was meant for him, and he wasn't sure how he could handle the information. His heart was beating quickly, his breathing shallow and full of interrupting hiccups. His eyes swollen, and probably red. When the song had abruptly ended, he ran up the stairs onto the stage and flung himself at Grimmjow who chuckled at the tackle. "I love you. I love you so much." Ichigo gripped around his neck, while Grimmjow laughed. His friends and family crowded around the spectacle, as Ichigo leaned back and crashed his lips in a chaste kiss with the older male. When the kiss was broken apart, Grimmjow just smiled and massaged his back.
"I love you, too." Ichigo's heart flew at the reciprocation, as he stared back. Amber eyes to cerulean.
"Say cheese!" Matsumoto pressed a button on a camera, as she rushed to get a spot in the photo. Both bands and its members, along with Ichigo's friends and family crowded around them. Silly faces, serious faces, and smiling faces. The two hadn't even realized the increase of bodies around them, as the flash overtook their senses, and all Grimmjow could think about was perfect.
Everything was perfect.
The end! I guess it was A-okay, haha, but other than that, I'm glad I got it here for you guys soon enough! XD I am so happy to have stuck along with this story. I still apologize for the cheesy ending, but hey, it's a romance, so it's going to have cheese no matter what :P
