Author's Notes: Written for behind these ocean eyes' 48 Hours Challenge – in which a story must be completed within 48 hours of being assigned.

This is the closest I've yet come to slash… just a light little drabble. Enjoy. Rated T for non-explicit sex-related themes.

Good God, Lucius Malfoy thought, looking around with a slight sneer, the Blacks throw a lot of parties.

Ever since that disaster when that Andromeda Black girl had run off with some Mudblood a few years back, it seemed to Lucius – and to the rest of Pureblood high society – that the Blacks were trying their very best to prove that they were not at all concerned about her by throwing a constant stream of parties. Which would not have bothered Lucius, except that he had to go to every damn one of them. And, much as he loved parties, the attraction was starting to wear thin.

Oh damn, Narcissa was heading over towards him.

Lucius ducked behind a small knot of people, trying to hide from Narcissa, who had done very little at any of these parties but flirt with Lucius. The last thing he wanted was to spend another excruciating three hours having to pretend to be interested in whatever she was saying. He pushed through several little groups, offering hurried apologies, and managed to get out the ballroom doors, into the cramped little coatroom. He slammed the door behind him, and leaned against it, panting.

"Party got a bit intense, did it, Malfoy?"

Lucius jumped. Sitting against the wall of the coatroom, knees drawn up to chest and nose stuck in a book, was Regulus Black.

"Your bloody cousin's been trying to assault me," Lucius said, sliding down the door to sit next to Regulus.

"Bella? Didn't know she was interested in you."

"No, the blonde one. Narcissa."

"Cissy's trying to assault you?" Rabastan couldn't help but snicker. "How can Narcissa possibly assault you? She's a twig."

"She won't stop hanging around me."

"That's hardly assault."

"Know-it-all." Lucius smacked the younger boy lightly. "What are you reading, then?"

Regulus's face went quite pink. "Oh, um… just… well, the girls were all reading it so I thought I'd have a go…"

Lucius plucked the books from his hands and turned it so he could see the cover. He stifled a laugh. "Romance novels, Reg? Really?"

"Oh, shut it. It means I understand what the girls are talking about. Besides, it's not so bad. Sort of…" He cleared his throat and blushed. "Sort of sexy, almost, at some points…"

"Really?" Lucius's curiosity was piqued. "And girls are allowed to read these? We boys have to hide our magazines, but it's perfectly acceptable for girls to walk around with romance novels? How unfair… let's see, then."

He leaned over Regulus's shoulder while he thumbed through the book, opening to a page with the corner folded down. "Here, read this."

The party was utterly forgotten, as the boys read through each and every sex scene – all carefully marked by folded down pages by Regulus. By the third or fourth scene – Lucius had lost track – he was feeling uncomfortably warm, and having Regulus by him didn't help matters much.

Regulus put down the book and turned to him, grinning mischievously.

"It's good, isn't it?" he asked.

Lucius swallowed hard, trying to calm himself down. His cheeks were flushed, and he took several deep gulps of air before he thought he would be able to speak.

"Yes," he said slightly shakily. "Very, very good…"
