"There were a lot of things I wanted to do. I wanted to become a teacher, and an astronaut, and a baker... I wanted to go to a bunch of different donut shops and ask for one of everything! And I wanted to tell the ice-cream man to give me one of everything, too! I wish I could have five different lives! Then I could have been born in five different towns, and eaten five lifetime's worth of food, and had five different careers, and... Fallen in love with the same person, five times."-Orihime.

Yes, he's there, standing there looking sincere. He always looks sincere and this is what she loved about him. The very fact that; his eyes always show intensity and shine with a light that makes you think that you are looking into his very soul. He's never deceitful or two faced and Orihime was sure that; he never told a lie.

Ever since she met him, she knew. She knew full well that he was one of a kind. Even before she got to know him, and even before she learned that he was in fact one of a kind, she just knew it. And now she knows who he really is.

He's a shinigami, a hero. He's a man who'd do anything to save a friend. Maybe he is kinda constantly grumpy and forever whining about stuff, but who cares. He is charming and protective, he's handsome and driven, he is funny and loving, and he's Ichigo, the only man she ever saw. The man who gave her strength just by being there, the guy who inspired her to be strong and to conquer the pain that once threatened to swallow her whole. He's Ichigo.

People told her she was insane for liking him, for caring. Some people even think she's an obsessed little stacker. But she's not; she knows that she's not. She loves him, but she'll never deny him happiness, even if his happiness was in being with another woman.

She knows that; he and Rukia are close. They converse for hours on end and they laugh ever so companionably. Orihime never had that with Ichigo. She never had the courage to do that. She always admired him from afar, wishing that he might notice her one day, hoping that he would at some point understand how much she cares for him and how much she's willing to sacrifice just to be with him.

But she isn't blind; she knows he has a bond that's far stronger than that of love with the other girl. She saw it that day when he was devastated. That day; she tried her best to cheer him up, she would have done anything to see him smile. But, despite her heartfelt attempts, she couldn't get through to him.

But Rukia just knew how to do it. Without even thinking or having to try, she knocked him right out of his state of despair. She gave him hope and made him happy. And that's when Orihime knew that she'll one day have to step down and watch him love Rukia, and she vowed she'll wish him nothing but happiness when the moment comes.

If she had to lose everything, to change everything, to give up everything, she would. But to her; the only thing that would stay the same, the only thing that would survive everything; is her love for him.

Yet, she knows that; even though she'll choose him time and time again; she'll never be the one he chooses. But, as long as he was happy, she was too, and at least she has her entire life ahead of her, to meet great people and try delicious foods. She loved to try different flavors and experience different tastes, but the only taste that would make her smile; came whenever she moved her lips to utter his name.

"Kurosaki-Kun."
