First story I ever wrote for FanFiction, re-written. I hope it has improved a little.
''Missing someone and not being able to see them is the worst feeling ever.'' Nathanael Richmond
''Where is mommy?'' Michelle whined as she climbed into her fathers lap, holding onto his shirt tightly as if she was afraid that he would disappear as well.
''I don't know,'' Milo said as he swallowed away the lump that was forming in his throat. He didn't know what else to say. Andy was missing, it had been three days and the police still hadn't found her. He had no idea how to deal with trying to find Andy, helping Jesse and Lizzy and taking care of his and Andy's 3-year-old daughter Michelle.
He hadn't told Michelle what had happened and wasn't sure if he should or even how to tell her. For now it didn't matter though, because he had to get Michelle to bed. He had to keep things as normal as possible since he knew that was what Andy would want if she were there.
He carried the little girl up the stairs and walked into the baby pink bedroom. He laid her down on the bed and tugged her in.
''I want mommy to be here,'' the little girl cried. Milo wiped the tears off of Michelle's cheeks, while fighting against his own. He had to be strong for Michelle at that moment. The next day he would look for Andy, right now he had to focus on Michelle.
He leaned down and gave Michelle a kiss on her forehead and turned of the little lamp beside the bed.
Now hush little baby, don't you cry
Everything is going to be alright
Stiffen that upper lip up, little lady
I told you, daddy is here to hold you
Through the night
I know mommy's not here right now
and we don't know why
We feel how we feel inside
It may seem a little crazy, pretty baby
But I promise, Mama is going to be alright
He just didn't know if he could live up to that promise…
