JPOV

I walked into his office without even knocking and flopped down on the couch with him. Lucius ignored me as he read some trivial letter from one of the guards in Milan had sent him so I turned sideways and played my head in his lap. That got his attention. He looked up from the letter with a sigh, "Yes Jessica?"

"I'm bored" I answered as I rolled on my side and rested my head on his knee. He chuckled and shook his head before holding up his finger in the universal sign of "One second…" He went back to reading the letter.

I started feeling a little angry with him, because all he ever did now days was read reports and letters. The only time I really saw him was at bed and he was too tired to even say good night.

OH… Brilliant idea. I sat up and walked to the door and opened it a crack before locking the handle so I could get a head start. After that I ran over to Lucius and plucked the papers from his hand before bolting out of the office doors like the hounds of Hell were nipping at my heals. Thankfully I managed to shut the door behind as I went; sadly I was only at the end of the hall before he was free.

"Anastasia!" I looked back and saw him standing at his office door frowning.

"You want it?" He nodded, "Come and get it." With that I turned and bolted down another hall and then another. I didn't look back to see if he had followed me or not so as I turned another corned I looked… and no one was there.

I let out a huff just as my cell phone started ringing. "Hello" I answered without looking at the caller I.D.

"I'm not going to chase you Jessica. A) that's very unladylike to be running in the halls. B) I need that report."

"Come and get it" With this I hung up on him and walked to the library. I used the stairs to get to the very to section.

I nodded at Alin, Lucius's guard and was about to walk down a row of books when the letter suddenly disappeared from my hand. I turned and saw Alin had plucked it from my hand was now walking down the stairs. "Hey" I tried to snag it back but he just held it above his head and continued walking out of the library. I followed him and as soon as we reach the hallway Lucius's office was in I ran and hoped on his back.

Obviously I had caught him off guard because he tumbled to the floor long enough for me to scoop up the paper and bolt down the hall. Sadly my guard Dmitri walk out of my husband's office and snagged the paper before closing the door. "Traitor" I yelled at him. I heard the men inside laugh as I walked in the office.

Dmitri had just handed Lucius the paper and I reached for it. Unfortunately Alin had recovered and snagged my wrist for I could get it. "This is cheating" I told my husband but he just smiled and said all is fair in love and war.

Alin let me go as he and Dmitri left. "You knew I would run to the library"

His grin widened as he looked me in the eye before saying "Oh course. You are always in the library so I sent Alin out to get the paper… and to snag you a book."

With a confused look on my face I asked him why I needed a book. He patted the couch next to him so I grabbed the leather bound book on the arm of the couch and sat next to him. I opened the book and pulled my legs onto the sofa before I leaned into his side since his right arm was thrown over the back of the couch.

Lucius looked up at the touch before kissing my temple. We sat like this for a few minutes before I felt his arm wrap his hand around my shoulder to pull me closer. I tried to read, I really did but "Lucius?"

He looked up from his letter. "Hmm?"

"I'm still bored"
