We only have a few more chapters ahead of us! Maybe more... ^_^
Blah, blah, blah, don't sue me.
Sorry about the survivors but it was stupid, how did Frank expect to get all those people on one helicopter?
"Come on," I spoke, everybody looked at me. "We don't have to put up with this, we have to keep fighting.
"It's no use," Jessica's voice was so soft I could hardly hear her. "Their coming. We're going to die."
"No," Jamy stood up with me. "Mia, Brit, Brandon, Sean. You go and rescue more survivors if there's any more. Search the entire mall, if you come across those guys, either kill them or run. I'll go with you, Elle, Damien, you search for Frank and Isabella and help them with what needs doing."
"Let's kick ass," Brit agreed, grinning.
"Ditto," Mia looked at Brandon, he grinned.
"I third that statement."
"Time to nut up or shut up," Sean grinned, I rolled my eyes but mirrored everybody's looks.
I looked down at Damien's hand then took it, he looked up and I smiled at him. He smiled and squeezed my hand back.
"Victor's gone," I looked at the door, seeing Kathy standing there, a crying Rose standing next to her. "He said he had to save his own skin, that he didn't want to get taken by the military. The others tried to stop him but he killed them. Rose and I hid... there was nothing we could do."
"That bastard!" I growled, we all ran out the room. Seeing all the survivors dead on the floor. I closed my eyes, then snapped them back open. Seeing Jamy storming towards the vents. "Where are you going?"
"Victor killed them!" Jamy shouted, her voice filled with determination and rage. "They were innocent people! He has to pay!
"I agree," Brit spoke, following her. Sean, Brandon and Mia followed suit. Kathy and Rose also followed, just in case the military guys came. Jessie stayed put, telling me that she was infected to my shock. I gave her a pistol. Giving her a grim smile.
"Go," she whispered, tears filling her eyes as she stared at the pistol.
"Let's go," I grabbed Damien's hand, we jogged and caught up to them, climbing into the vents and crawling in. I heard gun shots echo and glanced back, the others gasped too.
"What was that?"
"The military," I said, it was obvious Jessie turned into a zombie before she could shoot herself. "They got Jessie."
"Bastards," Jamy spat.
"I'm starting to really hate the military," Brit said before we moved on.
When we got back into the mall, we heard gunfire and split up. Damien and I went to find Frank while Jamy and the others went to find Victor. I eventually pulled Damien into a private changing room so we could talk.
"Damien," I felt a lump in my throat. "In case we don't make it..."
"Hey," he hugged me. "Don't say that,"
"Don't be so naive and hopeful," I whispered. "Because I'll be damned if I didn't tell you how much I like you. We've known each other for two or three days, but yet... you're my first boyfriend and I feel so comfortable around you."
"Don't get sappy on me now," he pulled away, smiling down at me. "I've got something for you, it's not exactly romantic because some blood got on it but..."
He pulled out a black rose, there was blood on it but it was romantic for me. I thought it was pretty gothic but so awesome. I grinned at him, taking it and placing it in my backpack then kissed him. I was falling for this guy and hard.
"Come on, we should leave." I whispered. He nodded, following me.
"Take that bitch!"
"I know that voice..." I muttered, frowning.
"Oh, hey baby," I spun around, seeing Victor, grinning widely at me, he rose an eye brow at Damien, pointing out his arm and shooting a zombie in the head without even looking. "Who's the boy?"
"Boy?" Damien didn't like him by the tone he was using, I'm guessing.
"Yeah," Victor grinned at me. "Dump this loser my beautiful Elle, come with me and I'll show you what a real mans cock feels like."
"Bastard!" Damien took out his nail gun and shot him in the leg, Victor howl in pain, falling to his knees.
"What the fuck is wrong with you!" Victor growled out. "I just wanted a little pussy man!"
Damien looked at me for permission, I bet my face said it all, but for the sake of it, I stepped back and shrugged, glowering at Victor. "Go ahead."
I'm not gonna lie, seeing Damien beat up some loser for me, it was kind of a turn on. The blood and gore took that down for me but I still liked the fact that Damien was being a total badass. What could I say? I liked bad boys.
I was seriously fucked up.
I needed to get out of this hell hole and fast.
"Damien," I said, grabbing his arm to stop him from punching Victor again. "Just leave him, we have to move."
"Fine," Damien hesitated but let him go, not before glaring and spitting on him, we walked away.
"The spitting was a little much." I muttered, he shrugged.
"I wasn't going to let him speak about you like that," I smiled then blushed madly at an idea when I glanced at the changing rooms, I whispered something in his ear and he spluttered, looking shocked.
"I can't help it." I stammered, blushing madly as I looked up through my eye lashes shyly. "I'm afraid I'll never get the experience."
"And you want me to do that right now?" He stared at me in disbelief, making me regret my choice to tell him.
"Forget it then," I muttered, walking pass him, but he grabbed me wrist, I looked up and saw him grinning, causing me to blush even more.
"I wasn't objecting, just questioning your timing," I giggled nervously and he lead me towards the changing rooms.
That was the best choice of my life.
I stumbled out the changing rooms and smoothed my dress down the next morning, biting my lip as I struggled not to giggle at the mental images burned into my brain. I was blushing madly, glancing shyly at the smug Damien. I just my V-card. No kids these days kept it for marrage and I only knew Damien for a short couple of days.
I was anxious to give my V-card to him, because I had just met him two days ago. But I felt like I've known him so much longer than that. We got on so well and I didn't want to die a virgin. It was really painful at first and I didn't think it was the best choice to just hand it over so casually.
But boy was it worth it.
"Was It... satisfactory?" I asked anxiously, stuttering. He grinned widely.
I giggled, unable to help it. God I was so embarrassing.
Luckily no zombies or military interrupted us since everything was dead. Seriously everything was dead and laying on the floor. No zombies, no more deaths. I was so happy, it was the best day of my life.
And the worst.
But I didn't know what was going to happen.
"Come on," I grabbed Damien's hand, smiling widely. No more zombies, no more deaths. We were leaving today. "It's time to finally leave this hell hole,"
"Thank fuck for that," he grinned.
We got to the heli-pad when we couldn't find Frank, Jamy and the others were there. When they saw us they smiled as we walked hand in hand towards them. "You made it!" Rose yelled, smiling big just like the rest of us.
"Course we did!" Damien yelled back, happy as could be.
"I swear you two are glowing," Sean shook his head.
"We're leaving!" I squealed. "How can we not be happy? Everything's perfect!"
"Where is he?" Frank muttered after a couple of minutes, my heart rammed in my chest. Where was this helicopter?
"Please tell me he's still coming," Kathy whimpered.
"He better," I scowled, my happy mood going.
"Where the hell is it?"
"Wait! Look!" Brit pointed her hand at something in the sky.
"There it is!" Brandon jumped up and down while gesturing wildly towards it, I kissed Damien in the joy and squealed in excitement.
"Hey! Heeey! Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey!" We all jumped up and down, waving our arms, hope in our hearts as we all smiled, me included.
My smile soon dropped.
The helicopter wavered in the sky like it was losing control, then it fell, crashing down, we all ducked as the fire cloud puffed out near us. We all stood up, staring out with disbelieving, upset, hopeless eyes. I fell limply into Damien with the shock, my knees wobbling weakly. Rose cried into her brothers arms while Jamy, Brit, Brandon and Mia all stared in shock, Frank dropped to his knees in despair. I whispered: "No..."
When I heard zombies approaching I turned around and went into an upset rage, killing everything and seeing red, Isabella soon came and shot the zombies while Jamy, Brandon and the others killed the extras I missed.
Damien grabbed my forearms and I cried hysterically in his arms. "We almost made it!"
"We still will," he whispered into my ear then pulled away, still holding onto my shoulders though. His browns eyes were full of determination. "We will, I promise with my life I will get you out of here."
Frank collapsed suddenly, I gasped and pushed pass Damien. "Frank!"
"I-I don't know! He just collapsed!" I checked for a pulse. "He's still alive, Damien, Sean! Help me carry him!"
"Follow me!" Isabella lead us towards Carlito's old hide out, we dropped his body gently against a wall.
After a few hours of waiting, Frank finally woke, we explained what happened then it clicked in my head.
He was infected.
He started chuckling hysterically and nervously as Isabella started explaining how the time from zombification differs greatly from person to person.
"He's taking this well," I heard Jamy mutter sarcastically when he started going on a an angry rant, Isabella then started to talk about a...a cure. That of course he would have to keep taking it but then she went on a scientific rant.
"If we could extract and administer a large dose of of hormones from the corpus allatum of an adult queen..." she got her thinking face on while the rest of us just stared at her like 'huh?' and stood up. "It would potentially hinder the growth of the larvae in your blood, regarding the zombification process."
"I don't understand a word you just said," I said lamely, staring at her with a 'WTF?' look.
"I'll need certain supplies to get this to work," she turned to us. "And queens, as many as you can get your hands on."
"We should split up," I helped Frank up. "It would get this done quicker and we could get more queen bees."
"Jamy and I will go to the North Plaza," Brit said.
"I'll go with Elle to the Wonderland Plaza," Damien nodded, I held his hand.
"I guess that leaves us and the South Plaza," Mia smirked at Brandon, she reloaded her gun.
"That's that," Jamy began, reloading her guns and cleaning her bloody knives. "But we need to take caution and have more guns then melee weapons because knives and swords aren't really that good against guns. The military guys are probably still here and double checking for evidence of the outbreak."
"We still have the walkie-talkies right?" Brandon asked, frowning. "We should keep in communication."
"Good idea. But you have enough walkie-talkies to share between each pair." Isabella confirmed, bringing them over and handing them out, one person in each pair took one. "I'll get to work, hurry."
"Sounds like a plan, I'll get the supplies while you guys get the queens." Frank said, then wore a grim look. "It sure beats sitting around here waiting to die."
"Let's move!" I ordered, keeping my swords anyway just in case. You never know.
Hope you enjoyed! ^_^
