Blue-green cover, white lettering. Pages slightly furled as if through repeated use. 'Completely updated edition', the tagline boasted, 'Oxford School Atlas'.
A strange thing to find posted through your letter box, perhaps, but hardly remarkable on the surface.
On the inside of the front cover: a name, and a number. The name: Carl Powers. The number: 〥〦
