Title: What Makes You Different, Makes You Beautiful
Summary: A fluffy Kames drabble in which a single flaw makes James feel ugly and Kendall's there to prove him otherwise.
A/N: this is dedicated to hotdamncarlospena on Tumblr because she thought up the idea ("show verse where after Kendall gives it to James he feels ugly cause now he has a permanent scar so Kendall comforts him and tells him how beautiful he really is and kisses the scar and everything and ugh") and she let me write up a fic based on it :D hope you guys enjoy!
"James, will you stop pouting already!" Kendall sighed, wrapping an arm around his boyfriend's shoulders. James, stubborn as ever, crossed his arms across his chest and turned away from Kendall, and the blonde groaned. "Baby, I said I was sorry! I didn't mean to."
"It doesn't matter, it's not like it's going to go away." James grumbled, glancing down at his forearm where the scar Kendall had given him was. The boys were playing hockey in the apartment and Kendall checked him into the counter a little too hard, leaving a permanent scar on the boy's arm.
"James, it's not even that noticeable." Kendall tried to reason with him, even though the scar hadn't begun to fade yet.
"It is!" James insisted, glaring at Kendall. "Now I'm ugly and it's your fault."
Kendall rolled his eyes. "Baby, you are anything but ugly."
James stuck out his arm, showing off the scar and said, "I beg to differ." and with a huff of breath, James got up from the couch and went to go sulk in his bedroom.
Kendall groaned again, tilting his head back on the couch cushions. Why did James have to be so materialistic? One scar didn't alter his appearance the way he thought it did and it was clear to everyone expect for James.
Collecting his thoughts, the blonde boy got up from the couch and went after James. He entered their shared bedroom where James was laying facedown on his bed. Kendall took a seat next to him. "James," he started and the brunette turned his head towards him. "I'm really sorry for giving you the scar but trust me, you aren't ugly."
"I am so." James pouted.
"James," Kendall moaned, growing tired with James' stubbornness and pulled the boy up into a sitting position. "Now, just because you have that scar doesn't mean you're ugly. You are the most beautiful man to ever walk the face of the earth."
James couldn't fight the smile working its way onto his face. "You're just saying that." he said softly, still doubting Kendall somewhat.
Kendall smiled and gave him a kiss on the top of his head, his nose nuzzling James' soft hair. "You have beautiful hair," he started and brought his hand up to stroke James' cheek. "You have a beautiful face," he ran his hands down from James' shoulders to his chiseled abs. "You have a beautiful body," finally, Kendall reached for James' wrist and held up his arm with the scar on it, bringing it to his lips for a soft kiss. "And you have a beautiful scar." he told him confidently.
James was smiling so wide his cheeks started to hurt. "Thank you Kendall." he said and kissed the blonde boy on the lips. "I love you."
"I love you too." Kendall murmured back, a smile on his face.
A/N: wow this is short :| but nonetheless, I thought this was super cute and I hope you guys thought the same! :D
