Chapter 15- love and bloody knives
Yay welcome to the grand finale of Just like Johnny C. I must say I truly enjoyed writing this, even if no one's read it. Before I forget, Alice is one of my original characters that I created when I first read JTHM as a child. Alice however isn't in love with Johnny in the story I made, but in love with her neighbor who moved in next door to her. He goes on a date with her once, then she stalks him, want to know more I can post a short chapter of it on here. ONWARD TO THE BATLLE FIELD!
"Wha? Where the hell am I?" Devi asked herself once she awoke. There was a pounding at the back of her head, that hurt like hell. She tried to remember what was happening. "That little brat nearly killed me."
"Why is it you're crying what's wrong baby? What's the matter lover don't worry your little head,-oh! Goody you're awake." Alice said sweetly. She was smiling down at Devi as she was bound to a table by leather straps. "How was your sleep?"
"You are crazy! I knew it, I never should have lowered my guard you're living with Johnny C. for Christ sake!" Devi shouted, Alice frowned.
"Shut up, you're ruining this beautiful ceremony!" she shouted, Devi looked around at her surroundings, there were newspaper clippings about incidents in the town dating back who knew when, there were several pictures of Johnny, all with the words; love written all over them, the place looked like a shrine to Johnny C.
"Where the hell am I?" Devi asked, Alice crossed her arms.
"My love shrine to Johnny, soon you'll be a part of it, just like everything else!" she said out stretching her arms to show just how much there was.
"Now shut up and pay attention, I hate repeating myself." Alice growled.
"You have Johnny's heart locked up tight in your chains! So I'm gonna set Johnny free, then with you gone and Johnny's heart free to do what it wishes, he'll have no choice but to love me!" she said wicked happiness filling her eyes. Devi had to think of something quick if she wanted to get out of here alive. However Alice had her strapped down tight.
"Now how should I do this? It'd be way too boring to just kill you but if I drag it out to long you might get loose." Alice thought out loud. She then threw a knife at Devi just barely missing her, Devi let out a yelp. A grin formed on Alice's face.
"This would be fun." She said walking over to the circular table, and spinning it. Devi spun around not very fast but enough to make her dizzy. Then another knife was thrown, sinking into the wood an inch from Devi's side.
"Let me go!" Devi shouted. Alice stopped the spinning and frowned.
"Now you should know better than to think that would work. Simply demanding for something means you don't work for it." She said "And unless you work for it you don't understand the value of what it is."
"You're crazy! I don't even like Johnny C. He's insane just like you!" Devi shouted. Alice slashed her knife across Devi's face.
"You want crazy? I'll show you crazy!" she said, watching the blood drip down from the cut on Devi's face. She pulled out her blue blade, and grinned. "I'll use your blood to paint my Johnny shrine!"
"Where could she have taken Devi?" Johnny thought out loud as he ran down the streets. He had been running for what seemed like hours. He had to hurry up and figure out where she could be. She didn't know where anything was other than the school, his house, and her old job so where could she have gone to?
"You really think everything we told you was truth? Alice grew up here!" Dolly's voice rang in clearly through his mind, she sounded as crazy as the rest of them. "Alice has been watching you ever since she had the sickness!"
"Why not try that abandoned building on 7th street." Darcy said, apparently they both could enter his thoughts. Johnny stopped, 7th street? That's where the old theater was. He dashed toward 7th street, desperate to find Alice and Devi.
"It was I who put the gift at your door, I hope it was everything you're asking for, a bloody kitten head just for you, who loves cats as much as you do?" Alice sang, flicking on a lighter and heating up her blue knife, she had left Devi alone for the moment. So now she was waiting for the next bit of torture.
"That part of the song doesn't make sense." She said, Alice looked back.
"If I put a pair of Cat ears on your head would that make better sense?" She asked, Devi's face went pale with disgust, Alice went back to singing her song and heating her knife.
"I will burn in a flame, every trace of her name. I wonder if her life clock still ticks. 'I love you' it's cliché filthy words that you betray, I know it makes me feel, like I'd be sick!" she sang turning around and walking towards the bound Devi. The now red hot blade pointed toward her. "I'll make him see, force him to be…in love with me…" she moved closer the heat of the blade singeing the hair off Devi's bangs. "…Eternally~."
Just then the door to the abandoned building they were in burst open revealing a tall figure, both Devi and Alice looked over.
"Johnny?" Alice asked surprised to see him there. Devi was also surprised.
"Alice let her go. You can't do this." Johnny said. Alice smiled.
"Oh but I can, and I must; If she doesn't die you can never love me." Alice said sweetly the madness behind her eyes.
"If you touch her you'll regret it." Nny shouted pulling out his knife. Alice tilted her head and frowned.
"You can't kill me Nny-pon, I'm just like you, I love you." she said sweetly, Johnny slashing her cheek changed her tone. She backed away.
"Why are you trying to kill me? I'm trying to set you free, she deserves to die!" she screamed. Johnny's expression didn't change.
"What are you two crazy people talking about? Let me go!" Devi shouted, Johnny turned to her.
"Gimme one second, I'll get you out of here." He said. Alice screamed.
"No no no no! The only way I can let her go is if she's dead!" she said, "And I won't be afraid to hurt you to do it!" she shouted running after Johnny with the burning knife, she slashed at his side missing. Johnny slashed back getting her in the side, cutting her deep. She screamed, then threw a candle at him missing and knocking out Devi instead.
"You can't hurt Devi she means too much to me!" he shouted, Alice's face twisted.
"No! She's just manipulated by her! You can't love her!" She shouted holding her side, she ran after him with the intent to stab him in the leg, she did only to get stabbed in the shoulder. Johnny stood over her.
"You can't love her, she doesn't even like you. I love you!" she shouted, Johnny said nothing only stepped over her body to unlatch Devi. Once unlatched he picked up Devi's unconscious body and stepping over Alice again.
"You can't do this! I love you! NO!" Alice screamed. Johnny laid Devi on the ground carefully then went back to Alice and leaning her against the wall.
"If I catch you near Devi or anywhere in this town I'll kill you." he threatened pointing his knife. Alice began to cry.
"No, you're supposed to love me, not her, me." she sobbed, Johnny stood.
"If you want to live you'd better get to a hospital." He said walking over and picking up Devi who was still out cold. Alice screamed some more.
"You'd better kill me then! I won't stop until she's dead and you love me!" she shouted grinning evilly, Johnny shook his head. He wasn't going to give her the satisfaction of being murdered by him. He kept walking.
"What are you doing! Come back here and kill me!" She screamed as Nny walked away. Alice sobbed.
"I'm sorry Nny-pon, don't leave me!" she shouted innocently, Johnny didn't look back.
"I'll get her, if it's the last thing I do! I swear, I'll do it!" she shouted, Johnny finally got annoyed by her infinite rants, he put Devi down again. Then ran up to Alice stabbing her in the gut, slashing, ripping it out of her, Alice grinned.
"I'll see you in Hell Nny-pon." She said sweetly as she bled out. And that was the end of Alice of insanity.
The next day Devi woke up in Johnny's house, in his bed she assumed she hadn't been anywhere else but his living room. She looked around, Nny was sitting in the middle of the floor, he looked back at Devi and smiled a bit.
"Why am I here?" she asked a bit cross. Nny stood and walked over sitting on the bed.
"You won't have to worry about Alice anymore." He said in a monotone voice. Devi cocked an eyebrow.
"What happened?" she asked, not bother anymore with being in his house. Nny lowered his head.
"I killed her." he said, a bit somberly. Devi sat up.
"That so? I guess I should thank you for saving my life." She said. Johnny shook his head.
"don't worry about it, I'm just happy you're safe. I would have taken you home but I didn't know where you live so I brought you here." He said, "You can go home now if you want."
Devi sat for a minute then swung her feet over the side of the bed and sat there.
"Nah, I think I'll stay a bit longer." She said shifting her eyes toward Johnny. He cracked a little smile.
"She really was a good kid at first huh?" Devi asked, nonchalantly. Johnny nodded.
"Yeah she was, sorta." He said laughing a bit then stood. "I can walk you home if you want?"
Devi smiled, "Alright. Let's go." she said standing, accompanying Johnny as he went down the stairs and walked her home.
This ending suuucked, I somewhat had to speed up the ending, originally I was just gonna end it by killing off Alice, but the ending seems a bit sweeter than that. So I like the overall ending but the climax to this. Please review.
P.S. Gomenosai! Gomenosai! I didn't even notice the character error. Thank you my lovely readers for pointing that out. Kya! You guys are the best! n_n
