On the Dark Mark, Rudolph Spielman is approached in the gunnery station.
Burke. Ready to crank it up, Chief?
Spielman. [untruthful] Absolutely, sir.
Burke. Scut is we're here on the trail of the rebels. Just wanted to give you a head's up. Stay frosty.
Once Burke departs, Spielman is left sickened with himself as he reflects on how many lives were destroyed because he pulled the trigger, and of the others he will be forced to destroy soon, knowing that history will now remember him in the same vein as Mulciber and Vlad the Impaler.
Spielman. [aside] And I can't say I blame them. I don't think I'll ever be able to stop thinking about this. The dead will haunt me, forever. How can a man live with that?
The Dark Mark begins orbiting Hogwarts.
Ministry Trooper. Orbiting the region of maximum velocity. The island with the DA base will be in range in thirty minutes.
Snape. This will be a day long remembered. It has seen the end of Black. It will soon see the end of the Army.
As Thicknesse glances at Snape, the DA is preparing for battle.
Twonk. All pilots man your stations. All pilots man your stations.
Ron and Hagrid are preparing for departure.
Harry. So, you got your reward and you're just leaving, then?
Ron. That's right, yeah. I've got some old debts I've got to pay off. Even if I didn't, you don't think I'd be fool enough to stick around here, do you? Why don't you come with us? You're pretty good in a fight. We could use you.
Harry. [angry] Come on. Why don't you take a look around and see something besides yourself for a change? You know what's about to happen, what they're up against. They could use a good pilot like you. You're turning your back on them.
Ron. What good's a reward if you ain't around to use it? Besides, attacking that battle station ain't my idea of courage. It's more like suicide.
Harry. [angry] All right. Well, take care of yourself, Ron. I guess that's what you're best at, isn't it?
Harry turns away.
Ron. Hey, Harry.
Harry turns back to him.
May the Magic be with you.
Hagrid. Arooooohhhhoo. Oooohh.
Ron. What are you looking at, gruesome? I know what I'm doing.
And the two friends continue packing.
