Abby paced her apartment as she quietly sung the chorus of "Lean On Me" to herself. Her heart ached as she thought about the feelings her brothers and father still had about her joining IA, although her heart lifted a little when she remembered that Richie's case was dismissed.

Her eyes immediately moved to the recording device that lay on her counter and she grew angry. How dare Carl Scott go along thinking he could make Abby sleep with him in order to help her brother!

She groaned as she heard a loud banging on her door. "Who is it?" She shouted.

"Me." Came the angry reply.

She rolled her eyes. The last thing she needed was Donnie coming over and giving her grief by picking a fight. But she knew she couldn't ignore him, so she trudged over to the door and flung it open, revealing her pissed brother.

"What do you want?" She demanded as he walked inside.

"Why are you so stupid?"

"Donnie! I am not stupid!"

He glared at her. "So going against your family is stupid? Wow Abby, I really thought you had more sense than that."

She pointed at him. "You have no idea how hard this job has been for me so far."

"So hard that you couldn't help your own brother?" he shouted.

She sighed. "I told you I taken off the case! There was nothing I could do!"

'Not nothing.' she thought. 'Just nothing I was going to do.'

"Oh sure. Whatever. It's like you don't even care about your own family, Abby!"

"That is not true, and you know it! Don't even for a minute tell me that I don't care about this family." She was extremely angry now, and it was not the way she wanted to end the night.

Donnie was about to talk again when his gaze shifted to the counter. "Oh that's just great. Were you spying on us tonight?"

She was confused. "What?"

"The tape recorder. Were you like, spying to make sure we didn't slip up?" he scoffed and picked up the recorder.

"No, Donnie, don't!" But it was too late, he was already pressing play.

"You sure? I'm about to wrap up your brother's case. If you want it to go well, you'll let me buy you a nice thick steak, and a couple of dry martinis. Then we'll go back to your place, and you can thank me. How's that sound?"

"Sounds like extortion."

"Chop house at 8. Corner booth at the bar. Wear something that shows off your boobs."

Donnie stopped the tape and Abby sighed. "Abby tell me you didn't…"

She blinked. "Of course not! I was going to use that to file a report unless he cleared Richie and Brody."

Donnie stared at her. "Did you report him?"

She shook her head. "No. I can handle it. He knows not to ever look at me again, or that tape goes to Papadol."

"Are you serious? Why didn't you tell anyone?"

"I told Mom." She gave him a look. "I couldn't tell you. You're mad at me, remember?"

He glared at her. "True. But you're my sister."

She rolled her eyes. "You, Steve, and Dad are barely speaking to me. Richie had too much on his mind. Plus he thought I was 'buddies' with this guy."

"There you go again making things difficult. Why can't you just do the right thing…ever?" he was angry again.

"I am trying! But that doesn't mean I have to put my goals on hold while I do that." She exclaimed. "If your going to yell at me, get out."

He sighed. "Fine."

He walked to the door and yanked it open, then stopped. "He didn't hurt you, right?"

She blinked at him. "No. All talk."

He nodded, then left, slamming the door behind him. Abby sighed. "Damn brothers."

Here is one of the one-shots I talked about doing. Hope you like it.
