Isabella approached the two captives. This was the second time today The Firestorm Girls caught intruders. So, as usual, Isabella asked the same question.

"Watcha do-" Isabella started to ask, but she stopped when she noticed who the captives were: Phineas and Ferb, or at least who she thought were them. They looked...different.

"Phineas and Ferb?" Isabella asked. "What are you two doing back here?"

Phineas used a small knife he had with him to free himself and his stepbrother. "We're not really sure," the 11-year-old boy admitted. "Ferb forced me to come here, but I have no idea what he's thinking."

Isabella looked over at Ferb. Somehow, he looked better than he did before. Just looking at him made her cheeks feel warm.

"I guess you like what you see," Ferb said as he smirked and lowered his sunglasses a bit.

Isabella suddenly felt weird. "Wh-What do you mean by that?" she asked.

Ferb put his sunglasses back on. "It's kind of obvious," he said. "You're blushing and you look nervous."

Phineas cleared his throat, looking a bit impatient.

"Phineas, can you give Isabella and I a few minutes?" Ferb asked his stepbrother.

"Um...okay," Phineas said, then he left the room, closing the door behind him.

"That's better," Ferb said, then he looked over at Isabella. "Now, where were we?"

Suddenly, Ferb wrapped an arm around Isabella's waist, pulling her closer to him. She gasped at the gesture, trying to look at the ground. Wanting her to look at him, Ferb took off Isabella's beret, tossed it off to the side, and made her look at him.

"Ferb..." Isabella began.

"Shhh," Ferb said as he used his free hand to move a lock of black hair away from the 10-year-old girl's sapphire blue eyes. "Just enjoy this moment." Then he took off his sunglasses and put them in a pocket in his jacket.

Isabella gazed into Ferb's dark blue eyes. There was something about the strange 10-year-old boy that made her feel happy. She never met him until today, but she immediately felt some kind of connection.

"Why did you come here?" Isabella asked.

"Because you changed me," Ferb explained in a low whisper. "The moment I saw you, I realized my purpose in life. I would rather listen to what my heart instead of Doofenshmirtz."

"And what's your heart telling you?" Isabella asked.

Ferb leaned in closer so his lips were centimeters apart from Isabella's. "Fall in love with the beautiful girl from across the street," he whispered.

Before Isabella could react, Ferb gently kissed her, stroking her silky black hair. After a few seconds, Isabella kissed back, putting her hands on the back of his neck.

Phineas peaked in through the door and smiled. He knew things were going to change between his stepbrother and the strange girl from across the street from now on.
