Author's Note: Another piece of the buffet. Tidbit #9. This time it is like, one to three lines.

Something was wrong, something was most definitely wrong.

It had been too much like a game - something had to be wrong.

He had to be wrong. They weren't in Gotham, they wasn't anything fun about their current setting. Yet when he opened the door, and that song started playing - he knew he was right.

'RUN!' he shouts in his head as he follows his own orders.

'Rob, what's wrong?' One of his team members asks, but the shrilling methodical laughter that echoed through the dark underground halls made him unable to tell who had asked it.

His only light came from the blue holograms on his wrist, 'Meet at the stairs!' He thought back without any further explanation.

He pressed a holographic button to show the location above their current one.

The underground labyrinth led them all the way across town, from a condemned building to right under...

He stared at it with wide, masked eyes and skidded to a stop.

They needed to stop it, not run, they needed to-

'…try traumatized... I finally become leader and wind up sending all of my friend's deaths... I did what I had to do, but I hated it…'

No – NO!

He flicked his screen back to the level that he was on. He needed to make a left; he didn't bother to turn it off and just speed up his sprint.

Left, right, up, down, straight...

Come on, come on, come on...

Hurry up, hurry up, hurry up...

Left, right, up, down, straig-

He slammed into another body that knocked him to the ground.

Don't have time for this.

He jumped up, prepared to fight whatever goon or thing that has been sent by the-

He stopped himself before his fist collided with the clone's chest.

The entire team was there, waiting; wanting to know what was going on.

Miss Martian.

Kid Flash.

'You knew... You knew from the beginning why we were really here…' Kid Flash's words from their failed training exercise rushed back to him.

No. No. No.

"Robin!" Miss Martian says worriedly as she zooms up to him, "What's wrong? What's happened?"

Robin gulped back a hard lump in his throat, "We-" He thought back to the map on his wrist, "-You all need to get out of here right now!"

Aqualad placed a firm hand on his shoulder, "Robin, please explain wh-"

Robin groaned in frustration, "There's no time to explain! You all need to get out of here right now!" Robin brought up his map and pointed to a route, "This way now!"

He needed to get them out of there now.

They saw his urgency in voice and obeyed without a word. They followed him down the hall and up a flight of stairs. They got to a large door near the exit of the structure. Robin stopped in order to let them all over the threshold first.

"Robin!" Kid said picking up his urgency, "Come on!"

Robin hung his head, "I'm sorry but you all need to get out here!"

Kid Flash's eyes widened and before he could move a muscle, Robin closed and locked the door.

A large bang came from the other side, "ROBIN!" Superboy yelled as he tried to pry the door off its inexistent hinges.

Their calls tore him up inside, "I'm sorry," he said loud enough for them to hear, "But trust me! Just trust and listen to me! Get out of here right now! I'll see you guys outside!"

He didn't wait for a reply; he just bolted away from where he sealed them by the exit. He ran faster than he ever did before.

Miss Martian's voice entered his head, 'Rob-'

'GET OUT NOW!' He shouted to her before blocking her out completely.

He ran faster and faster, hoping that his friends would just listen to him and get out and prevent what he feared most from coming true.

Beads of sweat budded on his forehead, his heart pounded, begging him to turn around and save himself. Adrenaline pumping through his veins – the only that and liquidated fear pumped through his veins.

He pushed through his targeted door – there it was.

There's crying and screaming. He hears it, and he knows that it's his own voice. At the same time, there's a laughter. A sick, resounding one that fails to stop ringing through his ears.

'The thing inside him that drives him to sacrifice everything for his mission… That's not me…'

It is now.

Now I have _ Robin twice! D': It is very hard to convey someone who knows that they are going to die, but first has to get his friends out first. It's like - he could run, but at the same time he can't. I'm not going to say what exactly was going on, that can be for your thoughts to decide. Just know that it was great enough for Robin to... man I can't even say it. Dx
