Disclaimer- Stephenie still owns the usual suspects.
I own my original characters and original story.

The following is Edward's dream sequence already shared in the FB group Emmamamas Stories.

I almost included it in chapter 10 but, in the end, decided not to. That doesn't change the fact that it's part of the story: (this is my little homage to the final scene in "Raising Arizona")

Epilogue (of sorts)

Edward never told anyone, not even Bella, about the dreams that disturbed his sleep that night.

They began simply enough with a vision of Bella holding his hand and smiling as they stood on the sun drenched beach near their home, and witnessed the exchange of vows between Shelly Cope and Peter Logan.

And still he dreamt on…

Years passed, and he watched his children growing, laughing and playing. His son Charlie, older by several years, was carrying a fishing pole down to the dock; a smaller boy with light brown curls trailing after him.

Further into the future…

Edward turned to see a grown Marie at his side, her arm entwined with his as he led her down the aisle of a small church, toward where an awestruck Bobby Cope waited. Marie clung to Edward for just a moment before he kissed her cheek and placed her hand into the hand of the man who would become her husband.

Bella's head rested on his shoulder as they watched Marie and Bobby become man and wife.

Edward found it impossible to hold back his tears during the next vision, as Marie and Bobby presented Edward and Bella with their first grandchild, a boy. "I'd like you to meet Edward Cullen Cope," Marie told her parents with no small amount of emotion in her voice, "We hope he'll live up to the name and grow to be as fine a man as his Grandpa."

And still the years continued to pass...

The visions then became a blur of children growing up and, through career choice or circumstance, scattering to the four corners of the globe, always managing to return to Winter Harbor for special occasions or to spend holidays with their parents and grandparents.

He watched as Anthony, in his late thirties by this time, and considered by many in the family to be a confirmed bachelor, surprised them all when he returned home one Christmas with a fiancée.

Maya was Anthony's opposite in many ways, whereas he tended to be quiet and contemplative, she was vivacious and outgoing.

It was clear that their son adored her, and so, obviously, Edward and Bella immediately took her to their hearts.

The final vision granted Edward that night was one of Anthony at his own wedding, sharing the mother and son dance with Bella. Edward smiled as he took in the scene before him. Bella, looking as beautiful as the day they met, beaming up at their son with tears in her eyes while they danced.

Before you go to sleep,
Say a little prayer,
Every day in every way,
It's getting better and better,

Bella wiped her eyes and kissed Anthony's cheek.

Beautiful,Beautiful, beautiful,Beautiful Boy,
Out on the ocean sailing away,
I can hardly wait,
To see you to come of age,
But I guess we'll both,
Just have to be patient,

'Cause it's a long way to go,
A hard row to hoe,
Yes it's a long way to go,
But in the meantime,

The twinkle lights surrounding the dance floor began to flicker and blur…

Before you cross the street,
Take my hand,
Life is just what happens to you,
While you're busy making other plans,

The scene before his eyes faded as Edward was pulled into a deeper sleep…

Beautiful,Beautiful, beautiful,Beautiful Boy,

Whatever else he may have dreamed that night was forgotten upon awakening, but what he did remember was enough to ease his worries.

Whether the dreams were the result of an overactive imagination or a true glimpses of the future, only time would tell…
