Title: Fatal Attraction
Author: ebatcl/Natalie - The one who hardly updates .
Pairing: Clark Luthor and Lois Lane
Rating: NC - 17
Spoilers: None. This story has Clark Luthor and Lois Lane and several other SV characters, but this story is no way related to Luthor or Kent or SV in general. This is a complete AU story. I just find it hard to imagine Tom Welling's Clark Kent being a dark character, hence I went with TW's Clark Luthor...if that makes any sense.
Warning: Very dark fic, with stalking, murder, rapeetc involved. Please don't read if you find such topics disturbing.
Summery: Lois Lane, an upcoming actress, was the chief witness in the murder of the successful movie director, Lex Luthor. The killer was none other than the victim's own younger brother, Clark Luthor. Lois' testimony put Clark behind bars, but the case was reopened five years later, and due to lack of enough evidence, Clark Luthor was freed.
Claiming the estate and legacy reminded him too much of his, Clark Luthor sold his vast properties and moved away to another continent. Lois, initially worried, breathed a sigh of relief at Clark's departure and was thrown a lavish party by her personal assistant and confidant, Chloe Sullivan, for her engagement to the famous actor Oliver Queen.
Everything goes well...until the groom-to-be is found dead.
A/N: Yeah, I know, just kill me now...but also make sure Jen (FWvidchick) doesn't survive either. I've got so many unfinished fics, and then Jen goes ahead and posts a video in the Ksite Clois thread.
Evil - Clark & Lois AU
Needless to say, I just find myself unable to ignore the plot bunny. Hence, this story is born.
Hope you all like it .
Disclaimer: I do not own Smallville
Chapter - 1:
"That is simply not possible, Chloe," Lois exclaimed, the tears running down her cheeks. "I refuse to believe it."
Chloe sighed, her own face etched with pain.
"The autopsy report states it clearly, Lois. Oliver died of alcohol poisoning. And if you think about it, it's not a far fetched idea. Oliver always had a problem with alcohol. He had been to rehab three times already."
"Oliver wouldn't kill himself!"
"Nobody said he committed suicide, Lo," Chloe said gently. "He just...overdosed. Too much alcohol in his system, the servants dismissed for the night, and Oliver fell down the stairs. It's a freak accident, I know, but the truth is, Oliver Queen is no more."
Lois Lane broke down on her plush Arabian carpet and Chloe Sullivan, along with Martha Kent who had been Lois' nanny as a child and now had the role of her caretaker, helped the distressed actress to her expensive brass bed. As Chloe tucked her friend in, who was refusing to stay in bed but unable to do much else, Martha called in Miss Lane's personal physician, Dr Hall.
Carter Hall injected Lois with a sedative and the she slowly fell asleep.
"I know it's a difficult time for her, so you've to pay attention that she's not disturbed much. Lois took Oliver's death really hard. She's in a very fragile condition."
"We understand, Dr Hall," Martha Kent said, her tone a whisper. "The poor girl was so happy. She and Oliver had been together for three years, after they did the blockbuster movie Romeo and Juliettogether. Getting married and sharing a life together was all Lois had been able to think about for the past year."
"Looks like they were destined for an unhappy ending, like their movie roles."
"Oh, hush now, doctor," Martha Kent admonished the 30 something man.
"Look, why don't we go out of here and let Lois sleep?" Chloe said, intervening.
"Good idea," said the doctor. "I'll get going now. Give me a call when she wakes up and let me know how she feels."
"Got it, Doc," replied Chloe, as she closed the door to Lois' room behind the three of them.
2 days earlier:
"Are you happy?" Oliver Queen asked, as he slow danced with his new fiancee. Lois looked ravishing in green. It brought out the color in her eyes.
"This is exactly what I had dreamed of," murmured Lois, looking up at the man she was hopelessly in love with.
"You're not still angry over Clark Luthor being released, are you?" Oliver asked, frowning.
"I saw him walk out of Lex's office, I know Clark murdered his brother. It had given me immense satisfaction to see him sentenced for 26 years in prison."
"I'll never understand why that case was reopened or how Clark Luthor was set free, but at least, he's gone now. I would not have been able to bear the idea of a murderer walking free. So glad he relocated to a different country."
"Well, Clark had the Luthor money. His father, Lionel Luthor, had been one of the most richest producers back in the late seventies and early eighties. His mother, Lillian Luthor, is still considered one of the best actresses of all time. And then there was Lex. The guy just made one movie and it broke all records for being the most successful movie of the decade."
"And I'll always consider myself lucky to be part of such a movie," Lois said smiling, thinking of her first hit movie directed by none other than the late Lex Luthor. "It's a shame that Clark Luthor, who was nothing but the offspring and sibling of famous personalities, gets to enjoy all that they had left."
"Well, it's none of our concern. I don't want to think about Clark on her engagement party. I want to think about the night ahead."
"Oh, no, there is nothing to look forward to, Mr Queen. Martha has asked and I agreed, that there should be no physical contact between us until we are married."
"Oh, come on, now. It's not like we haven't..."
"Not happening!" Lois said, then laughed at Oliver's expression. "Hey, be happy that you will at least get to see me. Martha thought we should even stop seeing each other after tonight."
"Martha Kent is one mean woman," Oliver pouted, and then they both laughed as Lois raised on tip toes to kiss Oliver.
Neither noticed the man in black attire, watching them from a corner of the vast dance hall as he sipped his champagne. A sinister smile graced his full lips.
The party was over and Oliver Queen and Lois Lane went their separate ways. As he had originally planned to spent the night with his fiancee in a lavish hotel room, the blond actor had dismissed his servants for the night.
Yawning, he entered his house and locked up. Because of his problems with alcohol, Oliver didn't drink much these days. He was trying to reform his ways to be a better man for Lois. Hence, even though the urge was strong, Oliver by-passed the mini bar in his suite and headed straight for bed after cleaning up for the night.
That was as much as Oliver Queen had remembered, his last memories. Had he been alive, he would have never been able to explain why he woke up in the middle of the night and drank a whole bottle of wine or why he decided to try to walk downstairs in his tipsy state.
Lois woke up with a start.
It was Clark Luthor. She knew it. He had murdered Oliver. Clark as much as admitted it to her. The only problem was, she had not seen Clark Luthor in five years, not since when they both had been in the court room and he had stared at her passively with those blue-green eyes of his.
Clark's admission to the crime had been in her dream.
