XX Chapter Two. Birdie CAN'T fly XX
Robin stared over the edge of Slades hideout. He looked down at the ground belowand gluped. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. . . Na.
"Batman can. . .sorta fly. . .So I can to!" he said to no one in particular.
He stepped onto the edge, spread his arms and closed his eyes. He took a deep breath and-
Robin opened his eyes and looked down to Slade glaring up at him.
"Hi!" he yelled rapidly waving his arms excitedly.
"What are you doing?" Slade demanded.
"Seeing if I can fly. Duh!" Robin shouted back.
Slade smacked himself in the head "Get down from there now!"
"Okkie dokkie!" Robin yelled, then jumped.
Robin screamed as he plummeted to the Earth while Slade made no move to help the falling boy but merely sighed as he landed face first into the ground by his feet from the three foot fall.
"Wheee. . ." Robin moaned into the ground flapping his arms.
"Well," Slade began nudging the masked boy with his boot "Have anything to say?"
Robin lifted his head off the ground and nodded "Yeah. . .Birdie can't fly" and with that he let his head fall heavily to the ground.
