"Bella." She corrected James.

"Izzy, we need to talk."

"I'm right in front of you, talk."

"I think we need to break up."

"Break up?" Seriously? He was dumping her in a lounge bar?

"Yeah." A flash of hesitation washed over his features, but was gone just as fast as it came.

"You're dumping me."

"No, don't… don't see it like that. It's just that… I don't think we're good together. Different interests and-"
"You're dumping me because I won't put out." Bella cut him off.

"No, no, really. You know I don't mind waiting, it's other stuff." He said, and then muttered so softly she almost didn't hear "Though you could loosen up a little bit."

"You know James, I know you're breaking up with me because I won't put out, and that's exactly why I didn't put out. I saw this coming from miles away. But you know what, it don't matter. Why don't you pick up that redhead over there you've been making eyes at since we came in. I bet she puts out within the first five minutes. In the meantime, I'll be happy enjoying my drink," Bella raised her glass, "it provides more fun than you've given me in the past two months. Enjoy your night." She turned on her heel and walked over to the other side of the room where her friends Alice and Rosalie were chatting away with the bartender.

"What happened?" Rosalie asked when she pulled out a chair and sat down.

"James broke up with me."

Alice gasped. "What?"

"Yeah, because I won't put out."

"He said that? I'm gonna rip this motherf-" Alice started to get up, but Bella tugged on her arm.

"Hey, sit down. I hate being dumped, but he was a sleazebag that I only dated because of my mother."

"Doesn't give him the right-" Rosalie started.

"No, no, it's fine. It's not like I'll have to see him again, so. Yeah. I'm fine."

"You broke up with someone?" The blonde bartender asked.

"Yeah, that asshole over there." Bella pointed at the general direction James was standing in, and noticed he had indeed moved closer to the redhead.

"You know what, if he needs another drink this evening, make sure you spit in it." Bella said bitterly.

"You know if you need some comforting, I have a lovely apartment. Some music, some wine, it'll cheer you right up." The blonde smiled and winked at her.

Rosalie giggled and Bella's eyes widened.

"Uhm, I broke up with him, not with his gender. Sorry." She apologized.

"No worries. If you change your mind, you know where to find me."

"Okay. My name is Bella by the way." Bella grinned.

"Tanya. And free drinks for you three tonight." She said and poured them another round of shots.

. . .

"Woah, who is that?" Alice said sometime later.

"What, where?" Bella tried to follow her gaze.

"The door." Alice pointed.

Three men just entered the bar looking sharp in casual suits, flashy hair, overwhelming heights and general broadness. Bella's breath caught when she saw the one with the brownish hair. He was beautiful. He looked like he just walked of the cover of GQ into her eyesight. The hard angle of his jaw was softened by the relaxed smile that played on his mouth. It was hypnotizing. His eyebrows. They were intense. Everything about him made Bella have all these intense feelings.
She may have made a sound but she wasn't sure.

"Oh my god." Rosalie breathed.

"I know." Alice said in the same voice.

"Jaw-porn." Bella moaned softly.

"Which one?" Alice asked.

"Brown hair." Bella said, still hypnotized.

"Good, the blond is mine."

"Gah, look at him," Rose followed the jock with the black hair with her eyes.

The three of them started to walk the few steps up to the landing in the direction were James stood talking up the redhead. James turned to GQ Jaw and greeted him with familiarity.

Disappointment flooded through Bella. They know each other. Fuck. Rose and Alice were still staring off into the distance, but Bella turned around on her barstool.

"Hey Tanya," Bella called Tanya's attention.

"Yeah sugar?" Tanya called back.

"Another one?" She raised her shot glass.

"Coming right up." Tanya answered and finished up helping another customer.

"Boy, he really did a number on you, didn't he." She said once she was in front of Bella, pouring her another drink.

"Nah, not just him, all men are assholes, accept for my dad. Speaking of numbers, can I get yours, I might reconsider." Bella sighed as she laid down her head on the bar. She felt a hand patting her hair for a moment, and then it was gone.

She peeked in the direction of GQ Jaw again and saw his hand on the arm of the redhead. What a slut.

"I need to pee." She complained to no one in particular.

Bella dragged herself off the barstool and into the direction of the ladies room, which had to be close to the landing where GQ Jaw and her ex and the little slut were standing with Blonde and Black.

She was close enough to hear their voices and curiosity got the best of her when she heard someone say "The brunette that just got up."

She held still behind the plant next to the ladies room so she wasn't in sight.

"The one in the blue dress?"

Bella looked down. She wore a blue dress. Fuck, where they talking about her?

She had trouble to understand everything since there were so many people around.

"I bet…-" Bet what?

"… Piece of cake."

"No, I'm not…"

"Ha, you can't…"

"Fuck, fine, I take it. How long? ..."

"Are you out of your mind?"

"I can afford it and I know you can."

"Fuck, whatever. Okay. Fine." They were betting on her?

Bella had heard enough and pushed the door to the ladies room open.

She peed out whatever she could and went to wash her hands. The door opened and the redhead entered, not sparing her a glance. Bella glared at her from the corner of her eye.

Slut. Slutslutslut. She insulted her silently.

The redhead went into a stall and Bella returned to the bar. There she found Blond and Black chatting up her friends. She scowled at them and took back her place on the barstool.

"Bells, this is Emmett." Rosalie introduced the black haired jock.

Bella sent him a glare.

"Woah, what's she drinking?" Emmett asked taken aback.

"Nevermind her." Rosalie said and placed her hand on his arm. Emmett looked down at her hand and then back into her eyes. He was a goner.

"Yeah, hi, I'm Jasper." Blond said.

"Bella, and I don't care. Men suck."

Alice patted her hand and then proceeded to capture Jasper's attention.

"Ahum", a cough came from behind her.

She didn't turn around.

Another cough.

"What?" Bella turned around annoyed. It was GQ Jaw. Probably trying to win his bet and the ten bucks they put on her.

"Right, well, uhm. Hello?" GQ said, a little taken aback by her harsh attitude.

"Okay." Bella turned back around, trying to ignore the God behind her.

She felt him taking place in the stool next to her.

"You can't sit there."

"Why not?"

"It's Elvis' spot."

"Yeah, it's reserved for Elvis."

"Who's Elvis?"

Bella turned to look at him, shock written all over her face.

"The King? You don't know the King?"

"Presley? I hate to break it to you honey, but he passed away some time ago. He isn't going to show up, but since you're looking lonesome tonight, how about I keep you company?" GQ said in a smooth voice.

"Unless you are the reincarnation of Elvis, then no." Bella shook her head and sipped from her drink.

"You are very strange."

"Is that a compliment?"

"I'm not sure yet."

"What's your name?" GQ asked.

"Find out on your own."

"This is me, trying to find out on my own. What's your name?"

"Well Bella, you look-"

"You are not going to tell me I look pretty, please don't be a cliché." Bella cut him off.

"I was going to say you look very beautiful tonight, especially in your blue suede shoes. But I guess I won't if you don't want to hear it."

"You noticed my shoes?" Bella's eyebrows raised a little.

"That's not the only thing I noticed." GQ winked at her.

"Perv." Bella rolled her eyes and turned away slightly.

"My name is Edward actually. Can I buy you a drink?"

"I flirted with the bartender, so I get free drinks tonight."

"Right, you order then." Edward grinned at her. He was dazzling.

"Hey," Edward called Tanya's attention. "Can she get two more drinks?"

"I don't want any more drinks." Bella said annoyed.

"Yeah, you do."

Tanya brought them two other shots. Bella downed hers within seconds. She felt pretty drunk by now.
"I'm not going home with you." Bella warned Edward.

"I never said you had to." Edward said.

"I know you."

"You don't."

"Yes I do, you're a man, and men suck. Besides, I've already had an offer."

"Yeah, from who," Edward frowned.

"A hot blonde. So you had your drink, you had your flirt, you're not Elvis' reincarnation, go away. Get fresh with someone else." Bella waved her hand at him.

"But darling, you're so interesting, are you sure I can't take you out to dinner somewhere?"

Suddenly, Bella was really mad at James and because of that she was mad at Edward. And she was mad that he succeeded to be charming. The devil.

She was going to show them.

"Tomorrow night. What's your number?"

Bella gave him her number and then gave him a stinkeye for good measure.

"Hey Tanya, I'm taking your offer."

Edwards eyes widened.

"She was first, fair is fair. You got dibbs on me tomorrow. See you later perv." Bella slid down from her stool and walked over to Tanya who had come out from behind the bar.

Edward watched Bella and her blue suede shoes leave on Tanya's arm.
