A/N: Merry Christmas everyone! I do not own any of the characters from the series. They belong to J.K. Rowling. Enjoy this little story in honor of Christmas!

The Burrow was crammed full of people. Weasleys made up the majority but the Minister of magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt and his family had been invited, Andromeda Tonks and her grandson, Teddy Lupin and the Potters were all there. The Longbottoms were on their way and the Malfoys had just arrived. Molly had never seen so many people in her house at one time. This didn't bother her in the least. She loved how close everyone was especially at Christmas time.

Teddy was weaving through the crowd of family members in search for one specific person. He craned his neck looking every which way.

"If you're looking for Vic she's in the kitchen with Grandma," Rose said sipping some hot chocolate.

"Thanks Rosie," Teddy grinned. He weaved his way to the kitchen. Victoire was hovering over the cookie platters trying to decided which one she wanted.

"Hey Vic," Teddy said. "Care to go on a walk? We can get away from the noise and crowd for a bit."

Victoire picked up a ginger snap. "Sure," she said taking a bite out of the cookie. The two grabbed their cloaks and went outside. A soft snow was falling. Teddy took Victoire's hand.

"You know, I love watching snow fall, I just hate it when it's on the ground," Victoire said.

"I know," Teddy chuckled. "You complain about it every year."

They walked in silence Victoire finishing her cookie. It wasn't until they'd gone through the nearby woods and reached their secret meadow that Victoire finally spoke.

"You brought me here for a reason," she said. "What's up?"

"I…I kind of wanted to give you your present early," Teddy said nervously. "If you don't mind."

"Oh no, I love getting presents early," she said excitedly.

"Good," Teddy swallowed. "I spent a lot of time picking it out."

"You bought me a gift?" Victoire said. "But we promised each other we wouldn't do that. We have to make our gifts."

"This is the one exception only because it had to be absolutely perfect," Teddy said. He pulled a small wrapped package out of his pocket. Victoire smiled. The wrapping paper was poinsettia patterned. She took it and slowly began to unwrap it. Inside was a velvet box. He eyes widened. Slowly, she opened the box to reveal the most beautiful yet simple diamond ring. She gasped and looked up at Teddy. He smiled.

"I know we haven't been dating very long but we've known each other our whole lives," he said quickly. "And I love you. What better time to ask you to marry me than Christmas? Love one another they say."

Victoire's eyes teared up as Teddy took the ring and knelt on one knee in the snow.

"Victoire Mai Weasley, will you marry me?" he asked. Victoire nodded vigorously.

"Oui! Of course!" she flung her arms around him. "This is the best gift I could ever get!"

"A diamond ring?" Teddy asked slipping it on her finger.

"No, someone who loves me," she said. "You basically gave me yourself."

"I did, didn't I?" Teddy laughed. "Merry Christmas, Victoire."

"Merry Christmas, Teddy," Victoire said. Teddy looked up.

"Oh look, mistletoe," he said. Victoire laughed and kissed him. This was the best Christmas ever.
