AN: Hey guys, so here's a quick scene of something I wish we could've witnessed this past year. The song is "God Gave Me You" by Blake Shelton. I love Steve and Gail and wish more people would write about their relationship, or at the very least more people would write ATW fics. I unfortunately don't own the show, characters, or song :( Enjoy and please reviews!

The mood was light as we all sat in a corner booth laughing as we listened to the drunk blonde onstage belting out "Feels Like A Woman" by Shania Twain.

"Geez that's bad, " Steve says as the waitress sets the cold bottles down.

Slapping him on the should I say, "Aw come on, at least she had the guts to get up there and sing. I don't see your ass up on that stage."

Everyone laughs, "Oh, you want me to sing huh, okay then." Standing, Steve walks toward the table at the side of the stage. He quickly mumbles something to the guy at the computer.

Nodding, the guy hands Steve the mike and begins searching for his music.

"This song is for my beautiful wife of seven years, I love you Gail."

The music started and Steve's off key voice filled the room.

I've been a walking heartache
I've made a mess of me
The person that I've been lately
Ain't who I wanna be

But you stay here right beside me
And watch as the storm blows through
And I need you

Cause God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
And for when I think I lost my way
There are no words here left to say, it's true
God gave me you
Gave me you

Tears shone in Gail's eyes as she stared at Steve and began mouthing the words back to him.

There's more here than what we're seeing
A divine conspiracy
That you, an angel lovely
Could somehow fall for me
You'll always be love's great martyr
And I'll be the flattered fool
And I need you

Slowly walking off stage and ignoring the comments from the guy at the computer, Steve walks up to his wife and takes her hand, pulling her onto the center of the worn, hardwood floor.

God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
And for when I think I lost my way
There are no words here left to say, it's true
God gave me you

On my own I'm only
Half of what I could be
I can't do without you
We are stitched together
And what love has tethered
I pray we never undo

Cause God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
And for when I think I lost my way
There are no words here left to say, it's true
God gave me you, gave me you.
He gave me you.

The music faded out and computer guy walked up to the couple that was lost in each other's eyes on the dance floor, he slipped the mike from Steve's hand and headed back to his table. Even with the music gone, Steve and Gail never slowed their dancing, obviously content on staying there.

"Maybe we should all learn a thing or two from our nosy brother," I say as I throw down some bill on the table for my beers and grab my coat. Seeing Donnie and Richie nod before Richie looks up.

"Wait a minute, I'm happily married, I have nothing left to learn, and I am going home to my beautiful wife." He says walking out the doors without bothering to pay for his share of the beer.

I throw some more bills down and look at Donnie, "Well I guess he told us," we chuckle.

"Yeah, I guess he did, I'll see you later Abs, text me when you get home so I know you're safe kay."

Rolling my eyes, I smile back at him, "Will do, I'll see you a dinner Sunday," I says hugging him before heading out into the cold. Without realizing it, I arrive at Brody's apartment, looking up at the building, I smile and finally know, I've finally made a choice. I shoot Donnie a quick text before heading inside.
