I don't own Harry Potter or Charmed, I make no money from this story.
AN: Ok I know this is overdone but I had to take a crack at it, it's a semi charmed cross over but mostly centred at Hogwarts. Hope you all enjoy XX
The headmaster sighed as he leaned back in his chair. The Potters sat across from him, each holding a child; Harry and Evan slept peacefully unaware of the significance of the conversation going on around them, Sirius and Remus sat in silence waiting for the verdict to be reached. "I know Legilimency is unable to be used on a child, but there must be something we can do, we must know which one it is." Lily stated desperately, "the press will be all over this by morning and they will want to know..." she trailed off looking over at James as he nodded eagerly at the headmaster. Albus sighed once again, there is no way to know for sure what happened in that room but he had reached several conclusions so far. "Well let's see what we can find, tell me what happened, and how you found the boys." Lily nodded immediately and began to explain how she and James had been on the living room and the boys sleeping when they had been attacked, they were stunned when Voldemort attacked the twins and had been destroyed. She showed the boys wounds to the headmaster- Harry's on his forehead and Evan's over his left arm. Albus inspected the marks, and nodded already forming his conclusion, "Have either of the children showed signs of magic?" he asked, by this age their powers may already have been showing, especially when they had enough to defeat a fully grown wizard. James nodded "a few weeks ago Evan levitated a toy from across the room and last week he summoned a bottle. We haven't seen any from Harry yet." Sirius nodded with a grin remembering the look on his friends face when Prongslet caught the stuffed bear. Albus nodded and pulled out his wand "If I may check the boys magic levels?" he asked and the parents nodded. As the headmaster inspected the twins the Potters looked to their friends to see how they were taking it Sirius had a grin on his face as he looked at his godson's one of whom had vanquished a dark lord, they then turned to Remus who was silent and looked as if he was struggling, he looked up as he felt their eyes on him, he offered a weak grin at their concerned looks, "Moonys upset, he almost lost his pack." He explained and they nodded in understanding, this close to the full moon the wolf would be close to the surface. The headmaster got their attention again as he put his wand away and returned the children to their parents. "Based on the evidence, Evan is the Saviour. The injury he was 'marked' on the same arm Voldemort brands his followers, Harrys injury was likely caused by debris. He has showed signs of magic this early shows he will be powerful, power he would have needed to vanquish the Voldemort, and the scans show that he has a developed core, Harry however has very little signs of magic. I'm sorry but I believe Harry is a squib."
LATER THAT NIGHT
Lily sat on the plush couch in one of Potter Manors many living rooms leaning on James's shoulder thinking about the babies in the nursery. She inhaled deeply before turning to her husband. "Jamey..." she started at the same time he said "Lils..." she smiled and nodded to him to continue "I don't know if you understand the treatment of squibs in our world... " he started not quite meeting her eyes "It's worse than muggleborns, it's not discussed in open but many pureblood families disown and banish those without magic... and with Evan being the Boy-Who-Lived and receiving so much extra attention and the constant threat of Death Eaters..." He paused there and looked at Lily for the first time since the conversation began, she met his eyes and nodded.
"He wouldn't be safe." She agreed, "I was thinking I could see Petunia, she has a child the same age, she would understand, especially if we explain that he would have no magic, she would understand it just wouldn't be fair to tease him with it." James nodded and it was decided, they would take him there in the morning.
The next morning the Potters got out of bed and quietly dressed the twins. After getting ready they left the house and headed off to Surry. It had been a long time since Lily had seen her older sister but she knew her and her husband had moved here after their marriage. She smiled slightly as they made their way down the street, this was so Petunia, the houses all matched and they looked like something out of a magazine. They reached the gate of number four and once again looked at her husband he nodded and she strengthened her resolve, this was for the best, Harry would have a normal life never knowing what he was missing and they would have the time they needed to focus on Evan. She walked up the path with Harry in her arms, her husband following with Evan, she took a deep breath and knocked on the door. Twenty minutes later with assurances the child was perfectly normal as well as a promise never to return the elder Potters left with only one child.
