Hi. Hope you enjoy this new chapter.
Harley sat waiting at a steel table in the bare room. The bricks were cracked and roughly painted over. On the left-hand side of the room was a mirror which Harley suspected to be a see through. She raised her wrists which were cuffed together and tested him by taunting the chains.
As she did that, the door to her cell opened and in walked a familiar face.
"Evening Mr G. How's the family?" grinned Harley as she straighten at the sight of Jim Gordon in the door way.
Gordon ignored her as he approached the table and sat down. His brown hair had turned grey over time. He was tall and thin and dressed in a suit that looked clean despite his work.
"Harley Quinn. Heard a lot about you." said Gordon as he placed a brown folder on the table and opened it. He pulled out a picture and showed a photo of the Joker. "Do you know who he is?"
Harley grinned and picked up the picture with both hands. "Aw, Puddin' will be mad. You didn't get the lightening right."
"I take it that you know him. Where is he?" asked Jim.
"Not gonna tell you Jimmy. The thing is I'd only talk to one person." said Harley. "And tell Mr B to get out of the shadows and you can then treat yourself to a nice coffee."
A small scowl appeared on Jim's face as Batman stepped out of the shadows. "You got ten minutes." said Jim before he stood up and left the room. Batman sat down.
"You kissed me." stated Batman in his rough sounding voice as he and Harley sat on each side of the table.
Harley smiled before she said. "It was a very good kiss. Why didn't you call me?"
"Mainly because I was dying at the time." growled back batman.
"Oh, so you didn't like the lipstick? You could just let me go and I'd go and get another." said Harley before her voice dropped into a seductive tone. "Then me and you can get heavy and sweaty on the table. Me screaming in pleasure whilst you shout out 'I am the goddamm batman!"
"Why would I want to play with Joker's little toy." said Batman.
"Hehe. Believe what you want Bats. You think that I am just a toy; I'm a toy who started a party. And you and your precious kiddies are invited."
"And what party would this be?" asked Batman.
"The first death party of Gotham" giggled Harley as she brushed strand of her hair out of the way. "Everyone is invited. I've given out a lot of invites today. There's been you and your little gang. Mr Sharpie who wants to find a hooker to make him look good. And there is Mr J who's going to be the best hope ever. He's working on so much fun to happen."
"This party will be stopped before you even start." growled Batman.
"You wish." smirked Harley. "But first, I wanna talk to someone else. Why don't you send in a birdie. Preferable a female. I got something to ask her. If you give me that, I'd give you the guest list for you all to see."
Batman's hand then reaches forward and grabbed Harley's left wrist. "Why should I allow that."
"Because you don't want me. You want the Joker." said Harley. Batman growled as he gripped at the leather wristband which had a blood red ruby on the black leather. "Or did you change your mind about the hot and heavy sex?"
Batman's glare morphed back into his normal poker face and with a flick of a wrist, Harley's wristband slipped off. Harley's other hand quickly grabbed the now vacant wrist as Batman left.
A dirty blonde woman skipped her way through the airport, drawing a few people's attention because of her clothing. Beer corks could be seen hanging from her ears and it was rare to see a woman skip in public.
Behind her was a brunette who smirked at the blonde in amusement. Her once bushy, brown hair had calmed somewhat in recent years and she still wore it loose and to the small of her back. She had tight jean shorts that showed off what many considered to be the best bum in magical England (carrying heavy tomes up and down several flights of stairs for seven years would do that) and a black tank top and sports bra supported her modest 'A' cup breasts making them look more like a petite 'B.'
As the pair of woman approached the passport control, the guard on duty took the passports and examined them. He then looked up and asked "What's the nature of your visit to Gotham?"
"Business." said the brunette, her voice clear and in control.
"Nature of your business?"
"Work." said the brunette.
"Okay, Welcome to Gotham Director Granger and Agent Lovegood."
Back at the cell
Raven sighed as the door opened to Harley Quinn's cell. Harley looked up and she grinned in delight. Raven walked up and took a seat opposite Harley.
"I always thought that you were a couple inches taller." said Harley as she leaned on the table. "I guess size doesn't show off the correct amount of power."
"Size can be misleading." stated Raven, her emotionless voice a different contrast compare to Harley's cheerful one.
"Obviously, look at us. We both saved the world in our time. We both had our enemies' soul in us. You your father's and I had my parents killer's in mine." said Harley.
"And? My father gone." said Raven.
"And with each victory over evil, another head takes its place." said Harley with a giggle. Anyway, I have a message for you from Mr J."
"What is it?" asked Raven as Harley leaned forward.
"Only a simple one little birdie." said Harley as she straightened and prepared herself before saying. "The end of Gotham shall come from a small smile. The small demon that controls her emotions for good will be forced to unleash them for bad. And goodie goodie batman and his team will watch as the powers of Raven be used for their demise."
Sorry, I've been away for a while. School work was thrown at me and therefore I had little time to write.
Hope you enjoy this. The plot is developing and there will be a character death in this story.
