A/n: Alright the sequel is up! For everyone who asked - this is for you. For everyone who didn't ask - it's perfectly acceptable to pretend that the story ended here. My ending was actually written as an ending, and sometimes it's better to have some closure rather than wait forever on the edge of a cliff (even if you might get more excitement that way). In any case, the story is waiting for you on my profile page.

So basically this is just a post to update you guys, but it feels too weird posting a chapter with only a little message. So here's a few bonus scenes for your enjoyment / my neurosis.

Deleted scenes: I had originally planned to do something with the Kumo incident at Two Years Old, but decided I didn't want to overcomplicate the story and held back. This is the little I'd written before I scrapped the whole thing, though.

x

While Kumo's intelligence was not the best, they were far from being the worst, either.

Three years ago the Kyuubi had attacked Konohagakure, and was consequently never heard of again.

Three years ago Uzumaki Kushina, the 'last' of her clan and the Jinchuuriki for the Kyuubi no Yoko had died.

Three years ago was when the secret child of Uzumaki Kushina and Namikaze Minato, the Yondaime Hokage, was due.

Blond, blue eyed, three, and with christened with that name? The Raikage thought with a disgusted shake of his head, Sarutobi you old fool, are you trying to get us to take him off your hands?

x

"If we have another kidnapping attempt, we'd definitely come to war. Jinchuriki have always been a tense affair between villages. But this boy here, he isn't only a Jinchuriki."

"Raikage-sama?"

A let out a low, rumbling laugh. He had been wondering how to get more materials for his weaponry. "I wonder how much Onoki will pay to get his grubby little hands on information concerning the late Yondaime Hokage."

x

"Are you an idiot?" Onoki growled, "Look, why do you suppose A gave us this information?"

"Wasn't it to get the rights to the mines near the border, Tsuchikage-sama?"

Onoki's eyes flashed, "No. Well, okay, yes, but there's more to it than that. What do you suppose will happen if we make an assassination attempt on the Yondaime Hokage's heir who also happens to be the Jinchuriki of Konoha?"

"There will be war," there was no hesitation in his aide's voice, "but we are willing to go to war for something like that, aren't we?"

"Of course we are you blubbering fool! And without the Yondaime, Konoha doesn't stand a chance! But what do you suppose will happen after the war?"

His aide though for a moment, and then his eyes widened in realization.

"That's right," Onoki snapped, "Kumo will be there, reaping in the spoils of our mutual destruction. It was bad enough four years ago, and it'll be worse this time. We can't afford to go to war, not because we're afraid of Konoha, but because that's what that sly devil A wants, and I refuse to bow to him!"

"But… but we can't very well leave—"

"Of course we can't! The Yondaime's heir needs to be dealt with. We just can't do it in a way that will implicate Iwa. Find some missing nins or something, I don't know, but do not let Konoha know that Iwa knows. You've been slow today, but we can't let anyone else know that the Yondaime has an heir, so I'll leave this matter to you. Do not screw up, is that understood?"

His aide nodded, "Yes sir!"

Omake/alternate: The Shodai and his brother

"Ah but what's this?" Suddenly the Nidaime's attention turned away from his brother and towards the other member that had been raised with them. "It looks like you didn't completely succeed. Hmpht. You might have been lucky with us, child, but you'll find that my Edo Tensei is not so easy to use."

"Even so," Minato smiled grimly, "it's still quite a troublesome jutsu."

"Yeah," the Shodai frowned, "I'm not too fond of it either. Let's resist, eh brother?"

The Nidaime glared, "Idiot! We can't resist! That's the whole point of this jutsu."

"But he resisted!" The Shodai pointed an accusing finger at Minato, "And we can't let these 'youngsters' show us up can we? Ahahahahaha!"

The Nidaime twitched.

It was found out that day that Edo Tensei could be broken through, if one was only angry enough.
