Author's Notes: Written for TuesdayNovember's "Time" Challenge on xoxLewrahxox's Bellatrix Lestrange: The Dark Lord's Most Faithful forum.
This fortnight's challenge is 'times of day' (or night). For this challenge, I want you to set or focus your fic at a specific time, be that either an exact hour (X o'clock) or something more vague, like afternoon. The time can be either a prominent feature, or just a subtle reference, as long as it's included.
And, to return us to our challenge roots, so to speak, the word limits are either 100 or 500 words (give or take a few.)
Exactly 100 words. Enjoy!
Narcissa opened her eyes. Morning sunlight filtered through her curtains, falling over Rodolphus where he lay stretched beside her. She felt her lips curve into a smile, remembering last night.
"It's almost nine," Rodolphus whispered. "I need to go."
Narcissa's face fell immediately. "Please don't… stay with me…"
"She was with the Dark Lord all night!"
Rodolphus's expression hardened. "That's not true."
"It is. I overheard–"
Rodolphus silenced her with a violent kiss. They did not leave bed until late afternoon, when he had finished venting his anger upon Narcissa in the most pleasurable way possible.
