Enkidu07's Drabble Challenge

Challenge Word: COPY

Word Count: 200 words (Decided to do a double drabble this evening.)

Other players in the challenge are now too many to list here! There're lots of people building these Supernatural snowmen. You can find the list of names at Enkidu07's profile page and/or OnyxMoonbeam's profile page. Also, to find all of the lovely drabbles, there's a sweet little C2 community out there to subscribe to and enjoy. You can find the link on their profile pages mentioned above.

Disclaimer: Neither the boys nor anything related to Supernatural belongs to me. I'm just having some fun with the boys, playing around with Eric Kripke's sandbox.

Dean crashed to his knees next to his little brother who lay beaten and bloodied on the ground, his frantic hands instantly grasping, assessing. "Sam? Sammy, talk to me!"

To his amazement, Sam let out a low, and painful sounding, chuckle. "Sam?" His brow wrinkled in puzzlement.

"K-kn-knew it w-w-wasn't you!"

Sam smiled, his split lip leaking more blood. "Knew it—wasn't y-you."

"T-Tried to b-be an exact c-copy of you. B-but the w-way it—said S-S-Sammy. 'S'all w-wrong."

Sam slowly shook his head. "Mimic Monster."

"Mimic Monster? Like from Dungeons and Dragons?" Dean helped his injured sibling to his feet, hanging on tightly when Sam's knees wobbled violently. "You mean they're real?" he panted.

"'pparently so." Sam sucked in a breath, took a step, eyes slamming closed when the injuries he'd received vehemently protested. "Sh-shit!" he hissed.

"Hang on—I gotcha."

"Mm. Good." He leaned to the support as they began their formidable journey back to the car. "Dean?"

"Dude, seriously? Dungeons and Dragons? You?"

"Hey—research. EARLY research."

"If you say so."

"I do. And Dad debunked it long ago. Or so I thought."

Sam grunted. "Guess he was wrong."

"Yeah. Guess so."
