Hey guys I'm back from the grave with the first chapter of the sequel. I know I've been gone for a long time but it's senor year for me and a lot of crazy stuff has been happening. So I apologize for my absence and reward all of you with the sequel. Now I don't own Twilight, that belongs Stephanie Meyer. Now on with the story.

BELLA POV

The plane ride back from the island was long but I was glad to be back in Forks. Sure I was tired from the ride and the events beforehand but hey, that's my life for you; just one crazy supernatural thing after another. And I wasn't just talking about going on vacation with my vampire boyfriend and his vampire family. No. I was talking about that fact that during vacation I found out that I was a mermaid, but not just a mermaid a mermaid princess that happened to be the strongest mermaid in the seven seas. And that I just so happened to find my grandparents and save our kingdom under the sea from a complete nut job. But hey, no big deal. Once we got off the jet I noticed that four of the Cullen's cars were there: Edward's Volvo, Alice's Porsche, Rosalie's BMW, and Carlisle's Mercedes. I rolled my eyes for the unnecessary need for every couple to have a car. All the Cullens were heading back to their mansion, except for Edward who was driving me home. I went to retrieve my luggage from the jet when I noticed that Edward had gotten them and he had somehow managed to get my carryon too.

"Edward I can carry my own carryon," I said fighting for my carryon. I knew it was pointless to argue about my other luggage but this was ridiculous.

"But Bella I wanna do this for you," Edward whined. I took a minute to think about how I would get my bag out of Edward's hand and back into my own. As the light bulb went off in my head I weaved my arms under the luggage and around Edward's waist and reached up to kiss him. Here's where my brilliant plan came in, I carefully side my hand into Edward's pocket and grabbed his keys to his Volvo. After I carefully placed them in my own pocket I broke from the kiss. "Thank you for the kiss but that still won't get you your bag." I couldn't help but roll by eyes before strolling over to Edward's Volvo.

"Fine," I sighed. I leaned against the side of the driver's door, looking dejected. "If I can't have my bag then I guess I'm just gonna have to drive." In a flash I got into the car and locked it before Edward had time to stop me. I slide the key into the ignition and started the car. I'm not gonna lie I felt really powerful behind the wheel of the fast car, it excited me. With his vampire speed Edward ran over to the car, set the bags down, and tried to open the door.

"Bella, unlock the door," Edward said. As Edward continued to pull on the handle I heard Emmett laughing. I opened the window a crack to talk to him.

"Give me my bag and you'll get the car," I said negotiating.

"Bella," Edward complained. I was not budging so; I put the car in drive and then stepped on the gas. A rush of adrenaline coursed through my veins causing me to think back to my adrenaline junkie days. Edward ran equally with the car. "Alright! Alright!" I smiled victoriously before stopping the car and putting it in park. I opened the door and stepped out of the car, Edward stood there holding out my carryon. Swiftly I took it before walking over to the passenger side and got in. Edward, after putting both of our luggage into the trunk, was back within three seconds and was driving me home.

"I can't believe you managed to get my keys out of my pocket without me knowing," Edward muttered.

"Hey, this new me is more clever than before," I said.

"And more stealthier than before," Edward added.

"I have to admit it was exciting."

"What was?"

"Being behind the wheel of the car; stepping on the gas and speeding down the road."

"Says the girl who begs me to slow down when I'm driving."

"Okay so I'm a hypocrite but perhaps I can warm up to the idea of a fast car." I looked over and saw Edward smirking deviously. "That wasn't me giving you permission to take my truck and buy me a new car." Instantly Edward's smirk disappeared. "Let my truck live out the rest of its life and then maybe we can talk about a new car." Edward frowned but didn't push on the subject, instead he changed it.

"So do you know what you're gonna tell Charlie?" Edward asked. I couldn't help but sigh, I had been thinking on and off about the conversation I would have to have with Charlie on the plane. I truthfully didn't know how to handle it. Would I try and stay calm and try to slip it into a regular conversation? Or would I take the angry route and just blurt it out?

"I don't know," I admitted.

"Well you'll have to think fast, we're here." I looked out the window and sure enough we were at my house. I almost forgot how fast Edward drove and how short it took him to get to my house. Edward pulled up into my driveway, parked the car, and then removed the keys from the ignition. I took a deep breath before getting out of the car. I grabbed my carryon while Edward went and got my bags from the trunk. Edward and I walked up to the front door and opened it.

As soon as we walked through the door confetti was thrown in my face, blinding me for a minute. When my vision was finally clear I saw it was Renee that threw the confetti. My carryon fell to the floor as I flung my arms around my mother's body, both of us attacking each other in a hug.

"Mom what are doing here?" I asked.

"I thought I'd come visit. Phil's on the road and I was missing you so I flew up to see you," Renee explained, "When I got here your father said that you were on vacation with the Cullens. But he said you'd be back in a few days so I stayed and planned this little welcome home party." We broke away from our hug.

"And dad let you do this?" I asked.

"She didn't really give me much of a choice." I looked up and saw Charlie coming down the stairs, which was also when I noticed the welcome home banner. "Welcome home kiddo."

"Thanks dad."

"Edward."

"Sir."

"So why don't you tell us all about your trip. We're dying to know what happened."

"You're mother more than me." I semi tensed. Should I tell them now or wait? Does Renee even know about my mermaid grandparents at all? Panicking a little I decided that stalling would be the best thing to do at the moment.

"Maybe later, I'm starved," I said.

"Oh, okay. I got some red velvet cupcakes for your homecoming. Would you like any Edward?" Renee said.

"No thanks. I ate on the plane," Edward denied politely. I grinned internally knowing that in reality Edward didn't eat anything. Renee began to walk into the kitchen but stopped when I didn't follow.

"Aren't you coming sweetheart?" she asked.

"Um yeah, let me just hang my coat up," I answered.

"Okay. Then come along Charlie you can help me get the cupcakes out."

"Why does it take two people to get cupcakes," Charlie muttered to himself but followed her anyway. I sighed and turned to Edward.

"I'll take your things upstairs," he said and then kissed my forehead. Edward grabbed all of my bags and ran, human pace, upstairs. Meanwhile I shrugged off my coat and hooked it on the coat rack near the door. I then turned and walked in the kitchen. I saw that Renee had Charlie setting small plates and silverware that I'm sure she bought, while she was placing the cupcakes on the small plates. Looks like Renee had gotten into eating cupcakes the gourmet way. Apparently Renee heard me come in because she looked up from what she was doing.

"Bella I hope you're hungry because I seem to have over ordered the..." Renee stopped mid-sentence and stared at me wide eyed. I looked at her wondering why she had stopped. Sensing something wrong Charlie stopped what he was doing and looked up.

"Is there something wrong because I..." then Charlie stopped mid-sentence. Both of them were looking at me now leaving me utterly confused. "Bella what is that?" I looked at him confused for a moment and then realized that my necklace was showing. Edward joined us a second. I glance up at him while Charlie and Renee continued to stare at me. I took a deep breath.

"We need to talk."

There you have it. Chapter one. I'm not sure when I'll be able to pop out the next chapter but your reviews will be helpful.
