Albus was aware of the cuse hitting his chest, and then… nothing.
So this is death? What all men are so afraid of…
He could not see, but then, he did not want to. He felt warm and light and comfortable, and was pleasantly aware of his body and his soul parting company.
He was at the seashore where he had gone on vacation as a child. Albus was confused at first as to why this should be the place he arrived after death. But then he saw his parents, his brother, and, waving, his little sister, and he no longer cared why.
