Two beers and he's doing karaoke. ~ Dean talking about Sam in 1.15, "The Benders"

At first, Dean wasn't sure how to react.

Should he laugh his ass off – which was his initial reaction – and just enjoy the impromptu show? Or should he rescue his little brother from the tiny stage and prevent the kid from making a complete fool of himself?

Decisions, decisions...

Dean shook his head, not surprised that Sam couldn't hold his liquor – only two beers, and this is what the kid does? – and also not surprised that his brother had managed to get into this situation in the span of time it took Dean to take a piss.

Dean sighed and then nodded encouragingly at Sam when his brother looked in his direction.

Sam grinned and then refocused on the small television screen that was facing him.

Dean approached the small stage – because this was going to be good – and took a swig of beer, almost choking when the unmistakable cowbell introduced Sam's song choice.

The crowd in the bar went wild.

"I met a gin-soaked barroom queen in Memphis..." Sam began, actually sounding pretty decent.

Dean chuckled and shook his head, amused and surprisingly proud of his adorably drunk little brother.

By the time Sam got to the chorus, the bar had erupted into a concert-like atmosphere; people holding their arms in the air and singing at the top of their lungs; a couple of girls actually jumping onstage with Sam to help him sing about his honky tonk women blues.

Sam looked momentarily startled to have company but then kept singing, smiling at Dean as the girls wrapped their arms around his shoulders and leaned into the microphone Sam held.

Dean winked and nodded his approval at his little brother. "That's my boy," he praised and took another swig of beer.
