Author's note: Well, I've been watching Heat Guy J lately, and although I only seen the first three episodes, I thought I'd give it a try. (Making a fanfic of it, that is.) Since I'd have to wait a week to watch the fourth one, this is most likely to suck, so feel free to change your mind.
Two guys were sitting on a bench in the middle of the city. One had purple hair and a head band, another had black hair and a gray hat. Daisuke and J walked past them both. The purple head and the black haired guy looked at each other.
"There they are, Joe." said the purple head.
"I see them, Suki." said who we now know as Joe. Said Suki got up from the bench and took a batch of money out his pocket.
"Joe, that blonde head never seems to get hurt. His android saves him from everything. 500 bucks says you can't kill him before the robot comes by." Said Joe smiled. He slowly took a gun out his pocket.
"It's a bet." he laughed. He pointed the gun happily at Daisuke. Suki stopped him.
"Not yet, you idiot! The robot's there!" J turned around and noticed Joe holding the gun. He grabbed Daisuke and guarded him.
"Put the weapon down!" J commanded. Joe did so and put the gun back in his pocket.
"I was just showing him, sir!" Joe convinced. Suki rolled his eyes and walked away.
"Why were you showing him?" asked J.
"Don't worry about it. You know how people show off guns like kids show off games." said Dais, who was still in J's arms. "Plus, you can let me go now." J did so. They turned around and walked away.
Suki walked back up to Joe.
"See what I mean? Never gets hurt!" he snapped. Joe shrugged.
"I'll get that money, and kill Daisuke. Trust me." he laughed.
The next day, Daisuke was talking to Monica , the photographer. Joe was up in a building witha rifle.
"No J today." he giggled. He pointed the gun directly at him and pulled the trigger.
"Daisuke Aurora!" yelled J, coming out of nowhere and grabbing him. The gun shots fired, but no one got hit. J let Dais go and looked around.
"Where is he?" asked Dais.
"He ran off." J answered.
"What the hell was that?" asked Monica.
"A shooting, what'd you think?" said Dais.
"Okay, don't be a smart ass!" snapped Monica.
"Are you two all right?" asked J. Dais and Monica nodded. "Let's go home."
Kyoko already heard about the shooting and was glad that Dais and J were alright. Mostly Dais.
"What happened out there?" she asked.
"Nothing, just people being people." Dais cracked.
"Those 'people being people' almost killed you." J remarked.
"I know. They almost did that a lot of times."
The next day, Joe decided he'd try to kill Dais from a different area. He was going to kill him on the streets, only except when Dais came out, J was right next to him.
"Oh well, I'll avoid the robot." he claimed, pointing the gun at Dais. "Wait, I might want to try something different at this point. This could double the wager. I'll use the robot to bounce the bullet to the kid." He cordinated the bullet in his head. The bullet was going to bounce off J, then to the metal of a building, then to another, after that, it should hit Dais.
He went for the shot. Off J it went. To the building it went. To the next building.
"J!" cried Daisuke. It slapped J in the face.
"Ouch." he muttered.
"Are you all right, J?" asked Daisuke.
"I'm fine, Daisuke. Are you all right?" Dais looked up and nodded. "It's dangerous out here."
"I know. I feel cursed. Everytime I go out, someone tries to shoot me."
"Let's not go out for a while." The two friends went home and waited for a good time to go back out. To pass the time, they just did they're job, investigating signs of future crimes. For once, nothing seemed to be going on and the only future crime there seemed to be was Daisuke's death.
Joe was ready to give up his task. He scraped up some money for Suki since he lost the bet. Meanwhile, Dais felt the need for air.
"I don't think you should go out there." Kyoko commented. "They could kill you. Have you even thought to investigate who's trying to kill you?" Dais shook his head.
"I really don't care. People just being people, I told you." he responded.
"Should I go with you?" asked J.
"Naw. Actually, I have an idea."
"What would that be?" asked Kyoko.
"I'm going to let them shoot me."
"What?" screamed Kyoko and J.
"Yeah, from the last incident, I don't even think this guy is trying. He could've killed me if he wanted to."
"Where's this getting to, Daisuke?" asked J.
"I'm saying, if I go out there and make him believe I'm dead, he'll stop shooting, taking the risk of hurting others, and I can get my fresh air whenever I want. Just let him shoot me. I'll be fine." he walked out the door happily. Kyoko and J just looked at each other.
"Think he'll be all right?" asked Kyoko, breaking the silence.
"A man's instinct is usually correct." J responded. Kyoko shrugged and looked at the door.
"I sure hope so." she thought. While Joe was walking to Suki, he noticed that Dais was out on the street again.
"Now is my chance!" he cheered.
"Ah, Dais, your back and alive!" cheered Shogen. (I pray to God that's what his name is.)
"What are you wearing?" asked Dais. Shogen turned around. He was in a metal suit, even his face was covered up. All you seen was his eyes.
"I'm protecting myself. I saw you coming on the way, I didn't want to get shot." he answered.
"I'm just going to pretend I didn't see that."
"So how are you today?"
"I'm fine. I haven't seen the shooter so far, so I think it's safe to take your suit off." J was coming down from the air, ready to save Dais again. He couldn't help himself.
"I'm not taking this off..." Shogen looked down and noticed someone in his presence besides Dais. It was Joe. He hopped up and quickly shot Dais twice.
"Daisuke!" yelled J in consern. Dais was out.
"Yes! I'm getting 500 bucks!" cheered Joe, running away with the gun. J would've went after him, but Dais was more important at the time.
Later that day, it turned out that it was only a flesh wound. He was shot in the shoulder.
"I'm so glad you're all right, Daisuke!" cheered Kyoko.
"I too am glad." said J.
"Sorry for scaring you two. At least the shooter's gone." said Dais.
"It's a good thing it was just a flesh wound. You would've died if it wasn't and I would've failed you." said J.
"What matters is that you tried, J." Dais cleared.
"Yeah, but what if you go out and the shooter sees you again? You're supposed to be dead." Kyoko pointed out.
"Oh yeah. Oops. Well, I tried."
"He could've killed you, Daisuke." J repeated. Dais rolled his eyes.
"It's okay, J. You tried to save me, but I got shot anyway. I tried to stop the shooter, but he'll keep shooting eventually anyway. We're even."
"So...you got shot for nothing?" grunted Kyoko. Dais shugged.
"Hey, I should be more mad about that then you." he responded. "But at least I tried, right J?"
"Uh...right, Daisuke." said J.
"A man's insticts are usually correct." Kyoko quoted.
Author's note: That's it! Didnt' this suck? If it did, it's your fault you wasted a minute of your life reading it. And it's my fault for wasting a minute of my life typing it. Jk. I hope you liked it. Review me!
