A/N: On one of the tumblrs I run, Twinings and I offered ourselves up for one full week of filling fic prompts for our readers, varying in length from a hundred to a thousand-plus words. The project has been dubbed the Free For All Fic For All—or FFAFFA for short. This is one of those stories—and this is the boilerplate author's note you'll see on all of 'em.

Prompt: Two-Face and Scarecrow share a cell for the day.


Ting. Fwit-fwit-fwit-fwit-fwap!

The lump in the upper bunk shifts, a small, irritable, sleepy grunt the only thing indicating its movement.

Ting. Fwit-fwit-fwit-fwit-fwap!

The blanket is displaced as a restless, spindly leg in prison grays kicks it aside.

Ting. Fwit-fwit-fwit-fwit-fwap!

The lump moves, holding the lonely, solitary pillow over its head, trying in vain to block out the noise.

Ting. Fwit-fwit-fwit-fwit-fwap!

A bloodshot eye rolls in its socket, fixing its glare on the wall opposite its owner's bunk. The true subject of his ire is out of sight, nestled snugly in the bunk below; the wall will have to do.

Ting. Fwit-fwit-fwit-fwit-fwap!

"Dent," Crane grinds out from between teeth clenched with annoyance, "what could you possibly be trying to decide at this hour?"
