"I love you," I murmured, as his lips pulled away from mine. He smiled down at me, and I couldn't resist. I leaned forward again, locking my mouth onto his.

This time he broke away.

"You know we shouldn't," he said in his low, seductive voice. He was breathing heavily now, as was I, but I tried to keep my voice husky.

"I love you. Why should anything else matter?" I fell into his arms again. I seemed to fit perfectly in his embrace. I closed my eyes and sighed contentedly.

"There are complications. You know that better than anyone, Buffy," he said, as he started to get up from the bed.

"No, I don't believe that!" I yelled suddenly, grabbing onto his hand.

"You know I can't do this, Buffy. When you hold onto me, nothing else in the world matters. Let me do the right thing for once in my sorry life."

I stared up at the demon, trying to hold back my tears.

"We've been down this road before. You're the slayer, and I'm-"

"No, you're a wonderful man- er… whatever. You are kind and considerate and handsome. You are the only one who knows my favorite shows and foods, and you get along with my friends and sister."

He gave me a hard look.

"Kind of. Mostly. But it doesn't even matter. Because they'll just have to accept that I'm happy with you. Not with Xander or the others, but with you. You're the only one I've ever wanted."

He sat back down onto the bed and sighed, shaking his head.

"And you're the only one I've ever wanted, as long as I've walked this earth. You're special, Buffy, and spending time with me is-"

"Perfect. Don't you dare say anything but perfect, Mister." I pulled him down onto my lap. He fit there perfectly, like we were made for each other.

"I love you, Buffy. Gosh, I can't resist you. I don't want to resist you. I'm bad, baby, and I'll show you how bad I can be." He smirked his devilish half-smile and winked.

I took a deep breath and leaned in close, "there's the demon I fell in love with."

"Buffy?" he asked after a while.

"Yes?" I asked, leaning on his shoulder, cuddled up on his bed.

"Do you ever wish you were back with a vampire?"

"No, Clem, no, I don't."
