A/N...Thanks to Kathryn for reading...love ya girl! Don't own anything...not even 2 pennies to rub together! Lint maybe...but that's all I own.
Fiona was having a lazy Saturday. Michael was helping Jesse with a client and then he was going to meet with Pearce. It was about three in the afternoon when her phone rang.
"Michael, I wasn't expecting your call until closer to dinner. I was going to tell you that I wanted to go someplace fancy tonight so I can show off my new dress." Fiona said as she leafed through the latest issue of her favorite gun magazine.
"My meetings ended early. Before I come get your for dinner, I'm just going to stop off at my Mom's. I haven't seen her since I got back from Peru."
Fiona's eyes opened wide. Her heart began to race wildly. "Where are you right now Michael?"
"I am sitting in my car outside Mom's house. Why?"
"No reason. I have to go, I'll see you later." Fiona hung up the phone and texted Sam.
M outside of house...coming in NOW.
Sam didn't hear the text message come through on his phone. He was sitting on the couch, in his boxers, watching a baseball game with Maddie. She was snuggling next to him. Sam jumped as he heard the door open.
"Mikey! What are you doing here? I thought you were still in Peru with Pearce for another week."
"I got back Wednesday. I didn't call you because Fii said you had a new lady friend and it was pretty serious, so I thought I would give you some time alone." Michael took off his sunglasses, looked Sam in the face and asked "Sam, where are your pants?"
Sam looked down. "My pants...good question. Um, you see..." Maddie stood up and stood next to Sam. Sam wrapped his arms around Maddie and kissed Maddie on her head. "Mikey, your mom is my new lady friend. In fact, I hope she's my lady for a long, long time." Sam said very quickly, hoping there was not much pain involved on his end when Michael reacted.
They could tell Michael was in shock. Maddie sat down on the couch and motioned for Michael to sit with her. He sat down and she began to speak. "I know its a shock, but I have to tell you, I have never been healthier or happier! Did you know I haven't smoked in nearly three weeks? Sam's been cooking for me nearly every meal."
Sam joined their conversation. "Would you believe I have been going to water aerobics with your Mom every week and I am down to having two beers a day? I've dropped fifteen pounds since I started seeing your mom. We both hope you aren't mad about this but even if you are, ol' Sammy is here for the long haul."
Michael looked at Sam and Maddie as they held hands, smiling at one another. He never remembered his mother looking so calm, relaxed and happy. "Mom, if you are happy and this is what you want, then I am happy for you. Just don't expect me to him 'Daddy'."
When Michael arrived at the loft, Fiona was sitting in the kitchen cleaning her gun. He walked in and said "So, how long have you known about my Mom and Sam?"
Fiona winced. "I think it was the day after you left for Peru. "
"You didn't think that maybe that was information I needed to know?"
"It was strictly Sam and your mother's decision to tell you when they were ready. I wanted to tell you but they swore me to secrecy! "
Michael took fiona in his arms and kissed her. "I told them it was ok. Mom looked so happy, that I just had to push aside whatever I was feeling and let them be happy."
"They really are a cute couple. I am happy for them. I expected you more upset though."
"After seeing how miserably my father treated her, I'm happy someone is showing her love. Nate has Ruth, I have you, so why shouldn't she have someone to love her."
Fiona kissed her true love and whispered "You are a good man Michael Westen and I love you for that."
