Present:

Danny POV

"Are you nuts?" I shrieked.

Sam flinched. "Danny, it's not a big deal. You did it, didn't you?"

"Do you know how dangerous this is, Sam?" I asked her, ignoring her question.

She looked down. "I don't care."

I narrowed my eyes at her. "I do."

2 Days Earlier...

Danny POV

"My name is Tucker Foley, that's T.F as in Too Fine," Tucker said, trying to flirt with this girl named Mia. Apparently, it was working.

Mia smiled flirtaciously at him. "I can see why they call you that." She ruffled his hair and walked away.

Sam snickered. "Tuck's got a new girlfriend."

I laughed, while Tuck blushed. "Shut up guys," he whined.

We walked towards the Nasty Burger, now 17, and I glanced at my best friends.

Tuck actually grew some hair, got a new hat, and lost the glasses. He was pretty built from all the ghost hunting, not in a weird way.

I'm pretty built, too. Not saying I have a big ego or anything.

And Sam... holy crap, Sam is even more beautiful than ever. She now wears baggy black jeans with a chain on them, and a black off-the-shoulder top. Her hair is pin straight, and goes to the middle of her back. Her side bangs cover one eye.

Sam glanced at me. "Um, Danny?"

"Yeah?" I asked, snapping out of my daze.

"Why are you staring at me?" She smiled.

"Uh... I wasn't.."

Tuck snorted. "Yeah, okay." I narrowed my eyes and punched his arm.

"Ow!" he said, glaring at me and rubbing his arm.

We came out of the Nasty Burger with sodas, walking towards the park.

The next day, Sam, Tuck, Mia, and I were down in the lab. Mia was flirting with Tucker, while Sam was staring at the Ghost Portal.

"Uh, Sam?"

She snapped out of her daze. "Yeah, Danny?"

"You okay?"

Sam just nodded, looking back at the Portal.

"Kids! Time for school!" Mom shouted down to us. We groaned, then headed off towards Caspar High.

O.o.O.o.O.o.O.o.O.o.O.o.O.o.O.o.O. TIME SKIP! o.O.o.O.o.O.o.O.o.O.o.O.o.O

"Get away from her, Baxter," I growled at Dash, who was currently trying to flirt with Sam.

He yanked her towards him by her wrist, and she screamed.

I went over, grabbed Sam by the waist, and twisted Dash's arm behind his back, making him yelp. I pulled her away from the scene and walked us to my house. When we got there, we went up to my room.

"You okay?"

She smiled at me. "Yeah, thanks."

"My pleasure."

Sam bit her lip. "Hey, Danny?"

"Yeah, Sam?"

"Um.. please don't be angry but.. I.."

"You...?" I trailed off.

"I... want ghost powers.." I blinked. Then again. And a third time, until -

"I do."

"Danny, I feel like I don't help you enough. Besides, it's my fault half of you.. d-died.. it's only fair that half of me does, too!"

I growled at her, then pinned her underneath me on the floor. "First of all, you're a huge help to me; you always patch me up. Second, it is not your fault. I love my powers. And third of all, it is not fair that half of you.. d-dies.. I can't live with that, Sam! I love you so much, Sam, it would kill me to see you go through that." My eyes widened at what I just said.

Sam smiled. "You.. you love me?"

I nodded. "Sam, you're my life. I can't live without you." With that said, I leaned down and captured my lips with hers. At first, it was soft and gentle. And then it became more needy, me sliding my tongue along her lower lip, asking for entrance. She complied, and my tongue battled with hers for dominance. I eventually won, and pulled away.

"I love you, too, Danny."

I grinned. "No ghost powers, alright?"

She kissed my cheek. "Agreed."
