"Oh my, Glob. Don't look."

"Why not?"

"I look hideous."

"It can't be that bad."

"See for yourself! Wait, no, I didn't mean that! Don't look!"

"Fionna-"

"Marshall Lee, I'm serious. I'll bust your chops if you turn around."

"I'm counting to three, and when I do, I'm going to turn around and you'll look amazing. One."

"No! Marshall Lee, I'm not kidding!"

"Two …"

"Stop! No, please don't! Your eyes will probably burn right out of your skull!"

"Three."

Marshall Lee turned quickly on his heel, convinced that Fionna was being absolutely ridiculous about the situation and the sight before him was not only bright and shimmery and blinding, but it was beautiful and breathtaking, leaving him speechless.

"I told you not to look," Fionna grumbled, pushing her hair which was the same consistency of spun gold back behind her ears, and it cascaded down her back like a waterfall of sunshine, her favorite bunny hat long forgotten. Her eyes were glossy and so big and blue that Marshall Lee wouldn't have minded spending the rest of his eternity in them.

Instead of wearing her usual snug blue sweater and skirt, LSP had loaned her a silky white gown that flowed graceful around her like a blanket made of snow. It cinched at the waist and was cut low enough to reveal just the right amount of her freckled skin that made Marshall Lee's toes curl.

"You're silly," He said, finally learning how to use his vocal chords again, and he took a hesitant step forward, afraid so ruin the moment, he was suddenly walking on eggshells. "You look … beautiful."

"For realzees?" Fionna glanced up at him shyly, her creamy cheeks turning bright red, and Marshall Lee couldn't stop himself, taking another step closer, so close he could inhale the scent of her vanilla perfume, temptation had possessed him and he planted a quick, sweet kiss on her forehead.

Something in his heart bumped, and he like the way kissing Fionna made him feel. He liked the way she made him feel. It was like a warm, fuzzy wave that crept up his spine like a little ninja and sank itself into his heart.

Marshall Lee was heating up from the inside out, and he loved every second of it.

"Stop staring at me like that, you're making me nervous." Fionna's blush had yet to fade, and she fiddled with the strap little matching pocketbook on her shoulder.

"I'm sorry," Marshall Lee's stomach tingled the moment he slid his palm in hers; she was warm to the touch. "It's just that, I've lived an awfully long time, and … I've never loved someone as much as I love you."

Fionna's hand curled around his, and the other reached up to the smooth blueish skin of his neck, fingers grazing his identical scars lightly, and she stood on her tiptoes just so she could bring her face closer to his and-

"Come on, you guys! Get the lump in the car! Melissa is probably smooching the lumps off of Brad this very moment and junk!"

The undeniably screechy voice of LSP filled the space between them even though they had asked her to wait in the car patiently, and she totally just destroyed the moment, but Marshall Lee's mood never faltered.

He'd have an eternity to love Fionna.

Hey, guys! Ali here. Um, yeah, my inspiration for this was that I was just wondering what it would be like if Fionna and Marshall Lee ever went to prom together and POOF! this happened.

Yeah, and I feel like the theme song for this would probably have to be A Thousand Years by Christina Perry. That song also helped a ton with the inspiration. Listen to it if you already haven't!

To me, it fits. Yes? No? Maybe so? Eh. Whatever.

Reviews are wonderful!
