This is my first story so don't be to critical. I enjoy constructive critisism but don't be too harsh. Review please.
It's been three years since long-lost twin sisters, Ivy and Olivia, had met when they were thirteen. Ivy and Brendon are still madly in love and Olivia's movie-star boyfriend, Jackson Caulfield, is in Australia shooting a new movie. Although they are on opposite sides of the world, Olivia and Jackson keep in touch by texting every day. Olivia is slightly paranoid that Jackson will not stay faithful, but at the same time, she trusts him with all her life.
"Why won't he text me back," I whispered during the middle of Chemistry….or so I thought I whispered.
"Olivia. Care to explain who you are texting and why you are texting them in the middle of class." Mr. Peirce said, quite sternly and loud.
"I-I was j-j-just talking to my b-b-boyfriend-" I stammered, but was crudely interrupted by Mr. Peirce.
"OH. So it was your little BOYFRIEND! Of course, why didn't I see this before!" He said with an "I-knew-it-all-along" type of voice.
"But you don't understand. He's Jackson Caulfield and he's in Australia shooting a movie and this the only time I can talk to him." I pleaded.
"I don't care who he is or what he's doing or where he is. I will take your cell-phone and I will see you in detention after school." He said as he held out his hand as a gesture for me to put my phone in it.
I reluctantly gave him my phone, and he went back to teaching the lesson. I rested my chin on the palm of my hand and didn't pay attention to Mr. Peirce at all. I just sat there worrying about Jackson. What was he doing? Why wasn't he texting me back? Is he cheating?
No. Don't think of that. He wouldn't do that. I should trust him enough not to do that. But why don't I? We've been together for three years and he hasn't done anything to hurt me…..yet…
The bell rang for lunch. I picked up my stuff and went to my locker. Ivy was standing at her locker right next to mine.
"Hey Ivy." I said as cheerfully as I could but I guess I had a little bit of disappointment in my voice.
"What wrong. Is Jackson not texting you back again?" she said in a mocking sad voice.
"Yes. But I also have detention and got my phone taken away."
"Oh…I'm sorry," she said as she turned around to find Brendon standing behind her.
"Hey," he said in a seductive voice as he cocked his eyebrow.
"Hey," said Ivy as she cocked her eyebrow, mimicking her boyfriend's action.
They both laughed and Brendon pecked at Ivy's cheek.
I went back to rummaging through her locker. I couldn't stand to see them be happy together when my boyfriend was on the other side of the world. Possibly cheating on me.
"Hey Olivia," it was Camilla, my best friend. Other than my sister of course.
"Hey Camilla," I said again in my fake cheery voice.
"So, are we going to lunch soon or are we just gonna stand here until the period's over?" Camilla said holding her stomach, "I'm starving!"
"Great idea. Hey, have you guys seen Sophia anywhere?" Ivy said, looking around for her best friend.
"I heard she has the flu." Said Camilla.
"Well then let's get to lunch." Said Brendon, grabbing Ivy's hand.
We walked to the cafeteria and sat down at a table. I still couldn't stop thinking about Jackson. Again, I ask myself the same questions. What was he doing? Why wasn't he texting me back? Is he cheating? Those questions kept running through my mind all day.
