Matthew sat quietly at his window, watching the soft, white snow fall slowly. His thoughts drifted back to last night. All the gentle kisses and loving touches. The looks of complete devotion and adoration shared between him and his lover. He missed that sorely. The house just never felt the same when his love left for work each day. It felt empty and too quiet, save for the soft lull of the television and light snoring from his bear, Kumajiro.

Letting out a soft sigh, he looked up at the clock. It was 5:30; almost time for his lover to come home. Matthew stood and made his way to the kitchen to start his favorite dinner of pancakes and maple syrup.

When he was done, Matthew set them off to the side and gazed out of the kitchen window. He took in how the fluffy white snow contrasted again the dark green of the tall pine trees. He was so absorbed into the scenery to hear the front door opening. He jumped when he felt a pair of strong arms wrap around his waist. He turned his head halfway and came face to face with his boyfriend, Gilbert.

"Well hello there pretty Birdie" Gilbert said, smiling.

Matthew turned completely around in his love's arms smiling shyly at him.

"H-hey, Gilly. How was work? He asked softly.

"Tch, boring and long as always" Gil scoffed, "but seeing you just made my day so much better".

"Y-yeah it was boring without you too, but it's better now that you're here"

"Hey, c'mon Birdie, let's skip dinner for now and take a short nap"

Without waiting for an answer, he swept up Matthew bridal style and ran upstairs. Falling gently onto the bed, Gilbert hovered over Matthew, planting sweet kisses all over his cheeks, lips, and neck. Matthew kissed back every place he could reach just as eager.

Gilbert held Mattie close as he rolled over. He nuzzled into the soft, feathery hair of the blond on top of him. Mattie buried his face into Gil's strong muscled chest, smiling. He planted more kisses on his love's hair, sighing contently.

"I love you Birdie. So, so much."

"I love you too Gilly. Nothing ever feels like home, unless you're there."

He smiled down at Mattie, eyes filled with complete love, as he kissed him once more on the lips.

"My sweet baby, My beautiful, sweet, loving, perfect angel" Gill whispered softly into Mattie's ear, gently rubbing his back. He tightened his hold on Mattie, bringing him as close as possible, slowly drifting off to sleep.
