~ Sorry for not updating this story in a long time. This is one of the four stories I don't have much muse for at the moment... but hopefully that will change. That all depends on your reviews...
~ I've been focusing more on the season 4 for Chelsea (which is finished) and I've been focusing more on 'The Salvatore Sister' (which has just started season 2) and 'The Other Hybrid' (which is finished).
~ There was some parts that I was going to have in this chapter, but I decided to leave them out so I could update quicker.
I woke up pretty early, which was strange. After a little bit, I got up from my bed, took a shower, put clothes on, and went downstairs. My mom was cooking breakfast and my dad was sitting, drinking a cup of coffee.
"Good morning." I said to them, feeling like everything was normal.
"Morning." My dad said. "How did you sleep?"
"Good." I said with a small smile. "Everything is starting to feel normal again." I noticed my mom smiled as she flipped a pancake.
"Then you can start your chores again." My dad said, which made me look towards him. "Starting with cutting the lawn."
"But it's raining." I said as I glanced out the window. My dad chuckled a little.
"When it's done raining." My dad said with a smile.
After breakfast, I did the dishes and the three of us sat in the living room to watch a movie. At the same time, I also worked on some of my homework. It was a family moment that I personally felt was needed. My parents both had the day of of work which gave us the perfect day. It would be a little better if it was sunny, but I wasn't complaining. My phone starting ringing and when I checked who it was, I rolled my eyes.
"What do you want Damon?" I asked as I held my phone to my ear while continuing my homework.
"Stefan's missing." He said, which made me take a break from my homework.
"What do you mean missing?"
"It means he hasn't come back from his hunting." He said with some impatience.
"Have you looked for him?" I asked as I stood up, which made my parent's look at me.
"No, it hasn't occurred to me Chelsea." I could hear the sarcasm in his voice.
"Um... how about I could do a locator spell?" I asked when I was out of my parent's earshot. They didn't like Damon because he killed me, so they probably wouldn't want me helping him. "I'd need your blood or something of Stefan's in order to do it." There was a knock at the door and I could figure out who it was. I hung up my phone and opened the door to see Damon already on the other side.
"What's he doing here?" I could hear my dad ask.
"Something to do with Stefan." I said. "He needs my help dad. It'll only take a few minutes."
"I give you ten minutes before he has to leave." My dad said, which didn't surprise me. He wasn't one for the supernatural, despite my mom, my brother and I all being witches. I looked at Damon and nodded my head towards the stairs so he would follow me up to my room.
I opened the door to my room and went straight for my main grimoire, which would tell me how to do the locator spell. My mom and my brother were the only ones to do it... but it would be quick for me to do it.
"Nice room." Damon said and I wasn't sure what he meant by that. I couldn't help but realize that it was his first time in my room. "Never thought you were a Twilight fan."
"There's a lot of things about me you don't know." I said before trying to find a map of the city. My mind was focusing on the things I needed for the spell, otherwise I'd be more talkative with Damon. "I think this is it." I said, mainly to myself when I found a map. Out the corner of my eye, I could see Damon watching as I put the map over my desk. "This is a map of the city." I said to him before picking up my grimoire from my bed. "Once I find the spell, I know I'll only need a little bit of your blood. Because you and Stefan are brothers... I should be able to find him." Damon didn't say anything as I eventually found the spell. "All you need to do is put some of your blood on the map, just a little bit." I watched Damon as he bit into his hand and let a few drops of his blood fall onto the map. I glanced at the spell before looking at the map. My mind focused on the spell and finding Stefan. In a few seconds, Damon's blood started moving. It eventually stopped and I knew what it was covering. "That's where the tomb vampires are staying." I said, mainly to myself even though Damon could hear me. "Why would they want Stefan?"
"Revenge." Damon said, which made me look at him. "Let's go."
"Why am I going with you?" I asked after he took a step towards the hall. "I have homework to do...unless you can convince my parents." Damon looked frustrated and I let out a sigh. "Unless I can convince them. My dad doesn't exactly like you even though my mom is warming up to you."
"And you?" He asked with a smirk and I rolled my eyes.
"Let's focus on getting your brother back first." I turned away from him so I could put my grimoire away. The truth was I was warming up to him, despite the fact that he killed me. It wasn't something I was going to tell him, at least not at the moment.
After I made sure the grimoire was put away and the map cleaned from blood, I went downstairs. My parents looked towards me and I knew Damon was behind me.
"I know we were having a family day, but Stefan's in trouble." I said, trying to leave out the part about the tomb vampires. They knew about the tomb vampires, but I didn't want them to worry. "Can I help him?" My mom looked at my dad and I knew he didn't want me to. My mom knew I could handle myself if anything happened, but my dad was more worried and protective of me.
"If you wear your coat." My mom said, even though I could tell my dad still didn't like the idea. I gave my mom a small smile before getting my coat from my room. When I was back downstairs, my dad looked at me.
"When you get back, you have to finish your homework." I just nodded my head at my dad before following Damon out.
I went with Damon when he let Elena know what was going on. After she came with us, Damon wanted to make sure Stefan was actually in the farmhouse. I stayed in the car with Elena while Damon checked. My spell was right because Fredrick and the other vampires were torturing him. The two of them came up with the idea to have Alaric help because apparently he was a hunter. When he got Alaric to agree to help, he prepared us with weapons before going to the farmhouse.
Damon and I stood outside the back door. I was already invited in, but I was waiting for Alaric to open the back door. Once that happened, I would step through and try to help Alaric. After a few minutes, Alaric opened the back door. I stepped through, but Damon was stuck outside because he wasn't invited in.
"Oh, I'm sorry. He's not allowed in the house." Mrs. Gibbons said to Alaric about Damon.
"I know that. But you've gotta make an exception." Alaric said.
"Pearl said she wants him invited in." I said to her, because I didn't want her to die. "They're friends."
"Come on in." She said to Damon.
"Pearl also said that you have to go grocery shopping for a hour." She walked out the house without Damon touching her. "You're welcome." I whispered to Damon
"Get out of the house, we can take it from here." Damon said before Alaric reluctantly left.
Damon and I hid until one of the vampires came into the room. Damon killed him and we slowly started to go around the house. I wasn't the best fighter, so I used my magic to give the vampires aneurysms. It stopped them long enough for Damon to either take out their hearts or stake them. A few he injected with vervain, which sent them down and would keep them down until we got out of the house.
I broke away from Damon and snuck downstairs to find Stefan since I could tell he wasn't on the first floor. It wasn't too hard to sneak around the basement considering it was small and there was only one vampire standing guard. I managed to get into a room and I saw Stefan tied by some ropes.
"Stefan." I said as I stepped up to him.
"Chelsea... what are you doing here?" He asked with hoarseness in his voice.
"Helping Damon, Elena, and Alaric by getting you out of here." I said to Stefan before touching the ropes that were around his wrists. They burned me and I knew that there was vervain on them. I could hear the door behind me open and when I looked it was Damon with Elena in front of him. Out the corner of my eye, I noticed Harper tied to a chair and that took my attention.
"Harper." I said as I went towards him.
"Chelsea..." He said my name and I knew it was because Anna told him. "Does Anna know you're here?" He asked as I took the pieces of wood out of his legs. I just shook my head before going to the ropes that were tying his wrists together.
When he was free, I turned my attention back to the others. Stefan was already free and in Elena's arms. He looked weak, which meant he needed to get out of the house.
"Can you get him in the car?" Damon asked Elena after we stepped out of the room.
"Yeah." She said and I couldn't help but have a small smile.
"All right, go." Damon said to her.
"What about you two?" Elena asked and I was glad that she was somewhat concerned about both of us.
"You rescue, we'll distract. Go." Elena started to walk away with Stefan before Damon turned to me. "Can you handle more?" He asked with some concern, which surprised me. Damon was the one to kill me but at the moment I couldn't really think of that because the other vampires could kill me.
"I'll be fine." I said to him before we both went back up the stairs.
Damon and I hid in a room while we waited for other vampires to go through. The plan was I'd use my magic to give them aneurysms and while they were suffering from that, Damon would inject them with vervain if he could. If he couldn't, I made him agree to snapping their neck... or at least try to. Some of the vampires were nice, except for Frederick. I could tell a vampire was in the hall, but I didn't know who it was. I still gave them an aneurysm and Damon took advantage of it. As I listened in, I figured out it was Fredrick. I stepped into the hall, only to be stabbed in the side by one of the other vampires. It broke my concentration on Fredrick, which made him attack Damon as I fell to the ground. I was going to attack the vampire who stabbed me, but they went to help Fredrick. As I slowly stood up, Alaric attacked the others by shooting them.
"I'm going after Frederick!" Damon said before he started to go away from us.
"Are you okay?" Alaric asked and I just gave him a nod before a vampire started to attack him. I gave the vampire an aneurysm, which gave Alaric the opportunity to stab him with a vervain dart.
"Are you okay?" I asked Alaric since he was only human. He nodded his head and after a few second Damon came back.
"Frederick's gone." Damon said, which made me think he used his speed to look for Fredrick.
"Let's get out of here." Alaric said and I nodded my head because I hoped I wouldn't be in the house when Anna got back.
"I'm gonna kill him." Damon said and I knew who he was talking about.
The three of us walked out of the house to see a lot of the tomb vamps walking towards us in the rain.
"How many of those vervain darts do you have left?" Damon asked Alaric.
"One." Alaric said and I stopped myself from groaning.
"Not gonna be enough." Damon said and I took a small step forward.
"That might not matter." I said before focusing on the vampires in front of us. They started to groan in pain from the aneurysms I was giving them. I started to feel weak because of how much power I was using on all of them. It was easy for me to use it on one or two vampires, but not on the number of vamps that were in front of us. I felt myself start to fall backwards, but I felt Damon's hands on my sides. "I tried."
"Come on, let's go." He said before we went back into the house. I stayed near Damon, just incase I would get weak again.
"So, what you said to get me to do this, about my wife. It was a lie, wasn't it?" Alaric asked Damon.
"Yep." Damon said before the front door opened. Pearl walked in with Anna.
"Chelsea." Anna said with some worry before speeding to my side. 'She must see the blood' I thought as I looked at her.
"Don't worry, I'm fine." I gave her a small smile, hoping it would satisfy her as her mom continued to talk with Damon.
"What's going on here? What did you do?" Pearl asked Damon as she looked around us.
"Me? Your merry little band of vampires spent the day torturing my brother." Damon said.
"We just tried to get him back." I said to her, hoping that she wouldn't be mad with me since I was friends with her daughter.
"Trust me. The parties responsible for this will be dealt with." Pearl said to Damon.
"Our little arrangement doesn't work unless you learn to control them."
"This wasn't supposed to happen."
"Well, it did. If I had a good side...Not a way to get on it." Damon started to leave and I looked at Anna.
"I have to go with him." I said to her, even though I knew she was still concerned about me. "He's my ride and plus my parents know I'm with him." She gave me a nod. "I'll call you later."
"I'll call you if you don't call me." Anna said and I gave her a small smile before following Damon and Alaric out.
After he dropped of Alaric and the others, he drove me to my house. I couldn't help but put my hand over where I got stabbed. It was healed, which made me realize that I was really a vampire. I knew I was, but I guess it really didn't sink in since I was turned. I would never die, never have kids, or anything I wanted to do before I originally wanted to turn. It took me a few minutes to realize that Damon pulled up in front of my house.
"Thanks for helping me with my brother." Damon said, which made me look towards him.
"I'd do the same thing if it was my brother." I honestly told Damon.
"I didn't know you had a brother." He said with some surprise.
"He's older than me, but he lives with his girlfriend." I said, remembering the last conversation I had with my brother Dylan. "Thanks for..uh, driving me home and everything." He just gave me a small nod before I got out of his car.
"I'm glad you're okay." Damon said, which took me by surprise. I turned towards him just in time to see him drive away. I couldn't help but stand in my spot for a few minutes before I eventually walked towards my house.
I slowly walked inside, hoping that my parents wouldn't be up. They would be concerned about what happened if they saw the stain and really mad at Damon.
"That took a long time." My mom said, which made me realize that she was eating in the kitchen with my dad.
"Yeah, there was a few problems but Stefan's safe now." I said with a small smile. "I'm just going to take a shower before I eat if that's okay."
"Don't take too long." My mom said. "You still have homework to do." I gave her a nod and walked up to my room.
When I was in my room, I let out a sigh. My mom didn't say anything about the stain, but maybe she didn't see it. I hoped that was the case because I didn't want to explain why I was bleeding before. I started the shower and while the water was warming up, I drank from one of the blood bags from the small freezer in my closet. After it was empty, I put it with the other empty blood bags before getting some clothes from my dresser and tossing them onto my bed. When I got into the bathroom, I undressed and looked at where I was stabbed. The only thing that would tell you I was stabbed was a little bit of dried blood. 'That will wash away' I thought as I stepped into the shower. The rest of the night, I couldn't help but think about how my life has changed since I arrived in Mystic Falls before the school year started.
~ I tried to have some Damon/Chelsea scenes in this chapter, even though it's different than I originally wanted it. I might be able to have some Damon/Chelsea moments in the next few chapters.
~ I know Damon killed Mrs. Gibbons in the show, but I decided to change that in the story.
~ The next chapter is Under Control then Miss Mystic Falls. What color dresses do you think that Chelsea should wear?
~ Hopefully I can see more helpful reviews on this story. If you read any of my other stories you should know that the bigger/better the reviews and the more I get on a chapter help me get future chapters out faster.
~ I actually have some of the chapter for the first episode of season 2 written because it was in my head and I just needed to write it before I forgot.
~ I hope you check out Out Of Place, which is another story with Chelsea in it and for those of you that haven't read Changes Within, Chelsea will be going to The Originals Spin-off (:
~ I'm not going to update until there are at least 40 reviews on this story. Hopefully they will be helpful reviews (:
~ Hopefully you can check out my other stories. I tend to update the ones that get more reviews, which explains why I haven't updated this story in a long time.
R&R 'till the next update
