James works feverishly through the night, fueled by nicotine and Mozart's Requiem. The costumed characters in the photos swirl around the room, mocking him as their masked ball becomes a Danse Macabre.

He completes the puzzle as Dies Irae begins to play. Judgment Day. "Nothing will remain unpunished." The culprit responsible for Chloe's living death hasn't been punished. Not yet.

When the murderer becomes her own judge and executioner, Dies Irae echoes again in his mind. "The wicked are confounded; consigned to bitter flames."

It's a long time before James can listen to the Requiem without seeing those bitter flames.
