Hello, it's been a while since I've updated and I'm sorry about that. I have had severe writer's block, but today I finally got an idea for the next chapter.

It's been a couple of weeks since Evan and I did our assignment in Mrs. Black's class and I still can't believe he hasn't tried to sabotage us for popularity yet. That may sound harsh, but what I else should I expect.

"Hey Cat!" Someone yelled frantically.

I turned and saw Evan Goldman running towards me.

"Hi Evan!" I said.

"Could you help me with something?"

"Okay. You know one time my brother asked me to help him-"

"I haven't got much time, Cat. You can tell me later. This may sound crazy, but my old err friends from Indiana are coming in town for a field trip. Anyway my ex-girlfriend is coming along, would you pretend to be my girlfriend? I would understand if you said no."

OH MY GOD! THEY ARE COMING! I HAVE TO TELL JADE!

I was about to run to her, but then I remembered Evan was right there.

"Why do you need me to be your girly-friend?" I asked adding in a couple giggles at "girly-friend"

"We had a really bad break up. She cheated on me with this guy named Malcolm and I'm trying to show her that I'm over her."

"If you're over her then why do you need me to be your girlfriend?" I said feigning innocence only Cat could get away with.

"I just, uh, um, er, uh-" Evan replied looking flustered.

"Whatever you say, Evan." I said adding a wink and giggling, "I'll be your girlfriend, since your over your ex."

Then I walked over to Jade and Tori leaving Evan looking shocked.

"You're never going to believe this. The people from Appleton are coming here to see Evan!"

"WHAT?!" Jade screamed and then threw her scissors at a random freshman.

"Are you sure that's what he said, Cat?" Tori said.

"Yes, he asked me to be his pretend girlfriend since he had a bad break up with Patrice. She cheated on him with Malcolm."

"Really? Patrice and Malcom? I never though that would happen."

"Focus Jade."

"Wow this is so weird. Jade is getting off topic and Cat is telling her to focus." Tori said to herself.

"Yes, incredibly shocking." Jade said rolling her eyes.

"Why have you always had a problem with me?"

You might be wondering why Jade is still rude to Tori. Ever since Kendra took Brett away from her, she has had trust issues with friends and boyfriends. Especially with Tori and Beck being so close.

"Stop bickering this is serious!"

"Sorry." They both replied.

"You guys go to a performing arts school, I'm sure you can pull of being Cat and Jade like you have for the past 3 years."

"I guess so." said Jade "We have Sikowitz's class in a couple minutes, we can talk about this later."

Sikowitz class seemed to go slowly for the first time I've been in this school. I can't believe I was actually starting to consider Evan to be a friend and then he invites everyone from Dan Quayle High School to LA. The reason why I moved here in the first place was to get away from them and now I have to see them again because of him.

"Hey Cat!"

Speak of the Devil.

"Hi Evan."

"I just wanted to say thanks for agreeing to do this. I got a text from my friend Archie a couple minutes ago that they are coming here during lunch, so after next period."

"Okie Dokie."

They will be here in 40 minutes! Oh God.

"We should probably head to Mrs. Black's class now."

"Yep."

"So, what did your brother ask you to help him with?"

"Oh, he asked me to..."

In Class

"Okay kids, today you will pair up with the same partners you had for your original songs. Do that now." Mrs. Black said while everyone else moved to sit by their partners. "I am going to give you a duet and you have to perform it by the end of the day. You can perform it at the end of class, during lunch, or right before you leave, I just need to hear it today."

"I wonder what song she'll give us." Evan said.

"I hope it's about giraffes."

"Me too." he said with a smile.

"Cat and Evan, you will sing 'It's De-Lovely' from Anything Goes."

"Okay let's get started."

We somehow managed to get it done at the end of the period.

"It seems Cat and Evan are ready to perform their duet. They will be singing 'It's De-Lovely' from Anything Goes."

[Evan]

The night is young, the skies are clear

So if you want to go walking, dear,

It's delightful, it's delicious, it's de-lovely.

I understand the reason why

You're sentimental, 'cause so am I,

It's delightful, it's delicious, it's de-lovely.

You can tell at a glance

What a swell night this is for romance,

You can hear dear Mother Nature

Murmuring low,

"Let yourself go!"

So please be sweet, my chickadee,

And when I kiss you, just say to me,

"It's delightful, it's delicious,

It's delectable, it's delirious,

It's dilemma, it's delimit, it's deluxe,

It's de-lovely".

[Me]

I feel a sudden urge to sing

The kind of ditty that invokes the spring.

[Evan]

I'll control my desire to curse

While you crucify the verse.

[Me]

This verse I started seems to me

The Tin-Pantithesis of a melody,

[Evan]

So spare us all the pain,

Just skip the darn thing and sing the refrain...

[ME]

Mi, mi, mi, mi,

Re, re, re, re,

Do, sol, mi, do, la, si.

The night is young, the skies are clear

So if you want to go walking, dear,

It's delightful, it's delicious, it's de-lovely.

I understand the reason why

You're sentimental, 'cause so am I,

It's delightful, it's delicious, it's de-lovely.

You can tell at a glance

What a swell night this is for romance,

You can hear dear Mother Nature

Murmuring low,

"Let yourself go!"

[Evan]

So please be sweet, my chickadee,

And when I kiss you, just say to me,

"It's delightful, it's delicious,

It's...It's de-lovely".

"Wow. Great job guys! Give them a hand, class!" she said, then the bell rang. "I better hear all of your duets by 3:30 today. See you tomorrow!"

"Are you ready to meet them?" Evan said.

No.
