Summary: "I used to think it would get in the way," he says. Barney/Robin.
Hand in hand, metal clinks lightly against metal, skin slides against skin. Her breath on his neck, two gasps, two sighs of contentment. In the afterglow, her head on his chest, hands still linked together.
"Feel any different?" she asks.
"Is there a reason I should?" he teases. His smile is playful but still sincere, warm. She loves that smile.
Robin holds up their entwined hands, then touches the gold band around his finger. "Well," she answers. "It is our first time wearing nothing but these..."
Barney examines the rings upon their fingers and touches hers lightly. "You know," he says, "I used to think it would get in the way of great sex...guess I've been proven wrong."
"Hmm, I'll say," she smiles.
He wraps his arm around her, she snuggles in closer and runs a hand along his chest. "So, you really think we're ready for this? The whole married life thing?"
Barney chuckles. "Um, Scherbatsky, isn't that a question you should have asked before, I don't know, the wedding?"
"Stintson," she corrects thoughtfully. "It's Stintson, now..."
"God, now that's going to take some getting used to. But seriously, you're not thinking of running out on me already? We're still on the honeymoon!"
"Of course not," she sighs. "Just double checking, making sure you're ready to be stuck with me, and only me, from now til the rest of forever..."
He smiles again. "Sounds even better when you put it like that."
"I think so too," she says, and leans in to kiss him, deep.
His eyes sparkle. "Round two?"
She loses her fingers in his hair and smiles. "Round two."
