Give Your Heart A Break

Scorpius is a prick, according to Rose. Olivia is a heartbreaker, according to James. Let's see how these love stories unfold.

So, over the weekend, I had the great opportunity of watching the X-Facor Auditions at the Oracle Arena. I nearly fainted when I saw Demi Lovato and Britney Spears! Anyway, this song came on the radio and I instantly thought of the Next Generation. A lot of OCs in this oneshot, but I hope you guys don't mind. Check out my other stories too, if you guys like what you read!

I do not own the song or the series. Just the mere idea and plot bunny.

The day I first met you,

You told me, you'd never fall in love

But now that I get you

I know fear is what it really was

- x -

First Year - Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy

Do not befriend the Weasley girl. Do not EVER befriend the Weasley girl.

Do not even THINK of falling in love with the Weasley girl.

Honestly, my father should've just blindfolded me when he dropped me off here. He should've told me that she was an ugly git, who had braces, and acne.

She was the complete opposite. And I, as an eleven year old, have developed a crush on her. I want to fall off a cliff now.

Rose Weasley was pretty. Prettier than the purebloods that I was used to talking too. Her fiery red hair was all over the place and her piercing blue eyes were kinda nice to look at. She had really straight teeth too. She was really pale, so pale that you can practically count every single one of her freckles.

I looked at my mum, trying to give her a smile. I ushered her to get to my height so I could whisper in her ear.

"Rose is so pretty, Mum!" His mother looked at him and grinned like a maniac.

- x -

Third Year - James Sirius Potter

Olivia Wood is a git. Scratch that, she's just dung.

Honestly! Why would she just go on a date with me? I'm not as bad as the rest of the blokes in our year!

...Wait. I think I am the baddest bloke in our year. But come on!

My dad is bloody Harry Potter, my godparents are Hermione and Ron Weasley, and my whole family is known around the Wizarding World!

I guess her family's well-known too. Her dad is Oliver Wood, the man who taught my dad how to play Quidditch. And her mum is a well-known healer. And my one of my mum's close friends. If our families are close, why can't she just go on a date with me?

I wanted to just hex her. But I can't do that. She's too pretty. So I'll just glare. And glare. And pout. Yeah.

"Potter, you look like Peeves when you do that."

"No I do NOT!"

- x -

Third Year - Olivia Marie Wood

James Potter is THE biggest prat I have ever met in my life.

He has the audacity to ask me out. AGAIN! Do I have to reject him a hundred times just so he can comprehend our situation?

The next time Ravenclaw is against Gryffindor during Quidditch, I will not hesitate to throw the quaffle straight to his face. I'm fine with it.

Oh look. The prat's pouting like a giant baby.

Oh bloody hell. I'm staring.

"Potter, you look like Peeves when you do that."

"No I do NOT!"

That's much better.

- x -

First Year - Rose Weasley

I cannot believe that Albus is now friends with him.

Daddy told us both to never be friends with the git!

Well, I don't if he's a git, but Daddy told me to beat him in everything. Even Quidditch!

I guess Scorpius is kinda cute. He has really blonde hair though. And I never thought that anyone could have steel gray eyes.

But Daddy said I cannot associate myself with him. And even worse. Never fall in love with him.

Oh no. I was looking at his eyes! Keep calm Rosie, keep calm.

Daddy and Mummy told me that they would write to me nearly everyday. And I'm already starting to miss them. And I really did not like that Albus is friends with him.

I miss home already.

- x -

Now here we are,

So close, yet so far

Haven't I passed the test?

When will you realize,

Baby I'm not like the rest

- x -

Fourth Year - James Sirius Potter

I can't believe she did that! In front of the whole entire school!

I'm a Potter, for Merlin's sake! I'm the Wonder Boy of this era! And a mere witch beat me in Quidditch? The love of my life?

Olivia will pay for this. I don't care if her eyes were so pretty to look at, or if her smile was intoxicating, or if her arse was the most perfect round things I have ever seen.

No girl is allowed to humiliate in front of everyone. That witch will pay.

And I'll have fun doing it.

- x -

Second Year - Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy

"Gosh, she's so pretty."

Merlin's balls. Did I just say that out loud? And I'm looking at Rose. Oh shit. Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit.

I can't believe I just did that. Now she's looking at me like I'm mental. Well, I am mental. For her.

Oh Merlin. Snap out of it, Scorp!

"Malfoy, are you okay?" Oh sweet, sweet Rose. Oh damnit. I'm going to go mental with her just sitting next to me. And I'm just twelve!

Well, at least we're friends. Father wasn't so fond of that, but Mum was really excited. And this was all because I'm best mates with Albus Potter.

Mum was about to piss her pants when I told her I was sorted in Gryffindor. Father got over it. He even started liking Al. Surprisingly.

Mr. Potter was excited to know that Albus had a friend. His mum was happy too. Hell, the Weasley clan was happy!

Well, except Mr. Weasley. Rose's dad. He wasn't happy that I'm friends with his daughter's cousin. So technically, I'm friends with her too.

"Uh, I'm just dandy, Weasley."

"Okay then." Merlin, please kill me now.

- x -

Fourth Year - Olivia Marie Wood

'To Do List'

1. Be the best damn chaser Ravenclaw has ever seen.

2. Beat Gryffindor.

3. Beat the hell out of James Potter.

Well, my list was pretty much all scratched off. Dad was extremely proud that Ravenclaw has only lost one match this year, all because of me.

I couldn't help but smirk every time I saw Potter and his pompous ass walking around the campus. Revenge was sweet.

Honestly, the nerve of that bloke! He just decides that he's all high and mighty and KISS ME?

Wait until Uncle Harry hears about this.

- x -

Second Year - Rose Weasley

Alexander Finnegan just asked me to sit next to him. THE Alexander Finnegan.

Oh Merlin, he's so dreamy! And such a gentleman, for a twelve year old!

I don't understand why Al and Scorp were glaring at us though.

The most sought-after boy in our year asked me to sit next to him. Me! Rose Weasley!

Shouldn't they be happy for their best mate?

- x -

Don't wanna break your heart, wanna give your heart a break.

I know you're scared, it's wrong. Like you might make a mistake.

There's just one life to live, and there's no time to wait.

So let me give your heart a break, oh yeah yeah.

- x -

Fourth Year - Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy

"I was so stupid, Scorp!"

Rose was clinging on to me, sobbing her heart out.

She finally figured out that Alexander Finnegan was cheating on her. With her own cousin, Molly. The nerve of the git!

So of course, I'm the best mate and was the first one she looked for. And now here she was, crying her eyes out.

Everyone, even her own family, knew that I'm in love with her. Ever since first year. Except for her though.

"I loved him! I really did!" Ouch. That hurt. A lot.

I don't know what to say, so I just held her. Hey, at least she's single.

- x -

Sixth Year - Olivia Marie Wood

I can't believe I'm on a date with James Potter.

But here we are, casually sipping on our butterbeer, while everyone and their mothers were gawking at us.

"Gits." I muttered. James choked on his butterbeer. I was a natural born comedian.

I thought this date was going to be horrible, but I was proven wrong.

James is capable of being a gentleman, surprisingly. And he actually was cute.

Who knew he had an adorable bum too?

- x -

Fourth Year - Rose Weasley

It's Christmas time.

I supposed I should at least be merry for my family's sake.

But I can't help it. She's here. I know, she apologized, but Merlin why? I know I have to see her everywhere with him, but at least I didn't have to see them together at the Burrow.

I have to sigh. I grabbed the green Christmas sweater that Nana made and walked down the stairs, clearly not paying attention to my surroundings until I bumped into someone.

"Uh, Rose..." Oh, it's Scorp. Why does he sound nervous? Why is he looking up?

Oh. A mistletoe. Well, as tradition says.

I grabbed his face and kissed him full on the lips. Honestly, this was the best thing I have ever felt. But no. I can't. I had to push him away.

"No Scorp. Just no."

- x -

Sixth Year - James Sirius Potter

I looked at Rose and Scorpius.

Honestly, they need to shag already. It's obvious they love each other. Well, it's obvious that Scorpius loves Rose.

Hell, everyone in the family is rooting to "ScoRose" to happen already. Even Uncle Ron!

Looking at them depressed me. Obviously something's up between them.

Then Olivia came into my mind.

I miss my girlfriend.

- x -

On Sunday you went home alone

There were tears in your eyes

I called your cell phone, my love

But you did not reply

- x -

Fifth Year - Rose Weasley

Rose Petal, you haven't talk to me in nearly six months.

Please. I'm begging you. Just reply to this owl.

Are you okay? Al tells me that you don't talk to anyone.

Not even to your own Nana. Please Rosie.

love, Scorp

Malfoy, I'm fine.

Please leave me alone. I do not need to keep in contact with you.

Let me live my life and I'll let you live yours.

- Weasley

Rosie, I miss you.

I miss your laugh, your smile, your hugs, hell, even you nagging me to

do my homework! Rose, you already know that I love you. You can't

let what Nate did to you keep affecting your actions with everyone.

I'm worried for you. Everyone is.

I love you, Rose. Why can't you see that?

- Scorp

Malfoy, no you do not. You're just telling me that. Please stop telling me

that you love me. Nate is nothing to me. I don't see why everyone's so

worried about me. Just leave me alone.

- Weasley

- x -

Fifth Year - Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy

Hogwarts was having a prom. Rose told me it was some muggle-type of dance.

Well, at least Rose was fine now. I beat up Nate. She was proud of that. So now, she's the old Rose Weasley again.

She still doesn't want to talk about what happened during Christmas, and I don't understand why. I told her I love her, but she hasn't responded to the feelings yet.

She's my date for prom. It took me a long time to get her to say yes, but perseverance never fails. So now I'm here in front of the Great Hall entrance, dressed in my best dress robes, waiting for my beautiful date.

Rose Weasley looked marvelous.

Her emerald green dress complimented her hair and body. Her hair was in her natural curls, and she had limited make-up on. I couldn't help it. My heart was beating faster when she looked at me and beamed.

"Rose, I love you."

She smiled and linked arms with me.

"I know."

- x -

Wedding Day - Olivia Marie Wood

I can't believe it.

Today's my wedding day.

My wedding day with James Potter.

I looked at myself in the mirror, and I had to admit, I looked beautiful. I tried to fight the urge to cry and nearly succeeded.

Who would've guessed that he and I were actually going to get married? Especially right after graduating!

Rose entered my room, dressed in the marvelous light blue bridemaid's dress. She gave me one of her signature smiles.

"How does it feel, nearly being a Potter?" she asked me, giggling. I couldn't help but grin like a maniac.

"Olivia Marie Potter. I like that sound of that," I sighed dreamily.

I really did fall in love with that bloke.

- x -

Wedding Day - James Sirius Potter

The wedding march started.

I was sweating bullets. I was getting married. To her.

What if she realizes that it's too soon? Or that she didn't love me at all?

I fought for her for nearly seven years. I was not going to let her go. I loved that git way too much.

I saw Rose being escorted by Scorpius, both of them looking absolutely happy. They were made for each other.

Dad gave me his crooked smile, while Mum was letting her tears freely fall. I was going to be married in minutes.

As soon as I saw Olivia with her father, I fell in love all over again.

And soon enough,

"I now present, Mr. and Mrs. James Sirius Potter! You may now kiss the bride!"

- x -

The world is ours if we want it

We can take it if you just take my hand

There's no turning back now

Baby, try to understand

- x -

Seventh Year - Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy

I kissed Rose's forehead.

We weren't a couple. Yet. But she knew that I love her. I didn't know about her though. Our relationship was confusing as hell.

She didn't let go of him, and I didn't mind. I loved her smell. Pure, sweet, and innocent vanilla.

I just stood there, with my lovely Rose.

"Screw you, Malfoy!"

"What did I do now?"

"You're a vile git, you know that right!"

"What in the bloody hell did I do-"

A bunch of little doves started attacking me. But soon enough, they went away.

Rose was standing right in front of me, her hair wild and her face utterly red. She looked quite attractive. Maybe even delicious...

But that was not the point. She was blaming him for something that he clearly did not do.

"Why are you so mad at me, Rosie! I didn't do anything!" I defended. I honestly didn't know what I did.

Rose now had tears streaming down her face. "You kissed her! You kissed Lucy!" And with that, she rushed up to her own dormitory.

Shit. Ididn't kiss Lucy. Lucy kissed me. And right after that, I instantly pushed the witch away.

What was with the Weasley cousins hurting their own kind? It was quite repulsive.

I bit my lower lip and punch the nearest wall.

Everything was perfect between us.

- x -

Seventh Year - Rose Weasley

My cousins were out to ruin my love life. I knew it.

I love Scorpius. Well, loved.

I didn't realize it till recently. But now it's useless. I was hurt again. But now, by the guy who supposedly loved me back.

Merlin's balls. Why can't I have a relationship like James and Olivia? They were even expecting their first child soon!

I need to focus on my studies. I want to be an Auror. I need to be an Auror. I need to ease the pain. I need to give my heart a break from all of this.

I need to shut him out. I need to get him out of my life.

- x -

When your lips are on my lips

And our hearts beat as one

But you slip out of my fingertips

Every time you run, whoa-oh-whoa-oh-oh

- x -

Seventh Year - Rose Weasley

Graduation was just right around the corner. And Uncle Harry had gotten me accepted into one of the best Auror training camps in Britain.

Daddy was nearly crying while Mummy was smiling like a git. Hugo was proud that his sister would be some-sort of hero.

Of course, Scorpius got in too. I mean, he was brilliant. We were Head Boy and Girl and the top students in our class. Of course we were going to make it in.

Of course, my feelings for him developed even further than I wanted. He continuously sent me love letters/notes, never failing to remind me that I was beautiful or that he loved me. I never replied to them.

I was too scared. But if I was going to be an Auror, all of this needed to change.

Rosie, I know I'm going to sound incredibly stupid right now.

But I want you to marry me. I know we never really "dated"

but I know you love me. I can see it in your eyes. Please.

I'm begging Rose. Just admit that you love me.

- Scorp

Seventh Year - Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy

Rose looked so beautiful up there, looking out into the crowd with that determined look on her face.

I guess being the daughter of two war heroes gave her that confidence.

I listened to what she was saying, never being able to get rid of her smiling face from my mind.

"As a first year, I was terrified of the thought of leaving my parents. I even remember sending my father an owl, telling him to pick me up. I was frightened by the thought of having to meet new people, as I was not used to that idea. I mean, if you come from my family, you really didn't need to make any friends," she joked, while everyone laughed, especially her Nana and Grampi.

"But I did make new friends. And ones that I will keep forever," she paused, staring directly at me. I felt my heart beat faster than ever before. "My time at Hogwarts has left me with many memories. My first detention, my first kiss, my first Quidditch win, my first heartbreak, and even my first love. Hogwarts taught me that life is filled with choices and decisions that we will soon have to face.

"This school is my second home. My parents risked their lives in these very halls. My whole family has been through these halls. I pass each corridor and think of all the things that might've happened here. I also learned to grow up. To face the obstacles that we have feared before.

"The people I have met here at Hogwarts will forever be close to me. And this school will forever be our home!"

With that, each Hogwarts graduate stood up and gave Rose an applause. Guess who was the loudest?

As she stepped down from the stage, we stopped and stared at each other. It seemed like time stopped for us. I only saw her. And that made me feel like the happiest man on Earth.

Next thing you know, she was running at full speed and jumped on me, giggling like a maniac.

"I love you, Scorpius." What?

My eyes grew wide as I held her face. "Rose? Are you serious?" I asked, breathing heavily. She nodded.

I laughed and spun her around. "Merlin's balls! Rose Weasley admitted that she loves me!" I could not stop looking at this woman in front of me.

We spent the rest of our time with our friends and family, never leaving each other's side and never letting go of each other's hands.

- x -

Six years later...

"I'm going to puke!" Scorpius murmured as Albus glared at him.

The youngest Potter smacked him upside the head. "Are you saying that marrying my cousin is disgusting!"

Scorpius's gray eyes grew wide and he began to stutter. "N-n-no! She's amazing, Al! I'm just nervous, that's all!"

Next thing you know, Ron and his father were at the door.

"It's time, Scorpius."

Everyone looked marvelous.

Olivia and James were sitting near the front row, holding little Ollie. My mother was openly crying while my father held her. Albus was grinning like a madman. Mrs. Weasley was smiling, trying not to cry in front of everyone. The whole Weasley clan was in tears. Their Rosie was all grown-up and about to be married. To me of course.

My palms were sweating. I felt disgusting.

What if she changes her mind? I can't handle that. I've been waiting for her for nearly thirteen years.

Rosie didn't want to get married right after Hogwarts. We did train side-by-side at the Auror camp though. We were the best team there. Two years later, we were working under THE Harry Potter and protecting the wizarding world. Rose didn't want us to rush our relationship, and I honestly didn't mind, as long as I had her.

When I finally felt like it was the right time to propose, I didn't hesitate. Right when we were about to be killed by Edgar Hillingon, I proposed. It was the perfect time for me, except she wasn't so thrilled about it. But she said yes. And we had that bloke flown to Azkaban immediately.

Finally, I saw her. My bride. My Rose.

She looked stunning. Her red hair was in an intricate bun, with her veil covering her face. Mr. Weasley was obviously crying, holding on to Rose for his dear life. When they finally reached me, I didn't know what to say.

"Rose, remember what I told you when you were about to go in the train your first year?" Mr. Weasley asked, giving his daughter a big hug.

Rose laughed and looked into her father's eyes. "You told me to never fall in love with Malfoy, Daddy," she replied softly, looking at me.

I chuckled. "My father told me the exact thing, Mr. Weasley," I added in, "but I will love her forever."

With that, I was standing at the altar with Rose Weasley. The love of my life.

I, Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy, am truly happy.

"I introduce to you, Mr. and Mrs. Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy! You may now kiss your bride!"

- x -

The day I first met you
You told me you'd never fall in love

This is the LONGEST oneshot I have ever written, with nearly 5,000 words! It's been fun writing this!

Don't forget to review, guys!
