Prologue: Concrete Angel

He rides the train to school with no lunch packed
Nobody knows what he's holding back
Forced to wear the same robes each day, or else
He hides his cuts and bruises with potions and spells.

His friends and classmates wonder, but they never ask
It's impossible to see the hurt behind his mask
Bearing the burden of a secret storm
Sometimes he wishes he was never born.

Through the wind and the rain, he stands hard as a stone in a world that he can't rise above
But his dreams give him wings and he flies to a place where he's loved.

Concrete Angel.

As his screams of pain pierce the warm summer air
The neighbors hear, but none of them care.
A fragile soul caught in the hands of Fate
When the clock strikes midnight, it'll be too late.

Through the wind and the rain, he stands hard as a stone in a world that he can't rise above
But his dreams give him wings and he flies to a place where he's loved.

Concrete Angel.

A golden casket sits on a table in a darkened room
A young boy rests inside the gilded tomb
A werewolf and animagus cling to each other, letting out heartbroken cries
They'd adopted him just twelve hours before his abusive uncle had ended his life.

Through the wind and the rain, he stands hard as a stone in a world that he can't rise above
But his dreams give him wings and he flies to a place where he's loved.

Concrete Angel.
