I don't own Doctor Who.

She can't remember. Why can't she remember? She knows she should, but something is wrong. A man… no. She doesn't remember, and maybe it doesn't matter enough.

A girl. She can see a girl in her mind's eye. A glowing, golden girl. "Hello," the girl says.

"Hi," Amy replies cautiously.

"It's been a while since you saw me, Amy," the girl says. "You probably wouldn't remember me."

"Who are you?"

"I'm no one, and I'm everyone. You may call me the Bad Wolf, or even Time. But for now, I am Rose."

"Rose?" Amy asks. "Should I know you?"

"I doubt it. He never speaks about the past. Though, currently, I am the future."

"Why are you here?" Amy asks.

"I've frozen time in order to speak to you about a man you should remember," Rose says.

"A man? Who?"

"The most wonderful man in the universe," Rose sighs. "The Doctor."

"Who is he?"

"He is Time's Champion, the Destroyer of Worlds, the Oncoming Storm, the man who makes people better," she swallows, "and the stuff of legends."

"The Doctor," Amy whispers, "The Doctor."

"Go to him, Amy Pond. Call him back into being," Rose smiles sadly, disappearing from Amy's view. She can see the real world again, and she shouts, bringing the Doctor back, just as Rose had said to.

Stuff of legends, Amy thinks. The perfect description for the alien.
