"Daddy?" Amelia asked, her voice wavering from the storm outside. It was well past the six year olds' bedtime but the thunder scared her.

"Yes Amelia?" Her father replied wiping the sleep from his eyes.

"It's scary out. Can I stay with you please daddy?"

"Of course you can sweetie." Her father smiled pulling back the covers. Amelia jumped into bed snuggling her teddy bear closer to her chest.

"I see you have Pooh Bear with you."

"And Piglet. He is really scared of the noise."

"Yes, Piglet can be quite frightened but he can also be quite brave."

"Can you tell me the story?" Amelia asked.

"Another time Amelia, it is past your bed time and tomorrow is your last day of kindergarten before summer."

"Alright daddy. I love you." Amelia smiled settling into the pillow, Winnie the Pooh and Piglet clutched to her chest. Her father kissed her head before settling down next to her.

"I love you too my Amelia Robin."

It had been a long time since Christopher Robin played in the Hundred Acre Woods. He had to grow up and do grown up things like get a job and get married. But he never forgot his friends: Pooh bear, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga and Roo. He kept them safe for when he would have a child of his own. And when Amelia Christine Robin was born, the Hundred Acre Woods came alive once more. Hefflalumps and Woozles were chased after, honey was found and adventures were around every corner.

"Where is Amelia?" Pooh asked Piglet. Yes Pooh was quite old for a bear but he still felt young at heart. A little lost stuffing never stopped him before.

"I don't know Pooh." Piglet sniffed. The thunderstorm had scared him last night and he knew Amelia always gave the best hugs.

"I think I see her!" Rabbit piped up. They all turned and saw in the distance a small figure running forward.

"I'm back! I'm back!" Amelia yelled throwing herself onto her friends. Pooh always thought that girl had more energy than Tigger some days.

"Oh Amelia Robin it has been so lonely here without you!" Pooh sighed.

"I know you silly old bear but I had to finish school. Now it's summer and we can play until I get called for dinner! And then I will come back tomorrow! And the next day and the next day and the next day and the next!" Amelia giggled falling to the ground.

"Amelia!" Kanga came forward hugging the small girl. Kanga always gave the best mom hugs.

"Kanga! I've missed you! And Roo can we play? Tigger said we he was going to teach us to bounce!"

"Yea Mama, can we play?" Roo asked.

"Alright little ones go play. But come when I call you for lunch."

"Yes Mama."

"Yes Kanga."

Amelia and Roo chased after Tigger singing loudly. Pooh and Piglet weren't far behind. After bouncing for quite some time, the group collapsed to the ground laughing loudly and the clouds as they passed.

From the kitchen window, Christopher Robin saw his daughter in the distance lying on the grass with her friends from the Hundred Acre Woods.

"Oh Pooh, you silly old bear."

If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever.
