Rewatching the episodes where Kakuzu and Hidan fight Kakashi and all them really makes me sad and I can't watch the end . I mean, really, I physically can't watch what happens to them. Sasori was bad enough, but not the others. It hurts to think about your favorite characters dying off. Even with Kabuto and the much later episodes, they all have the same fate there, too, and I won't enjoy seeing that (if I can bring myself to watch it, that is).

Anywho, please enjoy, if there's anyone out here who still reads this, that is.

No matter how much Kakuzu said he hated his partners religion and the way he performed the ceremonies, there was always something about them that nearly drove him over the edge.

Perhaps it was the crazed look in eyes fading into pure pleasure as he clutched his rosary, holding it close to his lips, murmuring soft prayers to the God above. Or maybe it his messy hair and blood stained clothes (or what was left of them) that clung to his forehead and body. Could it be the way he would lay there, for hours if he could, with red stains on his cheeks and hands, glancing at Kakuzu with eyes that just called his name, begging for him to come join in on his pleasure filled moment?

Kakuzu wasn't sure which it was, but nonetheless, all those things combined were sometimes too much to handle. When Hidan would sit up and breathlessly say he was finished, Kakuzu could feel a knot in his stomach, his hearts clench, and his breathing quicken if just a little.

Tonight was one of those nights.

Hidan lay, bathed in his own blood on the ground, whispering words in an unknown language. His magenta eyes were glassy and focused on the dark sky, as if his God were right in front of him. Perhaps he was, to Hidan. Kakuzu knew damn well there was no such thing as God and especially not his partners.

But he was willing to put that aside when his teammate was looking this delicious.

He watched Hidan, clench his fingers around the pendant and lazily look in his direction. His stomach tightening, Kakuzu waited. He could never decide if he wanted to watch Hidan as long as he could lay in that circle or just grab him and end it then.

Maybe tonight would be little different. In fact, he knew it would with the way Hidan had a soft smile on his face and glossy look in his eyes, which were still focused on him. He wondered for a moment... is he thinking about me? Is he telling his God about me? Of course those thoughts left a s soon as he thought them and he shook his head at himself. What does it matter? He doesn't exist, there's nothing to tell.

Hidan's gaze shifted back to the sky. Kakuzu followed suit. It was dark out, maybe nearing midnight, he guessed. Being in a nearby clearing by a poor unsuspecting town, the stars were shining brightly and the moon was full.

Kakuzu would never admit it, but he always enjoyed nights where he could sit and think, in peace, and enjoy the things he didn't get to on business. Or with Hidan's usual loud mouth filling his ears and everyone five miles away.

"Kakuzu." Speaking of Hidan's voice, iit seems he's done. Kakuzu looked back down to his partner who lay in silence, a rare occasion after a ritual. His eyes were closed and his breathing even. He could have easily been mistaken for sleeping or dead, Kakuzu thought.

Walking over to Hidan's body, he kneeled down, knowing indeed, this night would be different than the others. Hidan's eyes opened, looking right back into Kakuzu's oddly colored ones. With ease, Kakuzu scooped Hidan up into his arms, grabbing the scythe on his way into the nearby village.

Hidan remained quiet, his hands loosely holding on to his partners cloak. He let himself be carried, something he enjoyed quite a bit. Kakuzu's always warm, he thought absent-mindedly.

Kakuzu, feeling the sudden tightening grip on his front looked down at Hidan, his stomach feeling like it was doing flip after flip. He pulled Hidan up closer to him, not much minding when said man pushed himself closer, his face burying deep into his chest.

They made their way into the small town, finding a quiet, cheap place to stay for the night. The old woman at the counter didn't blink twice as two Akatsuki members asked for one of her rooms.

Once to their room, Kakuzu placed Hidan down, resting his weapon on the wall nearby. Hidan scooted himself up against the headboard of the bed, waiting for the other to come give him company he knows they both want.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, Kakuzu looked over to his partner, their eyes locking for a moment.

"Hidan." It wasn't a question, he wasn't demanding anything. It was merely a comment drifting through the air now. Said man crawled onto his knees, however, leaning close to the tanned face. Of course Kakuzu met him halfway, their noses brushing, Hidan's messy hair tickling his cheeks.

As HIdan sat on his knees, he brought his hands up to pull the cloth separating them from what would begin the night. He slipped the face mask down Kakuzu's chin, rubbing his fingers over the wire-like threads that adorned Kakuzu's face.

"I don't think you understand how cute these are," Hidan whispered, his eyes soft and touch gentle. He pressed his lips to Kakuzu's warm ones, the older responding just as slow and sweet.

Yes, tonight will be different.

"Hidan," Kakuzu said, pulling back slightly. His partner gave a quiet "hm?", his pale hands trying to get the other to face him fully. Kakuzu complied, slipping his and Hidan's foot gear off as he did so. "When you were praying earlier, you looked at me." Hidan blinked, slowly nodding his head.

"I always do," he replies, wrapping his arms around the taller man.

"Why?" Hidan remained quiet, his cheeks speaking for him as they lit up a sweet shade of pink. "Tell me," Kakuzu urged softly, his larger hands going around the others waist.

"I pray for you," Hidan tells him slowly. "Not asking for you to convert or anything like that, though." He rubs little circles on Kakuzu's back, sitting with his legs on either side of is partner.

"What do you do, then?" Kakuzu felt the knot in his stomach again, it was growing with every move Hidan made. From the way his thighs rubbed his sides to the way his hair tickled his nose as the other leaned in close, unbuttoning the cloak he wore.

He remains silent though, unzipping the complicated article of clothing. Kakuzu watched emotions play across the pale, but pink tinted, face. His eyes would soften up, his face relaxed, then they would mix into something that looked like embarrassment.

"Hidan, tell me." His voice was calm, quiet. His hands fell to the others cloak as well, pulling the zipper down the rest of the way. He pulled it away from Hidan, tossing it to the floor beside their creaky bed. With still no answer, though Kakuzu knew getting impatient would ruin the night, he grabbed Hidan's hands, holding them close to slow beating heart. He looked his partner in the eyes, red and green on pink.

"I was asking Jashin for..." his voice trailed off, the smaller hands gripping the shirt where Kakuzu's heart would be. "I asked him to watch over you," he finally spills, his eyes anywhere but Kakuzu, his cheeks glowing, hands gripping harder.

Kakuzu all but sat in shock for a moment. Watch over me? He grabbed both of his pale companions hands into one of his own, the now free one tilting the silver head to face him.

"Explain," he murmurs. Hidan's fingers wrap around the tan hand, his eyes cast down at them.

"I ask him every time to watch over you. I ask that he save you, should something happen to you. I plead and pray that you live forever, because we both know you're not like I am, Kakuzu. You're not going to live forever if you're not careful." By this point, Hidan was on the verge of tears, his cheeks still hot, fingers loosening then regripping. "Should something happen to you, what would I do? How could I save you, or stop someone from taking you? That's why I watch you when I pray. I ask Jashin to make sure you're okay." Leaning down, Kakuzu captured Hidan in a sweet, slow kiss, the other's tears finally falling.

"You shouldn't worry about me," he says, using the free hand to wipe the tumbling tears.

"I don't care what happens to me, Kakuzu. I'll be fine, but you..." his voice cracks and his eyes shut in embarrassment. "I know we fight and I know we don't always get along, but I love you, you bastard. I would beg death upon myself just to be with you if that were the case." Hidan's voice quieted down. He leaned his head on his lovers chest, sniffling.

"Look at me," Kakuzu ordered, his voice suddenly stern. Hidan took a breath, peeking up at the tan man. "I don't want you to worry about me, you know I wouldn't..." It was Kakuzu's turn to look away. "You know I wouldn't just leave you. Who else would deal with you?" Hidan cracked a weak smile, pulling his hands away from the others. Putting his hands on both cheeks, he brought his partner down, kissing gently at the always warm lips.

Kakuzu pushed him down on his back, hovering over the silver haired man. It wasn't harsh, it wasn't rough. It wasn't like all the other times before and they were both okay with that. It was just being together that really mattered at this time.

Holding himself up with one arm, Kakuzu reached down, gently running his fingers down the pale, blood stained chest, the knot growing and intensifying. He ignored it, though, watching the way Hidan moved into his touch, opened his mouth in a silent noise, and pulled gently at the sheets as his lover found his sensitive spots with expertise.

Leaning down, Kakuzu bit softly in to Hidan's hip, his hands making sure to keep the Jashinist moving with pleasure. He palmed Hidan's growing arousal with soft touches, moving back up to claim his lips. He felt Hidan's hips rise with anticipation and want.

Kakuzu definitely wasn't complaining.

The pale hands made their way to the larger body above his, pulling the head gear off his partner, his eyes watching every strand of dark hair that fell into those oddly colored eyes. The small hands went down more, tugging the shirt his partner currently wore. Taking his hands away from Hidan, he fulfilled Hidan's silent plea, removing his shirt and kicking his pants off with them.

Hidan sat up at this, running his hands down the tan, stitched up chest. He knew Kakuzu was sensitive in those areas, though he hadn't ever admitted to it. But he knew when his tongue darted out, licking around the edges of the sewn up skin, and how Kakuzu's breathing stopped momentarily. He would glance up and see Kakuzu's face relaxed (something that rarely happened), he would feel the way the polished fingers would just ever so slightly dig into whatever part of Hidan he was touching.

Hidan couldn't help but smirk, he really couldn't. Seeing his partner in such a state was something he relished in when he got the rare chance to see it. Hidan wasted no time pushing his remaining clothes down and laying back down, knees bent, legs spread deliciously.

"Kakuzu," Hidan moaned out quietly. He smiled when his partner shed his own remaining clothing, hovering once again over the pale Jashinist. Hidan saw something then when his partner grabbed his hand, holding it against his bare chest, right where his heart was. Warm, he thought, looking into his partners eyes. Yes, he saw something there as he wrapped his legs around his lovers waist, hips going up, erections rubbing together gently.

Lust, of course, but there was something hidden behind those green eyes.

Hidan let out the tiniest of whimpers, rubbing against the other again. Kakuzu pushed his hand harder against his fastly beating heart, then leaned down, kissing Hidan once more before pushing himself slowly into the all too familiar heat.

"K-Kuzu," Hidan softly moaned against the others lips. Kakuzu sat still, his hand clutching Hidan's tightly, fully inside the moaning boy. "Please." How could he have said no to that beautifully flushed face and glazed over pink eyes?

He started slow, just getting the rhythm right. Hidan didn't care, didn't notice. He was just happy having Kakuzu in him, their hands intertwined, foreheads touching. He smiled as Kakuzu sped up the littlest bit, aiming for the place he knew would make Hidan see stars.

And stars he saw.

"Fuck," he moaned, rocking sloppily back against Kakuzu as said man thrust slow and deep into Hidan's prostate. Their breaths mixed, the air became sticky, and their grip on each other tightened. For Kakuzu, it wasn't the only thing tightening.

His stomach was telling him that the knot he had been feeling was soon to be released, he was feeling Hidan growing hot and tight around his arousal. He sped up noticably this time.

"Ka-Kakuzu!" Hidan moaned into his shoulder now, eyes shut in pleasure, legs tightening as his release was nearing. "Kakuzu," he whispered, his voice hushed and breaths coming out fast.

Kakuzu, though, wasn't quite ready to let Hidan or himself go just yet.

He sat up slightly, keeping his fast pace, deep thrusts, looking into Hidan's lust filled eyes. He pushed hard against his heart.

"Hidan, say it," Kakuzu whispered, his breathing fast and hard. Hidan's face turned scarlet, his eyes showing embarrassment. "Please." Pulling his other arm around Kakuzu's back, he brought him close, the dark strands of hair falling on his pale shoulders, the stitches giving his partner a permanent smile rubbing softly against his neck.

"Nnn, Kakuzu, I love you, I love you, I love you-ah!" As he felt the speeding up heart, the tender kiss placed on his neck, the liquid filling him up, it was too much for him to handle. He came, shaking violently, calling out the others name.

They laid there for what seemed like an eternity, covered in sweat, a sticky substance on both their stomachs. Their hair stuck to each others face, their lips meeting in a long, love filled kiss.

When they were both cleaned and under the blankets on the creaky bed, no words were said because there wasn't a need for them.

Kakuzu felt his heart clench as the knot disappeared and the sleeping man next to him moved closer, their bodies mingled together comfortably. He pushed Hidan's hair away from his eyes and rest their foreheads together, sighing.

This is the feeling you have when you know you've thrown your self away to the hands of someone else.

And on this unusual night, Kakuzu couldn't help but finally say the words Hidan had been waiting for.

"I love you, too," he said, closing his eyes. You've got my heart, all of them. You've turned me soft, Hidan. You're stuck with me now, forever. I won't let you leave and I won't either.

Ah, yes. The look of love, was it? Surely it was.

Hidan however, wasn't asleep just yet. Smiling, curled his hands around the tan arm he currently held close to his chest. Yeah, that's exactly what I saw.
